THIS PLACE IS GREAT! This is a family owned restaurant and you can tell by the sense of pride they take in the food they serve. The food is great, and the servers (usually the owner or her daughter) ask great questions to make sure you order what you want. There always seems to be a steady stream of people picking up orders, and the tables are often full too. It's in a little strip mall that is quite deceiving. Once you're inside it's a quaint place that is quite enjoyable. This is some great Thai food. We've ordered different curries, pad thai, and some other goodies. We've also gotten some appetizers as well which are always great too. I've never left disappointed. read more

Great customer care and service. I've been here about 8 times in last few months , tonight I was on my way home from work, got to the area about 8:50. I called thinking oh crap they close at 9 and I need to order to go. The owners son answered and instead of being impatient or making it clear the kitchen was closing, he said don't worry I'll keep the kitchen open for you. I was elated. I didn't know what I wanted so I was able to get to the restaurant, look at the menu, and order what looked good. Food was delivered to me at their bar, which by the way has multiple TV'S for sports and a 1/2 dozen poker machines. Food was spot on and the beers were cold. If you like Thal or you are looking for a local spot for the games, this is a great choice. We've been looking for a great thai place close to home forever. We were planning on taking our 2 yr old to Jurin to watch the chefs cook and we couldn't wait 45 min with a two year old and six week old. So we took a chance on thai town and so happy we did. It was excellent from food to service. They brought a fun water glass out for a daughter, a special plate fork and knife with heart shaped rice and a frozen candy bracelet. The food was obviously not fresh. It was dry and sticky, like it was reheated. I loved the Pad Thai from the original named restaurant, this was not the same at all, it lacked flavor, dry - hardly any sauce, and it was sticky. I had high hopes based on the original restaurant, on Randall Rd. A complete waste of money. We paid ~ $42 for two entrees, one fried rice, and an appetizer. I only gave it one star, because the review process requires at least one. I personal DO NOT recommend this place. I will not be going back. read more

The food is very good. Love the chicken pad thai. However, the restaurant smells bad. So, we typically pick our food up.

All the dishes I have tried have been well-prepared. The portions seem small compared to other Thai places. If you are a lover of eating rice with your meal, you need to know that the amount of rice provided is modest and if you order extra, they will charge you and you will still only get an equally small additional dish of rice. I can't take my husband here to eat or it will cost a fair bit to have them bring out several additional dishes of rice. They charge you for each extra order. I've not had this problem in other Thai restaurants. read more

Went there for lunch today and was really impressed on how unique it was. The restaurant is in a separate room of a night club. Lots of detail to decor, cleanliness and presentation. Hubby ordered off the lunch menu Pad Thai and enjoyed it. We both liked the soup and crab Rangoon appetizer that came with the meal. The only disappointment for me was my entree. There really were not many lunch items that did not include green peppers or were flagged as hot so I ordered one of my favorite dishes which is pad siew (sic) off the regular menu. I asked if they fried the tofu and they do but offered not to fry it for me. My tofu was ice cold. I think it could have at least been heated but not fried. Plus, it did not have the traditional flavor that pad siew does. It was very salty, loads of soy sauce is my guess and it had to be made with jar garlic instead of fresh. Every time I got a piece of it in my mouth it was so bitter that it was unpleasant. Maybe we will try it again...maybe not... read more

Nice interior, helpful and friendly staff. Just went tonight to order take out and was served tea in the lobby while I waited for my order to complete. I have never been anywhere that does that. Also if you like SPICY like me you will note that most places serve you a lame version of spicy. The spicy pad thai noodles I ordered were HOT! I ordered them 10/10 spicey and was very satisfied with the level of spice, aroma and flavor of the food. I will come back here when I want Thai food! :) read more

WOW!!! Every now and then you find a hidden gem. This place has everything to offer from spectacular food to warm & friendly service. The dining room is really nice --- clean and comfortable. We started with some Thai Ice Tea --- these are a MUST ORDER if you have never had them. Sweet, refreshing, and kind of unusual. For an appetizer, we went straightforward and tried the steamed dumplings. Sounds boring? Give them a try. The dough used to make the dumpling is thinner layer than your typical dumpling. You get 8 or 9 dumplings in a single order and the sauce is fantastic. Not only that, the presentation will exceed any order of dumplings on the planet. Two thumbs up on the dumplings. We then ordered one of the daily specials --- Scallops in Garlic Sauce and an order of the Pad Thai with Chicken. Again, Thai Town's presentation is phenomenal! The flavors were spot-on, the food was hot, and ultimately was DELICIOUS! The ONLY thing I would comment on would be size of portion --- but, we definitely felt satisfied. At the last minute, we decided to order dessert --- Fried Bananas with Coconut Ice Cream with whipped cream & chocolate sauce. This was the PERFECT compliment to an outstanding dining experience. I am a HUGE Thai fan and this place is as good as it gets. The food was amazing and the waiter was pleasant. If you enjoy Thai it's a must and if you are a vegetarian or a fan of any asian cuisine you have to give it a shot. FYI, I think the new Thai town off Randall just South of HWY 20 (Dunkin Donuts side) is from the same owners so I would expect the same quality. read more

We went to Thai Town a few months ago. It was hard to find and I had to call them to find out exactly where they were. We took my 4 yr old son with us and this place wasn't very kid friendly. This review originally was not going to be positive. And not about the food though, the food is outstanding here. About the delivery service. I ordered my food to be delivered and was told it would be about 35 minutes. About an hour later I called to see where my food was. I was told they were having car troubles. I payed with my credit card so I just was going to stick this one out. Another 30 minutes went by and I called again to say that I'm sure our food was cold already and if they could make it again and I'd pick it up. As I'm on the phone the lady arrived with my food so we hung up with each other. The delivery lady was apologetic and very kind when she came to the door. Turned out the owner had to drop off a working car because hers died on Randall. But he also made us fresh food before he left, threw in some egg rolls and gave us 10 bucks cash back. This was more than I was expecting when they lady started to walk toward my door. You can tell they really wanted to keep my business. My only gripe is that they should have called me instead of me calling them to find out where my food is. I'm going to chalk this up as a once in a order time occurrence.
