Annoying, BUT!!! we were starving and .3 miles away was Thai Taste and annoyance quickly became heaven! One of the best Thai Boat Noodles I've ever had. Lots of flavor and theynare very generous with the noodles and meatballs (most just give you 2 meatballs, pathetic really). Orange Chicken, not too sweet or saucy and stays crispy. Since the eat in was so delicious we ordered the Eggs and ground chicken over rice to go. I took a bite and it instantly took me back to my childhood in Thailand. Our favorite Thai spot. We always get the silver noodle soup, it's subtle, the perfect sickness cure, loaded with veggies and some chicken. Our favorite pad thai, saucier than most, crisp cabbage/carrot/bean spouts add the perfect cold texture, we go for tofu normally, it's good. Outside of those two, pretty much anything on the menu is tasty and consistent, we've had most of it. Eating in will of course be the best experience, but it holds up pretty well when we've picked up. Their chicken wontons are filled with chicken and not just a pinch you can actually taste it. Today our Tom yum soup (no tomato) order was loaded with tomato and the waitress never came back to offer refills or check in on us. But the main reason for not coming back after this last visit is because they added 18% gratuity to our bill on a party of 4. The food is fantastic, the couple who runs it is so sweet, and it's super conveniently located if you're a Silverlake dweller who doesn't want to waste time finding parking in Thai town.
