They located on Rt1 and easy access. The place offers food only for To-Go. No restroom for customer but there is waiting place with chairs. I had small green curry @$11. Good price and good volume for one. I certainly give 4.5 for that. The curry cocked with bamboo, red/yellow pepper, carrots, green beans, Thai basil and a choice of protein. I had chicken and it was juicy and tender and plenty in the dish. Only and most important disappointing point was the curry soup. It was rather blunt and very watery loose. It gives me an impression of diluted a bit. I'd give 3.5. However for their price and volume, the final verdict was 4 stars. If you like thinner/watery soup, then it will be alright. I wouldn't go back there unless they change the recipe. read more

Best Thai around! Everything is always piping hot and tastes amazing! I really love getting their house salad - bright fresh crunchy veggies with peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Delish! We are now weekly regulars here. Everything we have tried is the best around. My favorite is the Thai drunken noodles, my husband loves the chicken pad Thai and for appetizers we've tried the fried spring rolls, veggie spring rolls and the chicken satay, all three excellent. Each time we've ordered the woman on the phone has been extremely nice and gave us the most accurate pick up time. We went through a phase when we didn't care for Thai Villa but those days are over! We love the food there and the service. It's a toss up for us between sweet Angel and Thai Villa. This place never let's me down! Food is delish and even though it turned into a take out spot when bringing the food home still hot. No matter what I ordered food was always on point! As far as spiciness, well you could always ask for it on the side and adjust to your liking. So long to Siracha sauce cause the chili powder from there doesn't change the taste of the food like Siracha. Food comes in two sizes, either small or large. My favorite Thai place in Maine! I highly highly recommend you try their masaman curry. Some things to note about Thai Villa: 1. Take-out only at this time 2. The drunken noodle tastes different than standard Thai places. The sauce has a sweet taste and they include pineapple. However, once you get over the fact that it doesn't taste like drunken noodle elsewhere, you will become addicted and whenever you crave it you can only get it from Thai Villa! 3. The Pad Thai is sweet. 4. Their spice level is on a four-star scale. My friends who eat spicy food in China will get a 3 star to stay comfortable. I can take some spice and half a star will keep me a happy camper. 5. There are lunch-size and dinner-size options. Enjoy! read more

Thai Villa was really good. I had the fried rice, it was fresh and it was bomb! It's only downfall is it's only takeout but still worth it.

Pad Thai had very little flavor, only a couple scallions and not a single bean sprout. Massaman curry was just ok. Agree with the other reviewer that dishes here are a little bit spicier than other Thai restaurants. Portions were kind of small compared to other Thai places, even though the prices are the same. Quite possibly the worst Thai food we've ever had. We ordered three dishes, two stir fries, and one noodle, plus fresh and fried spring rolls. We are vegetarian and ordered fried tofu, but were given some strange extra hard tofu, presumably the "fresh" version. Whomever cooked the noodle dish, Pud Kee Mao, didn't bother stirring the noodles, so they arrived in large rubbery chunks--three layers thick, "al dente," I guess you could call it. We had to pick the noodles apart and re-cook that dish to make it edible. All the dishes were dry, salty, and otherwise flavorless. A real disappointment, given other reviews. There is significantly better Thai food just up Pleasant Street, closer to town. read more

This is by far the best Thai food I've ever had. I used to work right down the road from them and miss having it for lunch at least twice a week! Pros: Friendly service, reasonable prices for the portion you get, they don't hold back on spicy peppers (optional of course), and the food is just incredible. It's also easy to get to when traveling, since they are only a couple minutes off exit 28 of 295. I've tried a good portion of the menu and have loved everything. Pad Thai is my go to dish, but everything else is great too. I've tried Drunken Noodle, Thai Lad Narr, Pad See Eww, Broccoli and Chicken, Yellow and Masaman Curry, and Thai Fried Rice. Their Dumplings and Spring Rolls (fried or fresh) also make great appetizers as well. Cons: They don't offer brown rice. It's really the only con I can think of. Thai Villa was my first thai experience a few years ago, but after trying about 15 others places between ME and MA, Thai Villa is still #1 for me. I live in MA now, but will travel to ME once a month to visit family. Since they recently extended their hours to stay open until 9, I now have time to make a stop on my way through after work on a Friday night. I can't think of a more perfect way to kick start a weekend. read more

I am not sure if I am just picky on my pad thai....but it seems every place we go with 4-5 stars end up being meh for me. The pad thai was too sweet for me, I rated it as okay. My husband also said his drunken noodle was average. I do think they were pretty good cold the next day though, better than they were hot, I scarfed up my leftovers. The staff were nice and food ready fast when we had called 10 minutes prior for take out. There does not appear to be sit down service, just FYI, (we were going for take out regardless). There are a couple small waiting tables perhaps you could sit if you wanted but I think thai is really best with chopsticks and a movie on the couch anyways. Not sure if I'll be back, still on a quest to find the best Pad Thai near me. read more

Don't let it's small size or appearance fool you, this is up there with the best Thai food I've ever had. The quality is top notch and fresh due to the small dedicated workforce/owners. This does cause longer waits during busy times since the capacity is low, but trust its worth the wait. Best dishes in my opinion are Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle & Thai Basil. Note that with the fresh spices these dishes are hotter than many other Thai restaurants. I recommend taking it down one Star on the 4 Star spice scale from what you would typically enjoy. read more

my fiance eat here all the time when we are in town. it is inexpensive and good, you can taste the freshness of the crab rangoon, and hardly wait any time at all for your meal. the staff is friendly and always glad to see you when you come for lunch or dinner. definitely would bring anyone who loves good thai to this restaurant! portions are of excellent size never leave hungry read more
