I've eaten here a few times and loved it! The food is great and the employees are always so nice! I have also ordered delivery and had a great experience! Really good food.. slow delivery. We've ordered here many times and keep ordering because we enjoy the food. We ordered on Valentines Day which I am sure is a busy day, but order delivery time estimate said 7:15 and we got it 45 minutes later than that around 8PM. If that was the time estimate when I was looking to order i wouldn't have ordered because I have an elderly mom I was ordering dinner for, who needs to eat by a certain time. I do understand it's busier on holidays but I just wish the order delivery estimate would've been more accurate. That maybe a problem on Yelp verses this establishment though. I'm not sure. Ordered the chicken Pad Thai Lunch Special which was tasty! The portion size for Lunch was of abundance. I ate half for lunch and the remainder for dinner. Next time I'll be sure to request light salad dressing as the salad was swimming in the dressing in my opinion....but I can also eat salad without dressing so it may be fine for your preference! I would give 4.5 if I could. Only con is sometimes the place is not the cleanest, but again it's sort of a hole in the wall. Otherwise staff is extremely friendly and we go with our toddler and they are always great with him and very aware of his needs. Food is amazing, great taste, definitely has that homemade touch to it all! I've tried many Thai places and this is definitely one of the best ones I've tried, I'm so lucky it's walking distance from my house! They have a large selection on the menu and have something for everyone in your party. I highly recommend the pineapple curry. The only consolation is that the eggplant dish was good and they carried brown rice. The food is usually good. I was very disappointed. The prices are not in line with the product served. This was our go to Thai place for the past five years. I think tonight was our last time ordering from them. They have messed up our order or been 20+ minutes late the last five or six times we have ordered from there. When our food still hadn't arrived 15 minutes after the promised delivery time, I called to check on our order. I was told it would be at least a other 20 minutes. I wasn't rude, but stated I wished they had contacted me to let me know they were running that far behind and explained that I had to feed my kids before putting them to bed and that I had ordered my food fully an hour and 10 minutes prior to the phone call. The man who answered the phone snapped at me that they are short staffed and stated that I just needed to be patient. I get things happen, but delivering food a full half hour after the promised time with no follow up is crappy customer service. I like their food, but I've had enough of late deliveries, incorrect orders, and bad attitudes. Time to find a new Thai place. read more

Two part review First: I wanted to comment on yelp user SimSisters s's review: Wow I can't believe that "SimSisters s" gave "Thai T" a bad review because of their so called stinginess. Seriously, Thai T is the only place that I have ever been to that gives you unlimited refills on Thai iced tea. To call them stingy because they would not give your whole party free drinks on a 1 per group coupon. Come on "SimSisters s" you were being pretty shady trying to split up your order last minute to get 4 free drinks. Also, they even threw in a second free Thai iced tea and you still gave them a bad review. That's pretty low.. Second: Thai T is awesome, the food here has always kept me coming back. They may not be as fancy as some of the other restaurants when it comes to decor, but the food is always great with generous portions at an affordable price. First time I came here was about 3 months ago. I was craving Thai food so I decided to grab some to-go from Thai T after work. It has great reviews on yelp and it's a block from my house....sounded like a win-win situation. The person who took my order was nice, and that's where the positive ends. It took a long time for them to bring out my order, which was the BBQ chicken lunch special ($6.99) which comes with rice, salad & fried wontons. I was okay with it taking time because I thought they're making it to order so it'll be nice and fresh, so I didn't mind waiting. Once I got home I opened the box, what do I see? Half the food in it was burnt. The fried wontons and BBQ were both overcooked to the point of not being edible. I literally could not tear or cut the chicken with a steak knife. The only tolerable items in my lunch special was the salad (which was the typical salad. Lettuce and dressing...I would hope they can't mess that up) and the rice. Then a few days ago I had a mean craving for some pad see ew and didn't feel like driving the distance to my usual Thai places, so I decided to give them another chance. Every place has an off day, right? I ordered the pad see ew with chicken ($7.99) and the broccoli & chicken in oyster sauce dinner special (8.99) which comes with shrimp fried rice, salad & fried wontons. The broccoli & chicken was ok. the oyster sauce was basically water with salt. The "shrimp" fried rice was bland and not really shrimp fried rice, just fried rice with 2 small cooked shrimp placed on top. Now on to the main reason for the second visit. I've never met a dish of pad see ew I didn't like until I had it here. The noodles were mashed together in a big gummy clump, there was HUGE pieces of undercooked broccoli in it, and again...there was no flavor. How can this be? This is the latest Thai restaurant in our area, situated in the OSH Plaza right next to what used to be the Rancho Cucamonga Fruit Company. Frankly, I wasn't impressed with the food. Although it's very nice inside and the wait staff is great, but the food just wasn't there for me. I ordered crab fried rice and yellow curry with chicken, which should have been safe bet and a no-brainer order. The crab fried had an overly fishy smell to it (especially compared to the crab fried rice at Thai Satay BBQ), and they were heavy-handed with the coconut milk in my yellow curry. I just remember not feeling so fresh after I ate my dinner. This could all be attributed to the fact that the place was still working out the kinks, being brand new and all, or maybe I just ordered wrong. I don't know, but there was something left to be desired. I have 2 friends that just swear by this place, so maybe I'm just a statistical outlier. Maybe in a few more months I'll have forgotten the nausea induced by my first visit and give them a second shot. **Update - 1/12/07** Okay, I'm going to eat a little crow here and upgrade my review from 2 stars up to 4 stars. After some negotiation, I came back here last night to have some dinner with my buddy, Suresh, who gave this place a 5 star review. Unlike my previous dining experience here, which I got my food to-go, I listened to Suresh and got one of the many dinner specials that they offer. I opted for chicken pad thai and thai iced coffee. The dinner specials seem to be the way to go, because you get one entree, shrimp fried rice (or more accurately described as fried rice with 2 pieces of shrimp), soup, and 2 wantons. In a nutshell, here's how things played out. The pad thai was excellent, probably some of the best that I've had. The rice was good, nothing outstanding. The soup was bland and devoid of flavor (I couldn't identify the base flavor, but I did recognize some pieces of what looked like celery. I didn't eat the wantons, since they didn't look like anything more that 2 flat wanton skins deep fried, with no stuffing. I would give this place a solid 3 stars, but the fact that when you get thai iced tea or coffee, you get unlimited refills, that my friends, is definitely worth the price of admission and they got an extra star for that!! read more

For the amount that you pay, you don't get enough. I ordered the dinner special Pad Thai Noodles with Beef. I only saw 4 pieces of beef on my plate. AND it doesn't taste that great. The noodles were over cooked. Soggy. Limp. My husband ordered the dinner special Chicken Curry with basil, and he only saw 4 pieces of chicken in his bowl. The sauce was really good. I wish he had more meat to share with me. The salad that comes with the dinner special is mayo!!! Mayo with sugar. The presentation of the dishes was very creative. The service was very kind. I came for dinner with my bestie. This place has been around for a long time as we used to go in high school when this was really the only Thai spot in town. I haven't been in years, but we were looking for a spot open and close by. We ended up sharing for three things - Tom kha kai was on point. The balance of the flavors were good and they were really generous with the portion of meat and mushrooms in it. Pad kee mao was a decent rendition. Good flavor and cooked well. Thai T fried rice was made pretty well. Portions were generous so the family portions we ordered will definitely be able to feed more than just the two of us. In terms of spice level, it's on a conservative scale and not on a "Thai people spicy". The friendly service is a definite plus. The server was super sweet and checked on us often. It may not be my favorite Thai place, but it is a solid spot. Definitely good value in portions and they have lunch AND dinner specials. It's also rare that a place refills your thai tea or coffee. Rancho Cucamonga finally has a good Thai place. After trying many other Thai restaurants in the area, I decided to try out Thai T after reading some of the excellent Yelp reviews. I'm happy to say that it definitely doesn't disappoint. First and most visible, the service at Thai T is impeccable. Sure, we may have just gone on a fairly slow night, but I was impressed over and over again at how well the servers took care of us. They all had friendly smiles and ran to fill our water and Thai Iced Tea glasses the second they were inching towards empty. Talk about being on your A game. The food was really good too. Best Thai food ever? Nah. But it was definitely the best I've had in Rancho Cucamonga area -- even better than Mix Bowl in Pomona (which was my old favorite). They give very hearty portions at very decent prices, especially those huge dinner combos. I ordered the yellow chicken curry, which was good but I wish they had added more spice and coconut flavor to the dish -- it was missing a bit of that potent, tangy kick that I love in Thai curry. It came with a mound of rice that was molded into a shape of a teddy bear (with raisins as the eyes). The hubby and I can't get enough of this place. We always order the pad Thai with tofu. Ask for extra sauce in it because I think it tends to be on the dry side when I don't. It's delicious. I've gotten different salads and they've all been good. The red curry is also good. I will keep trying different things from the menu because I just want to taste everything they have. Great neighborhood find!! The service is friendly and fast, the place looks great and clean, and they have a very cool weekday special. Buy one beer and get the next free (2for1beer). Nice! The Tom Yan soup is spicy and lemony, the curries are spicy and sweet, the noodles on the Pad See Uoo are nice and chewy. All plates are traditional but with great flavor and fresh Ingredients. This is the best Thai food in the Inland Empire! I love everything about this place. The waitresses are very sweet and they always keep your drink filled, that's especially handy when you are enjoying a spicy entree. You can also sit anywhere you want. It's all about the simple pleasures for me. I love the handmade menu's; they make me want to go home and scrapbook. All of that is good, but let's talk about the most important part. The food. It is awesome. Everything I have had there is great. I love the Pad Kee Mao, the spicy and savory noodles, are always perfect. All of the curries are delicious and fragrant, exactly how curries should be. They even mold the rice into whimsical shapes for you (I've seen a bear, a heart, a and a star.) So much dinner fun! My parents are over 60 and sometimes they can't decide what they want so when a waitress gets impatient at my parents when they order, it really pisses me off. They don't need to be throwing attitude at my dad for not knowing what he wants in his fried rice. Service... crappy. I liked the food here. LIKED is the key word. My wife had the pad thai dinner special, which is a good deal for $8.99 since it includes 2 friend "won tons" (in quotations because it's really just wonton skins with no meat), shrimp fried rice & a soup along with your entree of choice. The pad thai isn't as good as it used to be. Where did the previous chef go? Bob C & James S had told me that their most recent visit was also disappointing in that their style of cooking had changed. The pad thai is basically the noodles but they used some sort of indonesian sweet soy sauce instead of the usual pad thai flavor. Blech. My mom's pad see ew was nothing to write home about either. Here comes the worst part. My wife didn't finish her pad thai and the fried rice so they packed it up for us. When my wife peeked into her togo box, she noticed that the fried rice she didn't eat wasn't in the box. So she asked the waitress about it and she said that they would pack whatever was on the plate. We had to show her that they didn't pack the fried rice for us. Come on, dude... why would they think we didn't want it? It would always be better to pack everything on the plate than to pack less than what the customer wants.
