I have mixed feelings for this restaurant. Pros: the food is good, service is fast, and the portions are filling enough. Cons: the food and service is fast, but sometimes too fast, and compared other places that have larger portions, the price is a little higher. For my friends, this is one of their top choices for Thai food. I started coming here after they recommended it. The first few times were great, but the past few times, the portions were getting smaller, but it is still filling. Just the price-to-proportion is a little on the pricier side compared to the other Thai restaurants. The service sometimes feels rushed, and the food comes out really quick - which should be a good thing, but the food sometimes comes out burnt. I do like having the food with a little fire taste, but some of the veggies come out very burnt. Overall, I would still come here if I was really hungry and wanted the food to come out quick. But I still have my other top choices for my Thai cravings. Also note: they added an 18% gratuity, which was fine (that's less than what I normally tip), but thought I'd bring that up for others. I don't know if this is a new thing for them or if it was just towards my table, but there was only 3 of us. This place is incredible and takes the cake for my favorite Thai in Indy! Came in on a Saturday night and had the crab rangoons, chicken pad Thai, and drunken noodles, all of which were outstanding. I'll be thinking about the drunken noodles for a looongg time. Thai Station is a cute restaurant tucked in the strip mall across from the Fashion Mall. Always quick and friendly service followed by quick food service. I have enjoyed the pad thai and the pad see ew. My husband enjoys the red curry and likes that the vegetables are still crisp. We always get the tasty crab rangoon as well! Ordered takeout and it was pipin' hot! We're big pad Thai lovers and find a hobby in finding new favorite spots. Let me tell you; this spot is tied for our number one pad Thai. Now that's big. The sauce was great and the noodles weren't drenched in oil. The owner was also nice and had the food ready early. They're currently doing both takeout and delivery on the Yelp app (in the midst of COVID). I went inside to pick up my order and was impressed by the interior. There was a beautiful wall of wine bottles that were lit up and super gorgeous. The rest of the restaurant was super pretty and newly designed. My household decided that we were not cooking for New Year's Eve. While in line for cookies, we could not help but smell a fragrant blend of spices that literally had my mouth watering. Looking in the window of Thai Station I tried to inconspicuously catch a glimpse of what patrons were eating. Since I could not get a good peek without looking like a food stalker, I jumped on Yelp and decided after a few reviews and photos, Thai Station would be a new place for us to try. Now I will be honest and say that there are 2 places I go to for Thai food. 1 I only get basil fried rice and the other place pad see ewe. No other place has been able to touch either place for their respective dishes. I tried pineapple fried rice about 4 years ago and was not impressed at another place so I never tried the dish again. The lady that took my orders was supper friendly and told me our order would be ready in a quick 20 minutes. True to her word, 20 minutes later I was smiling from ear to ear ready to dig in but had to get home first. I did hear the infamous Doordash ding ding so it is nice to know I can order delivery if I do not want to roll up to the Fashion Mall area. When I got home and opened up the meal style prep containers labeled so that I could easily ID basil fried rice from pineapple fried rice, I was impressed. I stopped by for lunch here while I was out shopping in the Keystone Crossing area. It's a very convenient and quiet location. Most Thai restaurants I go to are culturally decorated in Thai decor, but this place surprised me with a very rustic chic ambiance. It had comfortable booth seating options, nice sturdy tri-fold menus, nicely folded cloth napkin utensils, American pop music playing and a bar counter with wooden bar stools. All of these aspects make for a closer fine dining experience which is not as prominent with Ethnic restaurants in Indiana. I'm very excited to see that they are moving towards this and are proving that they can provide a fine dining experience as well. I ordered the Yum Wun Sen salad with shrimp. If you are a salad lover and want something a bit different, I would definitely give this a shot! There are onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and silver noodles mixed with a sweet and sour sauce. I had been craving Thai when I came across this place on Yelp. This restaurant is small and quiet, definitely a cute date night spot. The food is fantastic... probably the best Thai food I've had in a long time. It seems like this restaurant is an undiscovered gem so there weren't many people dining in, but this made my experience seem very exclusive and low key. For starters we ordered dumplings (AMAZING!!!!) and fried tofu. I was very basic with my main dish and got pad Thai, but this may have been the best pad Thai I've had in Indy so far! My roommate ordered the garlic and pepper entree with beef, and she was not disappointed! My wife and I stopped into this small Thai shop in a strip mall across from the entrance into Keystone at the Crossing. Parking was pretty crowded due to the surplus of restaurants along this strip, but we found one on the back row along the highway. She thought it good, but should have gotten an upgrade on spiciness level or asked for soy sauce....just needed a little something to make her happy. I ordered my standard Pad see ew (pork) also with a mild spice level, though I usually go with a medium spice. I thought the meal had a nicely balanced flavor and the thick noodles were lightly coated. The veggies could have been cut a little smaller, but otherwise, they were fine. Each entree came with a cup of soup (fuller flavor than most places I've been), a small gingered salad, and a crisp spring roll with a sweet dipping sauce. I have been meaning to review this restaurant but of course life has been busy. Since my first visit in March, I have been back there about 8 times! The flavor is what I have been missing with other Thai restaurants changing ownership or cooks and lose the factor(s) that make them great. I have ordered the Pad Thai and Basil fried rice, which are both excellent. But my favorite dish is the Pad Kee Mao. The spicy basil sauce takes it to another level! I ordered a side of fried rice to compliment the sauce since there are not too many flat noodles, but I would recommend white rice instead as it was a bit too greasy with the fried rice. I've been here for dinner a few times. They are located in an unassuming strip mall facing 86th Street across from the Keystone Fashion Mall. I love the taste and aroma of Thai basil, so it's hard for me to not get the Basil Leaves Chicken. It's sort of my barometer for any Thai restaurant. The plating of this meal is gorgeous, with the green beans, red bell pepper, white chicken breast, and dark orange colored sauce. Delicious!!! The meal comes with a side of piping hot rice. Was out shopping at Keystone and the Crossing area today and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. I have a die-hard LOVE for authentic Thai food, particularly Basil fried rice. Oh boy! Thai Station, was the right choice! We dined in during their lunch special which offers your typical Thai entrees which includes a soup, small fresh salad, and spring roll (with a delicious peanut - nutty sauce to dip) I requested chicken for my meat but they have other substitutes and I believe you can go with no meat should you choose to do so. The meal was ordered and brought out to our table in like 5 min tops, and everything was perfectly seasoned, not overly hot but the right amount of heat. I chose medium spice, and it lets you know it's in the dish with a bit of a kick in every forkful. Very pleasant answering the phone and taking payment. The spring rolls were delicious and not over fried. Of note, the Pad Thai ( go to order with a new restaurant) was not greasy! We also ordered dumplings. The only actual issue was the dumpling order being incorrect. I ordered the fried dumplings which we saw in a picture and wanted, but when we got home we had been given steamed dumplings. The inside was too dense and had a distinct flavor that wasn't exactly horrible but not good either. Our entrees were both good, but nothing to write home about. The difference in spice level was really strange given that we ordered medium for both. I personally feel restaurants around shopping malls are with more like stop-for-a-bite kind of vibe, so I didn't expect much from Thai Station since this was not our top options for dinner that night anyways. However, their super friendly and attentive service and stunning dishes absolutely shined and made the whole dinner quite memorable. It's not big but it's very clean and tidy. The rice bowls had little plates under to eliminate any possible contamination. They made top of the paper straw wrap into an origami rose for our Thai iced tea, which lightened up our night immediately. My friend ordered Volcano dish which came in a sizzling hot plate and it smelt incredible even across the table. Among all the dishes, my favorite was the Ginger Lover. They were able to make the sliced ginger so juicy and tasty and I just couldn't stop eating the dish. They sure didn't call it "Ginger Lover" for no reason.
