This is based in togo order. I came here for the first time and it was the server was nice and took my order fast. There are sears outside and a few seats inside. I ordered TOFU VEGETABLE SOUP which was pretty good. And I ordered PAD THAI. This was ok. I think it's missing some flavor. The first couple of bites it tastes ok but lost the flavoring after. This why I have a 4 star.

Supreme vegan Thai food spot with delicious flavor and adorable patio seating in beautiful Santa Monica. Super friendly staff and great pricing with a generously portioned lunch special available for just $15! Can't wait to return!

Take out...chow mein, pad Thai, tofu spring rolls

This is what we call bang for your buck. I ordered pad Thai, chow mein, and tofu spring rolls and the bag was like 6 pounds. HUGE portion sizes for such decent pricing you can't find anywhere else. The flavor of the Pad Thai was a bit lacking. I could tell it was Pad Thai but the flavor could be much stronger. Decent chewiness to the rice noodles. They are a bit wider than the typical noodles I've had with pad thai. The tofu spring rolls were like burritos. They were okay. Loosely wrapped. Mostly vegetables and a bit of soft tofu. The sauce is coconut peanut, I believe. Not sure if I would get it again despite the solid portion. Note for the online ordering system...I ordered for the first time online using Beyond Menu which was what I was linked to via google. I arrived when my order was to be ready and the lady was super confused and proceeded to scroll up on my phone to see what platform I used. She then checked her phone and went "ah! Beyond menu!" and may have pretended to check with the kitchen and said it wasn't ready yet. It didn't seem like they even looked at that online ordering system. So I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes since they didn't even see the online order. So be wary if you order online. I would probably call in the future instead. Overall, this is a solid place for huge portions and budget pricing. Not the best tasting and flavorful food, but good enough and you truly can't beat the price/portion ratio.

I ordered the Pad Thai and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I appreciated all the color from the toppings when it was served, but was disappointed that that was really all the toppings/mix ins (tofu, carrot, cabbage, etc)- it was mainly just tons of noodles. The flavor was present, but lacking. I'd still go back and try another dish since I know this place is well liked, but I wouldn't get the Pad Thai again. Small inside, few outdoor seating options, good price for the quantity of food.

Came here Sunday ready to eat after the Pikmin X Hot Girl Walk and was very taken aback! The pad see ew was AMAZING and the portions are so generous. Couldn't believe I could find this in Santa Monica. I'm going to be making the trek down here more often. It does get quite a bit warm inside the restaurant, but they do have a back portion with great seating to sit down and help cool yourself off.

I've been coming here for well over 10 years and I am finally leaving a review because I finally took a picture of all the yummy food we ate. Whenever we come we always get papaya salad and green curry, must gets!!! and the other dishes we always change around, I do enjoy their pad Thai but I love their spicy mint noodle more! And pineapple friend rice is great. Everything is flavorful and they give you a lot of food. You order at the window and then get a buzzer to pick up your food at the side door when it's ready. their are plenty of tables to sit at in the space and they have a lot of trinkets and stuff for sale around the place.

Finally took the time to grab dinner from here I got the Vegetable Tofu Fried Rice with added chicken tofu and beef tofu and I got to say it was worth the short wait. The rice was very fluffy and moist, loved the vegatables in there, the chicken was buttery, soft like a little pillow, and the beef had this yummy sweet nutmegy flavor. Cute little restaurant and couple two person tables and a bigger dining table further in. The also have outside seating. Great prices and the Thai tea was very good also, definitely got to come back to try their Spicy Fried Rice.

I took my food to go, so I can't say much about the ambiance rather than the place being pretty small/having limited seating and you having to come and get your food once it's ready (you don't have a server bring it to you). Wait time - I went on a Thursday and ordered ahead through grubhub, and still had to wait around 40 minutes to get my food (I didn't have a big order either). I have a feeling they forgot and didn't start working on it until I got their attention and asked about my order. Pad Thai - pretty good, but not outstanding, nothing out of the ordinary. If I went back, I'd probably get something else. Fried Dumplings - by itself, they are pretty bland, but the sauce definitely brings in more flavor. I liked the variety of veggies and vegan meat in filling too.

Delicious and an easy accessible walk with seating. Quick to make.

Delicious! A quick and accessible walk. Very fast and okay outdoor seating. Open area with road parking.

One of the few places I would write home about and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food received. Favorite Yuzu Chashu Duck Ramen, would skip the vanilla yuzu ice cream. Bluefin Tuna Sushi Tacos - fresh and thought the circular seaweed was fun. Well balanced and the seaweed came crisp with the fish fresh. Corn Ribs - glazed corn ribs with crunchy exterior and natural sweet corn interior. Had a lot of umami yet natural sweetness. Garlic Bread & Tuna Tartare - garlic bread was actually garlicky and the tuna tartare was well balanced. Everything was done well. Pork Belly Taco - honestly looked a bit sad coming out but the taste did not disappoint. Extremely tender pork that was melt in your mouth, only wish there was another fresh element to balance. Yuzu Chashu Duck Ramen - honestly might have been my favorite. Ramen is typically pretty heavy for me but I liked the brightness the yuzu brought to the broth and the duck was incredibly tender. Hojicha Creme Brûlée - the brûlée on top was thick and I enjoyed it. My boyfriend didn't love how overdone it was, but I thought it amplified the bitterness of the hojicha in a smoky way. Yuzu Vanilla Ice Cream - from lavender and truffle a vegan ice cream place. I thought the flavor was nice but didn't enjoy the icey texture, would probably skip on this one. Fruit Maru Hi - Japanese seltzer served over frozen fruit that we're supposed to mash but honestly was a bit difficult given I had just the straws. Service was great and all the waiters/waitresses were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to answer all the questions I had.

If you are expecting a "Sushi Omakase", you may be disappointed. After some ChatGPT research I learned that there is such a thing as a "Izakaya Omakase" and Shriube is an izakaya first and sushi restaurant second. Now, if you got this far, here is the cause of this review. One offering was wagu meatballs. They were tasty, not great. What followed immmediately after was wagu curry (with rice). The rub in my mind was the wagu curry had essentially the same flavor as the meatballs and I felt it was just a way for the chef to use up meatballs. Even in an Izakaya first driven Omakase should at least give a customer a variety of tastes, not a repeated one.

It is located right between Coco Ichibanya and 10 speed so I would opt to try to find street parking in the neighborhoods just behind the restaurants or metered parking on the main road -- this can get tricky during peak hours though. You have the option of ordering from a tablet right at the front if you're just planning to do take out! It was relatively empty when we got there so we were seated right away and placed our orders with a QR code. Our server was there by herself around 5:30 but the food was prompt with coming out. Portions were HUGE to be honest for the price relative to what you usually expect these days in the LA. - Popcorn chicken: came out piping hot and freshly fried, nice aroma from the fried basil. Solid spot if you're craving Chinese popcorn chicken - Woodear: surprisingly had a nice spicy kick from the chilies, no complaints! - Beef noodle soup with spicy: only a very subtle mala flavor but broth was beefy, noodles had great texture. Only lacking thing were pieces of beef were kind of small but otherwise I was very satisfied - If you spend over $50 you get a free dish (pork dumpling, xialong bao/soup dumpling, or spicy (saliva) chicken. Opted for the xiaolong bao which was okay... meat was on the leaner side and didn't taste fresh but the skin wasn't super overly thick and a decent amount of soup inside Overall, for the value and standard of Chinese food in the west LA area I would come back if I ever wanted something decent local to me! :)

Parking can be easy on the weekdays if you park in the adjacent neighborhood residential streets (watch for parking restriction signs to avoid getting any tickets). The downside to this place in my opinion is the automated "APP" ordering system using a QR reader menu and online ordering. I'd say it would be more personal to have a human being take orders and engage with customers who may have questions and create a friendly vibe. The staff were helpful and friendly, so that wasn't the problem, it's the lack of opportunity for engagement that I think would make this place a bit more warm and fuzzy feeling in atmosphere.

We were on a girls' weekend in L.A. and spent the day touring my daughter's friend around all the famous landmarks the city has to offer. After driving out to the Santa Monica Pier, we had worked up a serious appetite. A quick Yelp search led us to this ramen restaurant, and we whipped the car around and made a beeline straight for it. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated on the patio. We were hoping for seats near the fire pit, but those are definitely a hot commodity and fill up fast. Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful with menu suggestions. I ordered the Spicy Vegan Creamy Ramen. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I was really impressed with how accommodating they are for meatless diners. They have several vegetarian and vegan choices, and most dishes can be modified for most dietary preferences. Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and beautifully presented. One bite of my ramen and I was instantly in heaven. It was so good that I finished the entire bowl in record time. I would have ordered a second one, but I was completely full. I honestly feel like I could eat this every day of my life and never get tired of it. Our server kept our glasses full and checked on us regularly. The service was top-notch and made a relaxing end to a long day of sightseeing. It truly was an awesome experience. On my second visit, I was in town with my family, and I told them we were not leaving L.A. without eating here first. We came on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty packed. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, and to my surprise, we scored the fire pit seats I had wanted so badly the first time. Sitting next to the fire, feeling the warmth and watching the flames dance in the evening air, made the experience even more special. The second visit was just as great as the first. Great service, a relaxing atmosphere, and incredible food from start to finish. I truly enjoyed every minute of it. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Jinya Ramen Bar. Trust me, it is absolutely worth it.

We were lucky to find a metered parking that already had money in it, yay! There are a bunch of eateries on this street as well. It's a small restaurant inside, but more space outside. Not that busy at all, there were only 2 other parties dining at the same time as us during prime dinner time. I saw they were running a Demon Slayer promotion and I wanted the free spoon haha. So I ordered the Tokyo Yatai Ramen and my friend ordered the Birria Ramen. The waiter or owner(?) who talk our order was also very nice! Very quick and efficient with our order. It didn't take too long for our ramen to be prepared. First glance, it doesn't look like your traditional ramen. It actually looks more Chinese style ramen. Especially the noodles? The texture is not quite the same as traditional ramen shops (and I have been to Japan). The ramen bowl itself was pretty simple, strong flavors from the chicken broth, the pork itself was pretty alright. It's honestly pretty standard but does not have a Japanese feel to it. I tried my friend's Birria Ramen and it's literally tastes like a taco in a bowl haha, which is pretty accurate. So even my Chinese friend likes the birria ramen because it reminds of her this Chinese instant noodle she always has lol. So I guess meaning in a good and bad way, but she still enjoyed it. Overall, the whole experience was not bad. I do only see JINYA in the more 'whiter' communities, so I find this to be not very authentic Japanese ramen. Also it's pricy for what it is when I can get an authentic bowl for $16.
