The "Fillet ahhhh fish Roll" ($15.50) has deep fried white fish topped with a ton of tempura crumbs and a dash of eel sauce. By my description, it may not surprise you that I think it had too many tempura crumbs and not enough eel sauce. So my only critique of the roll would be that. I also tried their Chicken Karage Curry bowl ($14.95) which was simple and comforting with a nice curry sauce and carrots as the accompaniment. I really didn't like this place. Ugh so mad at myself I spent $100 for delivery. The rolls were falling apart before I even touched them. There was no flavor. Normally I can taste the yellowtail. The worst was the Filet Ahhh Fish Roll. It was so dry. If there was eel sauce, they forgot to put it on. It was buy one get one free, so I took a chance. Karaage was dessicated, dried to a crisp. The other frustrating thing (which I was warned in advance from the menu) is that a majority of the rolls are 5 pieces (and again, they are not tightly wrapped!) so it's difficult for sharing. I've only ever ordered delivery from this place but it's been great salmon sashimi every time. I love how thick and generous the slices. It really feels like it's worth the money. And it is one of the places that comes with the shredded daikon. (I know that's pretty basic but I mention it since not all places include it) The fish is always delicious and fresh tasting My only small gripe is that they automatically send only low sodium soy sauce packets. Even if you request differently in the "additional notes" section for delivery. This should really be something where you have the option to choose on the menu screen. We should be able to choose full salt if we want to. Even the restaurant has small space, but their fishes are big! My definition of the word big is variety of fishes, creativity, quality, taste and service. Ordered a dinner combination and a scallop roll via a delivery service. The fish to rice ratio on the nigiri portions was good and it's very nice that they let you substitute different types of fish for the ones you don't like as much. Everything except the scallop roll tasted very fresh. Scallops weren't bad or anything, but were vaguely fishy. Might have been mixed less recently and really heavy on the mayo. Wouldn't order that roll again. Main issue--and I've never had this happen at a sushi bar--was that whoever prepared it either hadn't been trained to cut fish properly or had started on the sake way too early. Some portions were fine but some were sliced with the grain in such a way that the fish was chewy to the extent you couldn't bite a nigiri in half. How nigiri is cut makes such a difference in how it tastes. The scallop roll was cut so irregularly it was almost funny. Also, the sushi rice was strange-not sure if it was al dente, had been sitting too long or just wasn't pressed right? Maybe because it was late on a Sunday (my bad for craving sushi on a Sunday) someone less trained prepared the meal or was just in a huge hurry. But I probably wouldn't order takeout from here again. Would give it another try in person on a different day of the week perhaps. Their spicy tuna mixture was beautifully seasoned and delicious.
