Thai Table and Kitchen is one of those hidden gems that's easy to walk right past--but trust me, you don't want to. The food here is absolutely fantastic. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, which came with a spring roll and ginger salad, both a nice bonus and really tasty on their own. For dessert, I had the mango sticky rice, and every bite was so good I was reluctant to share with my wife. That's how good it was! If I ever come back to Pittsburgh, this will definitely be one of my first stops. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving excellent Thai food.

A true hidden gem with exceptional Thai food! I always pass this place whenever I am at Children's and never considered trying it until a friend suggested it. This wasn't American-Thai but as close to the real thing; I am so excited to go back and explore the menu. I had the Tom Kha soup & Massaman curry with brown rice; my friends had pad Thai. Everything slapped! The wait staff came quickly & was very professional.

I got the crispy duck noodle soup (4.5/5) and calamari (4/5). The calamari was different than what I'm used too; it had a bit more breading and chewy squid taste to it but was still good. The soup was really good! There was a lot of duck, which was great, and it all came together well. The free salad and egg roll was also good! Service was good (4/5)! There was just one guy in there serving and doing takeout, so he definitely did good, despite being really busy. The restaurant is really small; there are four to five tables, so I recommend calling ahead to make sure there isn't a wait. The restaurant is well decorated and has a nice environment (4/5)! Overall, it is definitely a solid Thai place (4.5/5)!

What a great Thai restaurant in Bloomfield! It was so cozy inside. The pad see-ew was delicious! It came with a spring roll and a side salad which I thought was great too. Overall a great experience here and would love to come back and try the other vegetarian items on the menu.

This is a great local spot for Thai takeout! They definitely get super busy but our takeout was ready in a reasonable amount of time and we had a larger order. The food was decent and I liked my chicken pad thai. The chicken was a little dry. I definitely need to try other things here at some point. I am sensitive to garlic because of hot girl tummy issues but their pad thai didn't make my stomach hurt so that is a huge pro. They don't use a lot of garlic I guess. The space inside is small but the outside looks like a cute little house.

Great find. This was some of the better Thai food I've found in Pittsburgh in a little while. The space is fairly small -- dwarfed by the children's hospital next door, but the service and overall ordering experience was good. We ordered takeout online, and everything was extremely well packaged for the drive home. In terms of the food, everything was bright and flavorful, but some items needed a condiment or two to really raise them up a level. We ordered a spiciness level of 4 on most items (on a zero to 6 scale), and that was a pretty good level. The tom yum soup was flavorful, but was even better with a squeeze of lime. The green papaya salad (som tum) was fresh and well incorporated with plenty of flavor. The summer roll (fresh roll) comes with both shrimp and chicken by default, but we opted to skip the chicken. The rolls were fine but not really our best experience with fresh rolls. They seemed a little heavy on iceberg lettuce and the sauce wasn't able to make up for the sparse flavor. The param peanut was a really nice option that we don't see in too many places, and the flavors and presentation were really well done. The stir-frys and curries were great, with plenty of vegetable forward options. All told, this is an excellent Thai destination. It's not fancy and probably isn't an ideal dine-in destination, but it was a great experience for takeout. Seems like the kind of operation that I like to support.

I stopped by here a couple of Fridays ago with my wife for takeout. We were unfortunately right next door at Children's Hospital whenever it was dinner time. While my toddlers got something there, my wife and I were without food and fired up Yelp. Thai Table & Kitchen came up with great reviews and it was close by as well so we placed our order through Yelp. The order was confirmed and ready within 20 minutes. It was located just across 44th St from the hospital which was fantastic for me as it had started to downpour. Pickup was a breeze as they have an area inside the restaurant for to go orders and so I barely saw the restaurant and interacted with no one. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the drunken noodles with chicken while my wife went with the pad see-ew with chicken. The menu described my meal as Stir-fried flat rice noodle in chili paste sauce, basil leaves, bamboo, and bell peppers and my wife's as Stir-fried flat rice noodle with egg, carrots, broccoli then topped with crispy garlic and scallion. Both of our meals also came with a spring roll and then our meal came with some chili crisps which I loved. My meal here ended up being good. I liked the flavor of the noodles with the basil leaves and there was a decent amount of chicken in it as well. If I am being honest, I probably put too much chili crisp on my meal and so it was harder to pick up any more nuanced flavor, but I still enjoyed it. My wife also enjoyed her meal but thought it was a bit spicy even if she ordered a spice level 1. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our meals and while you never want to have to eat while at children's, this location is perfect for it.

This is my third time getting scallops in my meal and the second time being disappointed but I'll focus on today. I placed an order for drunken noodle with shrimp and paid extra for scallops they gave me 1 1/2 scallop and I paid $4 extra and 5 shrimp with ton loaf of noodles I was a very faithful customer bring I work very close but I don't like to be cheated out my money this is very disappointing I have added photos as well

Very nice staff and solid service for my first experience here. Enjoyed the panang curry with chicken. Also had the drunken noodles that were fine but pork was a bit dry the dish lacked sauce. Buddy said the same about his chicken in the pad Thai so could be a trend with proteins not in sauce (it was pounded out super thin). Additionally had the squid Tom kha. The soup itself was flavorful but it lacked heat and the squid leaned chewy. While flavorful, my pet peeve is the spice level. 1-5 and ordered 5. Mild at best. The chili oil at my table was 90 percent chili flakes into little tiny congealed chunks as though the oil was poured out in its entirety. Noodlehead is too close for a cheaper price point to make a priority.

One of my all time favorite thai restaurants in Pittsburgh! The service alone is wonderful and the workers alone are so kind and helpful. The crab rangoons are so special and very few places in Pittsburgh compare. My roommates and I are obsessed with the pad see ew and the pad thai. It always hits!

It's a hole in the wall right eh t to Children's with about 15 seats and beyond worth it The waiter/owner is so friendly and if you go on a date/with SO he'll shape your rice plate into a heart The prices are so good, and it's BY FAR the best Thai I've had in the city. We stumbled onto this place and WOW...what an incredible meal. This tiny gem of a restaurant has a wonderful menu of Thai favorites and a wide selection of appetizers, curries, soups, noodle dishes, rice dishes, and even desserts! We ordered a variety of items since we hadn't eaten all day. For starters we tried the ginger salad, Thai spring rolls, and vegetable Tom Kha. The spring rolls were the highlight for us. Texturally they were perfection and the dipping sauce was spicy, sweet, light, and fresh. Heart shaped dishes of rice soon arrived at our table followed quickly by massaman curry and chicken praram. The Massaman chicken curry was rich and the perfect mixture of spicy and coconut sweetness. The sweet potato and carrot chunks were expertly cooked and the curry sauce was good enough to drink a large mug of all on its own. The chicken Praram upon my first taste made my face light up. I love variations of this dish called Bathing or Swimming Rama made elsewhere usually with spinach. This version is with broccoli. The broccoli was steamed perfectly and the peanut sauce was delicious. The peanuts on top provided the perfect crunch. To end the meal I couldn't resist ordering the pumpkin custard with sticky rice. It was served warm, a square of custard nested next to an equal square of sticky rice all dusted with black and white sesame seeds. The pumpkin was delicate and subtle, simply perfect paired with the sticky rice floating in a bit of sweet cream. The sesame seeds added a slight crunch to the finish which was very much enjoyed. On top of everything else, we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night. Our server was extremely gracious and pleasant to talk with. Give this place a try and tip your server well!!

Aesthetic: 3.5/5 Stars Simple tradition Thai paintings mounted on the brick wall, small orange pillows for booths and nice traditional Thai instrumental and vocal music played in the background. Service: 4.5/5 Stars Our waiter was friendly and understanding of our confusion, some things he said was confusing but overall the service was delightful. Food: 4/5 Stars Not the finest Thai food in the area but good nonetheless. I ordered Pad See Ew and Springrolls, the springrolls came with an extra spring roll and salad for each of our group members, I am not aware if this was courtesy or the waiter being nice. The salad was topped with orange garlic dressing and was in a 1 serving bowl. The spring rolls were on par and sauce as well. The Pad See Ew's tofu was excellent and the rest was great as well. Overall: Other Thai locations do best this but it does not disapprove you. I will most likely come again next month or in two. 4 stars is well deserved! Got a craving for Thai food? Thai Table & Kitchen hits the spot! We stopped in this little nook for the first time and had a delicious experience. Only thing is -- front of house is being run by two teenagers and service was so.... slow.... I recommend the food, but don't recommend dining in. read more

This quaint Thai shop is adorable! The food is very reasonably priced with large portions. They were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The thing that really blew me away was the service. The gentleman at the counter was very personable and struck up a conversation with me while I waited for my food. He complimented my outfit and even brought me a free chai! Overall I'd say between the customer service and the quality and quantity of food I'd say this is a must buy if you're in the mood for Thai!! read more

Everything is so fresh and delicious! Restaurant is cozy and so very clean. Service is great and fast! Had to be at Children's hospital and was surprised to find this gem right next door. I ordered the Penang Curry, it was excellent and the portion was quite generous. The Thai iced tea was perfect. I had never had Thai donuts, I thought I would try them and was pleasingly surprised. I like food spicy but not overly, I ordered a "3" it was not spicy enough for me, however they offer additional spice. When I added the spice I got the heat I was looking for, next time I'll order a "4" read more

We love Thai food, and don't have any Thai restaurants where we currentLy live, so I was excited to find a Thai place near our hotel to try out. Unfortunately, we weren't wowed with the food. We tried peanut satay (chicken overcooked and dry), pork wontons (ok), basil chicken (tasted basil-ish but couldn't find the basil), spring rolls (good). Overall , dishes was too lightly flavored. On the positive side, they did start us off with a salad/egg roll starter gratis, and the portions were quite large. Hopefully, just caught the chef on an off day. read more

We're at Children's Hospital fairly often for our youngest son and Thai Table has been my favorite spot to order takeout from. The ingredients are fresh, the food is always amazing, and the service is wonderful. Not only is this restaurant steps away from the hospital lobby, their staff is kind and generous. Tonight, I ordered 15 minutes before closing after a hard hospital day and when I walked in, they offered a complimentary organic iced tea and had my order hot and ready. We chatted a little bit and they said that they often accept orders after hours because they know that it's sometime hard for parents to eat at normal business hours when their child is sick - which is absolutely true. So I wanted to leave a review so that others know how wonderful this place is! My favorite thing on the menu is their street noodles (seriously, order them. I don't know what the sauce is on this dish but I want to put it on everything) but my standard "sick of hospital food" order is their Tom Yum soup and a large ginger salad. It's so comforting and refreshing! read more

I just moved here from LA and was worried I left all the good food behind. Nope! You guys need to get the Pad Thai. It's really delicious. It's actually better than a lot of the Pad Thai dishes I've had out there. Coming from being a fine dining cook at the Jean Georges kitchen in Beverly Hills, this is good stuff. Will order again! Very good! We usually go for Nicky's or SBL but this was right up there and will be in the regular rotation. Fast, hot delivery of food. Even the rangoons were still hot and crispy (fried food normally doesn't deliver well, getting soggy). We loved the Thai Street Noodles, Crispy Duck Curry, rangoons, Chicken satay (so good!), And dumplings. read more

Decided to go with something new tonight and I'm so glad we did! We shared the Thai appetizer sampler to start which was the perfect variety. For entrees we got the pad see ew with chicken and the Thai Table and Kitchen noodle (spicy levels 3). All the food was so tasty and well made. The waitress was also sooo sweet and made us feel special with a free dessert of Thai donuts (which are also a must have). Will be going back! read more

Unbelievable food... having been fortunate enough to visit Thailand I can tell you the food here is legit. Our server was kind, attentive and the food was phenomenal. We had crab Rangoon, soup, pad see eew (best I've had ever outside of Thailand) and an amazing pineapple curry. Will definitely be back! read more

Went today for a graduation lunch with a large group. The service was OUTSTANDING- they couldn't have been more helpful, attentive and courteous. On top of that each and every dish was perfect. I had the pad Thai which was so flavorful, and we ordered many of their other dishes as well and everyone left full and thrilled that we found this small gem of a Thai restaurant!!! read more

I called to ask if they could make Pad Kee Mao, since I didn't see it on the menu, and they told me no. I didn't know that Kee Mao is also called "drunken noodles", which is on their menu. Apparently they didn't know either. so I ordered the drunken noodles, and they were incredibly disappointing, the noodles were complete mush, so either way ove-cooked or maybe they're old? The veggies in the dish were fresh and cooked well, but in a dish that's 90% noodles, you want the noodles to actually taste good. I'd also ordered the Tom yum soup, which I've had many times in my life. Their Tom Yum was so absolutely disgusting that I threw it away. It tasted fishy as hell. Maybe it's made using fish sauce, idk, but I've never ever had Tom Yum that tasted fishy! I couldn't even recognize it as Tom Yum. The only part of my order that didn't suck was the mango and sticky rice desert. Credit where it's due, it was really good. But I'll never order any other food from there again, and unless you're desperate for the mango sticky rice, I don't recommend. read more

They really milk every cent from you: if you don't buy food, you have to pay $10; if you split a dish, there's an upcharge; you must spend a minimum of $10; and a 22% gratuity is automatically added, regardless of party size. That being said, the service was actually terrible. I had 3 different waiters because none of them wanted to work, and the food came out at least 30 minutes late. The food is average, with smaller portions, and it is incredibly expensive. There's definitely better thai in the city! The one thing that they have going for them is the ambiance. It is a pretty vibe.

We set off to go to the Asian place at the bottom of Stanton Ave but they only have take-out and we wanted to eat in. I haven't had Thai for a while and knowing my buddy is one of the few people I know who loves it, off we walked. This is a small restaurant built into a house. There are only a few tables inside but everything was brightly lit, scrupulously clean, and very comfortable. Davie (according to our receipt) waited on us. She was great -- she greeted us, served us, checked on us, brought our bills. My buddy had Pineapple noodles which he enjoyed. He offered me some and they were delicious. I got a red curry with chicken, level 3 (of 5). Just look at the heart-shaped rice !! I loved it. The bowl of curry didn't appear very large but was quite deep and filled with vegetables and chicken. I don't think it was very spicy and I probably would have preferred 5 of 5 but the flavor and texture of the food was spot on. Yum. There was also a small ginger salad and spring roll that Davie brought out before our entrees. The salad didn't look like much but was amazing. The lettuce was crisp and fresh and the dressing was unique (in a ~very~ tasty way) and refreshing. Although the small dining room was nearly full when we left, it seemed very quiet inside.
