Their thai food is so delicious and made fresh. The manager has worked at the Thai Talay location in Pismo for many years and has expert experience with Thai cuisine. We've been going to that location for close to 10 years so now we don't have to drive to Pismo anymore. We have awesome Thai food in our own backyard. Very excited to get a Thai restaurant in Nipomo and had already heard good things from several people. Went the other night and had Sauteed Vegetables with chicken, Pad Thai, and Pad Saw Ew with Calamari . All were very good. The calamari was cooked nicely and not overly chewy which was great. The vegetables were all perfectly cooked and still nice and crunchy just as they should be.Service was very pleasant . Definitely coming back. read more

Being locals, we are very happy Thai Villa opened in Nipomo. Asian restaurants are not very plentiful in are area so we were hoping Thai Villa would be good when it opened and we have not been disappointed. The food is a bit pricey but is very very good, as is the service. Love the BBQ chicken and the pad thai. Very friendly staff. We have had some very nice conversations with the chef who tells us she would be more than happy to provide group cooking lessons. We may take her up on that offer. We are and will continue to be a regulars. read more

Food is delicious but customer service is horrible. I called for an order for pick up and was put on hold for 10 minutes then forgotten about. Tried to call again later several times and every time the phone rang busy as if they had just left the phone off the cradle. So finally I decided to go in and order my food. I got there ordered and waited in my car till it was ready. As I was waiting I noticed the person who took my order and told me he would bring my food out to the car was leaving for the night. So I decided to go in and check on my food. When I got in I saw my food just sitting there on the counter. The restaurant was not busy in fact there were no customers at all. Thai restaurant in Nipomo, had to try. The yelp reviews were mixed with most complaints regarding service issues. So our party (5) went in right at 5:00. We were met and seated right away, this seemed ok and even though 5 or 6 other small parties were also arriving, no one seemed to be waiting, there maybe was a little confusion as to who was taking who as parties but seemed quickly resolved. water beverages and menus were brought right away. The spring roll appetizer was presented very nice and was the freshest that I have ever tasted, with some chicken on the top as a nice touch. The food dishes were presented fast and very nice with fresh ingredients and spiced nicely. My only complaint was that my 805 beer appeared to be in a 12 oz glass at $6.00 was pricey compared to other beer served in this area. All in all, the service was good, the food was great, the staff was friendly and attentive and the beer was a little pricey. I'll be back as a regular customer. read more

Interior and atmosphere is nice. Got the yellow curry. Really good flavor and sauce texture. But that is where the good meal stops. Potatoes and vegetables in curry way underdone and the chicken (pounded flat and grilled) was extremely hard and dry. Over cooked. Rice was good. Would have given the place a three star (sauce would have carried it) but the real bummer was the service. I tried the restaurant for lunch at 12:30pm. As I waited to be seated I looked over the lunch menu. When I was seated they gave me the regular dinner menu. I did not realize it at first and had to wait for the only waiter to work with the two other tables before I could flag him down and ask for lunch menu. He brought it over and said the lunch menu did not have a few of the same salads and prices were cheaper. But, the meals were the same. Holding the lunch menu I ordered the chicken curry. When I got my check he charged me the dinner menu fee. I noticed the other two tables in the restaurant only had dinner menus offered to them when it was clearly lunch time. This place or this server is a rip off. Won't go again and can't recommend based on this alone. read more

Inconsistent is what I think of, when I think of Thai Villa. Its a hit or miss. With take out I wouldn't even bother. I've tried over and over again, because when you catch them on a good day the food is wonderful. Unfortunately I've ordered out and a couple times and I've received pad thai with little flavor, unmixed and soggy. I have ordered a larb salad to find no salad under the ground chicken just sautéed vegetables. Order at your own risk. read more

The food was very good! The service was very poor, but it was not the server's problem. We came in at noon, he was the only server there. We waited a long time for him to take order, no water offered, drinks finally came out at almost the same time as food. Salad plates never picked up through entire meal, not once did server ask if everything was ok or did we need anything. This was not even the worse part of our experience. The owner came in at 1:00, yes we were still there, I expressed my concerns to her. Her response 'well we just don't know how busy it's going to be, yesterday it was empty'. My comment to her, 'better to have too much service than not enough '. She continued to argue with me and told me that the 'customer' needs to understand them being short-staffed! Um no!! No apology, no offer of taking drinks off of bill etc., needless to say, we won't be back. Had the attitude been better we probably would go back, food was very good. I do not recommend this place. We have been there several times previously and it was good. On our last visit I ordered Pad-Thai with chicken and shrimp $17 for this dish and my wife ordered another dish, Total bill over $40 for 2 dish takeout. When we got home I noticed that they did not put Shrimp in the Pad Thai but we were charged for it. I went back tonight 11/16/17 and placed a takeout order and told the young man at the counter that we were shorted last time thinking they would make good on the situation. He said he would make sure the shrimp was included this time. When the food was ready I realized I was charged again for the shrimp. When I asked if I was charged, the young man said yes and started to walk away. I told him we would most likely not be back again. He looked at me and said that will be fine. I will be making a point to tell everyone we know to beware of the Thai Villa and their poor customer relations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHEATED. Meal was delicious with fresh and high quality ingredients but the place needs a lesson on cleanliness. Tablecloth was covered in grease stains and my husband found a hair in his food, which happens occasionally in restaurants but the table next to ours also had hair in their dish. If they clean their linens and have the staff tie their hair back I think this restaurant will be very successful in Nipomo. read more

This is a great place. They are very friendly and service oriented. I called in a phone order for Pad King, which was not on the menu. At first we didn't understand each other, her accent is very thick, but when I said it had ginger she knew exactly what it was. I picked it up and it was not as garlic rich as Nippas in Redding, but excellent none the less. Cooked on the fly and great impressed me. Pad King should be on the menu. On the other hand, the fried rice was fluffy and good, but average. I wish they put a couple of soy sauce packs to enhance the flavor. Overall, I'm glad I found this place, and will eat here often when in the area. read more

I hesitate to give 2 stars. I was leaning toward 1. A friend wanted to take me to dinner and I suggested the new Thai place. Took several minutes for us to even be acknowledged after we came in. Once we were seated, our order for soup/appetizer and main dish was taken (no beverage other than water was offered). Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Another couple came in and sat adjacent to us. (the seating is very "snug" so they were practically at our table). They ordered. Shortly thereafter dishes were brought to their table but they were the wrong ones. After a while, a waiter came to the adjacent table and asked what they had ordered as the waitress had not entered the order into the computer. Pretty soon, he came to our table with the same question. We got up to leave as we had already waited a long time for our food but we were assured that there was a lot of food already prepared but they just didn't know who had ordered it so we stayed. My shrimp soup arrived tepid and the broth tasted like bad seafood so I didn't even try the shrimp and the server took it back. My friends Satay was edible. The main courses arrived and as I had also ordered shrimp with that I was reluctant to eat it but I did taste the curry sauce and it was cold. I ate one spoonful. My friends vegetable dish was not very well cooked (veggies barely cooked). We sat with full, uneaten plates for quite a while. No one came by to ask us how the food was. We finally flagged someone down to bring us a check. They asked how many to go boxes we would like (hello. If all the plates are looking untouched, wouldn't the question be "was there a problem with your meal"?) We elected NOT to take anything home. They did take the cost of the soup plus an additional 10% off but the bill was still $37 and we ended up going to another local eatery for dinner. Hopefully this is just growing pains and they will get better but I doubt I will be going back. They did seem to be doing a pretty good take out business so maybe our experience was aberrational.... read more

Food was over cooked bland and I asked for soy sauce and they never brought to table The service was very slow took to long to get out I was late for work. To top it off I spent $39. For rice and noodles they added tip to the bill. Will never go back! read more
