I've been wanting to visit this place (since i've already been to the one near the VCU campus) and turns out they are actually owned by different people. Ambiance: It has the vibes of a Thai restaurant, with a slight modern twist (which i'm a fan of)! They have cool grey tiled floors and an underlit bar that changes colors (which is now fully stocked!).The owner said there are still a few things he wants to add that are coming very soon, like more TVs and wall decor. Service: Upon entry, we were greeted by a bubbly waitress who was very friendly and accommodating. I think that's what really set the tone to our positive experience there, which is refreshing to find in a local asian restaurant. We also got our food at lightening speed. Food: I got the beef drunken noodles and my boyfriend got the yellow curry. Let me tell you that I am an avid fan of beef drunken noodles. It's the only thing i get when i eat Thai food and they got it spot on! Thank the lawd. And no, that does not often happen in the richmond area, i usually find it to be more on the bland side and greasy. Mine was extremely savory with a lot of vegetables, basil, and beef added - i was very pleased. My boyfriend said he enjoyed the yellow curry as well. Portions were also great - we both had to take our leftovers in to-go boxes. All in all, I'm really happy that I found a strong go-to Thai restaurant. I'm so excited for the new additions the owner is adding very soon - full bar (officially fully added!), another TV, more decor! But the more important thing is that the food speaks for itself. I give this place 5 stars for their different ambiance, food, and great service. Definitely a place worth stopping by if you're in the area (they also deliver). read more

We traveled from Florida to Virginia for a family reunion and found this great place to eat! We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was just amazing. We had the pad Thai and pho soup and Thai beef salad! The Thai lager was yummy and the Thai orchid was amazing as well. The server Linda was amazing and so attentive to us! This is for sure my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I have ordered here too many times to count and have NEVER had a bad meal/experience. They always get my order correct, the food is always fantastic, the place is always clean and although they are a little on the high side when it comes to their prices I feel that it balances out with their portion size and quality, thus making it a good value. Not sure if they are wearing masks at all times, I guess if you are concerned with that you should just order it "Thai hot " that will definitely kill anything you are worried about lol read more

I was so happy to finally see a Thai place open in my area about a year ago. I've had great dine-in and take-out experiences here since, with a rather large menu full of your typical Thai dishes as well as some not-so-traditional items. This time, I ordered the pad see ew with chicken. It was delicious and everything I look for in a pad see ew, especially since it came with Chinese broccoli (I've only seen a few places that do this). My only complaint is that I ordered medium spicy, and it felt hotter than usual. My boyfriend had the same issue; he had the kha prow moo sab mix moo krob, which is an amazing dish (I've had it before and highly recommend!), but he ordered American hot and said it was even spicier than other places' Thai hot. The spice level is just a minor issue, as it wouldn't deter me from coming again. But I am docking a star for slow service. They are always super nice, but they seemed to be short-staffed every time I've come. With the restaurant almost full, there was only one server on the floor running around, and you could tell she was pretty stressed. We waited quite some time before our orders were taken and were there for almost an hour before our food arrived. Regardless, we walked away satisfied with leftovers in hand. Overall, I would definitely recommend Thai Top Ten! Just not if you're expecting anything quick. read more

Food was delicious! I ordered the calamari which needed a little more flavor in my opinion but the sweet and sour sauce helped. The food was good and the staff were awesome. Everything tasted fresh like it was made to order especially the fried spring rolls. They have a few dishes on the menu that you won't typically see. My only complaint is the plating/presentation. My curry dish, which was delicious, came served on a plate with a side of rice in it. I typically like my rice and curry separated so I can control the ratio but that's a personal preference I will remember to ask next time I go back. Serendipity can be defined as finding happiness where you'd least expect it. Tonight, I found happiness with an item on the menu that I've looked over more than a dozen times. I've had the spring rolls and they're great. I've had the fried rice and it's some of the best around. I've had the Pad Thai and I enjoyed that thoroughly. I've also tried the curry and it was amazing! Tonight I tried the Chicken Pho and OMG!!! Actually let me write that out OH MY GOD!!!!! I've had pho before that I've enjoyed from other places around town but this pho caught me by surprise! The broth was rich and full of flavor. The noodles were fresh. The limes simply added another depth to the flavor. The hoisin sauce took the flavor over the top and the sriracha added that note of heat that would've been otherwise missed. I never know that I could get pho this close to home for such a great price; $8.95. I can wait to go back!! I may never order anything else on the menu again. read more

The food here is fantastic, however the service leaves something to be desired. I work in the area and have been twice for lunch. Unfortunately both times the service was so slow that I was late getting back to work. I had to ask the waitress for the check, both times. Because the food was SO good (especially the Panang Curry), I'm sure I'll be back, but am considering either take out or calling in my order before I leave the office. It's hard to find really good Thai food, so I hope they stick around for a long time, and I also hope they understand that those of us that are on work lunch, only have a limited amount of time. read more

I stopped in for lunch today and ordered the Bangkok squid (American heat) with a Kentucky vanilla creme ale. Boy was this delicious! My meal came with a side of steamed rice, broccoli and snow peas with carrots and peppers. The squid was breaded, which I wasn't expecting. The breading was a perfect golden brown that packed a punch of chili sauce flavor and had the perfect crunch when I took a bite. The squid was delightful. I tried a beer that I wouldn't normally try. It started sweet but ended in a cider taste. But, it paired well with my food and managed to tame the spice levels on my pallet. I came here with some girlfriends and we decided to sit at the bar. The bar itself is so PRETTY! It's black with sparkles. We loved it. It was a girls night so we ordered a few glasses of wine all of which were very fair BTG prices (most $6). Maybe not the most interesting or high quality wines but for a night like this it was kind of perfect. We ordered the dumplings and spring rolls to start. Both were really good but the spring rolls were my fave. I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken and veggies and medium spice. It was great. The spice was a true medium so if you typically order medium and find it not hot enough... this is probably the medium you are expecting/wanting. I decided to go with the Stone IPA which is brewed in Richmond. It was particularly good and fresh. We started with a fresh roll with shrimp that was excellent. First time dining in and we look forward to many more to try other dishes! We didn't know this opened up last year but now that we've been here, we're glad to have found it. Ordered the appetizer for 2 for my friend food craving. Hehe, it did the job and I always love the Thai chili sauce to dip. I ordered tofu and veggie pho and it was incredibly delicious. Dry flavorful broth, the tofu was lightly fried which meant it was quite tasty and the veggies in the soup were fresh and delicious. And there was plenty to take home so it was well priced for the amount you get. My husband ordered the large hot pot of Tom Kha soup and the coconut broth was delicious. One of the best Pad Thai I have had in the RVA area is the one I ate at Thai Top Ten. Please, do not let the appearance of this place fool you (actually, it does not look like a fancy restaurant, neither a Thai place). However, the food tastes awesome, for sure one of the biggest amount of food I ever receive for $11 and great proportions. On top of the Pad Thai, we order the crab cake appetizer which was good (not as great as the entrees), specially the sauce it came with. For sure that we will be back anytime soon. read more

Service was not good at all. Waiter was too busy talking to her coworkers about going to a party than to worry about whether we liked our food. The food on my plate had not been touched and she never once asked did I like the food, only did I want a box. OBVIOUSLY I didn't like the food if I didn't eat it, and I wouldn't come to a restaurant if I wasn't hungry so I guess she was too busy trying to finish her conversation with her coworkers than to put two and two together. We came here because of the positive comments from other reviewers who were also making the drive from NYC, and it really was delicious! We ordered the papaya salad medium spicy and it was impressively hot. This is my favorite Thai dish and theirs was excellent, We also had the pad Thai at mild, and it was good, but I would order it medium next time because the mild had no spice at all. I recently relocated to RVA and this establishment has been a go to very often. The location is convenient, the food is great and the staff is usually pleasant. However, that was not my experience during my visit today. Typically, I'm using stopping by after leaving work, dressed in business attire. Today, I went extremely casual as it was my day off. I walked up to the bar to place my order Togo. The young lady told me she was going to take a table's order then return and take mines. That was totally acceptable for me. What was not acceptable was for her to return to the bar, grab a pitcher of water and go to another table and refill glasses and converse with the individuals seated at the table. She return after she finished her conversation only to answer the phone and take a Togo order while I was still standing at the bar waiting. Not one time did she acknowledge my presence after the initial time that I came in. The customer service I received today is not what I am accustomed to. As a result, I will no longer patronize this establishment. read more

Here in glen allen to visit kings dominion. We love Thai food and had a friend with us that is still new to Thai food. Picked here because of positive yelp reviews. The tom kha soup was really good. We loved our salads but our friend was not a fan of her curry. The waiter/owner insisted she choose another entree at no charge even though we offered to pay for it twice.
