Finally found a place on the east side that serves legit khao soi. Still a little more thick that I'm used to via Chiang Mai, but still savory, spicy and oh so good. Love the rice and crispy egg noodles with plenty of chicken. Definitely good Thai comfort food. Also tried the devils curry with lamb which had a great flavor and was delicious as well. Both meat (lamb and chicken) were slightly overcooked but other than that, strong thumbs up. And to cleanse the palate at the end, they give the most delicious tiny scoop of coconut ice cream. Late review but I did take out from here few weeks ago and upon walking in I was greeted by kham. She was super nice and helpful which is also one of the main reasons why I will be returning to try more deliciousness! If you read this far I spoiled the review but YES! The food is delish, I ordered the panang curry , pad kee mao , crab wontons and the mango sticky rice! Everything was scrumptious and authentic. (I'm really picky being Thai) Eating dinner that night gave me ratatouille effect and brought me back to my childhood when my grandma would whip up all the good stuff and this place is right there with her. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice quiet tasty lunch or dinner and not having to pay a premium like other places in the Bellevue area. Not saying anything about other restaurants but this place is great for someone who doesn't want a super packed loud crazy experience just to eat authentic Thai cuisine. Meh, that's the best I have for my experience here. There was no one in the restaurant so we seated ourselves. Menus were already on the table. The guy sitting at the counter was in his phone. He came over and stared at us until we said we needed a minute to look over the menu. He came back with water then went back to whatever he was looking at behind the counter. We just wanted something quick so we ordered wings, sticky rice, crab wontons(seriously can't taste any crab), and spring rolls. The wings were supposed to be garlic but they tasted like they were soaked in salt and fried in old grease. We ate, we paid, we left. Nothing truly despicable or desirable. This place exist in a grey area from my experience. I had to walk up to ask for water when my glass was empty. Then I had to ask for boxes when it was time to go. So yeah, meh. The place has got really bad recently!! We use to like the food and ordered To go all the time. Last few times we noticed that there was hair in the food, and the employee who was mopping the floor went back without wearing the gloves put garnish on our food and very recently there was a piece of styrofoam in our food. When I called and spoke to owner/manager Lily - instead of apologizing she hung up. She also started blaming me and said we keep history on all customers and you did this third or forth time. I ordered at this restaurant twice every week for a year and if I am paying for food I expect it to be good not have Hair or styrofoam in it. They have lost my business!! Update on review - I called back again to ask for a refund and Lily the manager said she goes to Five star restaurant and it happens all the time. So she is ok of it happens at this restaurant. This place is so great. We live about 45 minutes away so it's been awhile since we've been here but it was as good as it was before. Fresh, delicious. The food came out fast and hot. We weren't rushed. He recommended the homemade coconut ice cream which of course we ordered. There's nothing like it. I didn't take pictures, but we had the spring rolls and crab appetizer. Pad Thai and garlic chicken. For dessert, he said there was a delicious special of sticky rice with mango. I had never had anything like that before. It was amazing! So delicious, so fresh. Crab rolls were crispy, perfectly fried, tasty cream cheese and the crab tasted real. Some of the best crab won tons I've had, and I've had lots! See iew had tender but perfectly chewy wide noodles, quite scrumptious. We loved everything we ordered. I only wish my Kao soi had come with Mustard greens and was a bit less spicy, but since I didn't ask to make it less spicy, my fault. Service was impeccable and friendly. This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in Bellevue. They have great food and great service. The food seems very authentic and it's quite spicy. I'm usually quite happy with a level 3 out of 5 spiciness (and I like spicy food). Their pineapple fried rice is amazing! I also love their coconut prawns appetizer. During summer they have some amazing mango sticky rice. And during fall, they have a delicious pumpkin curry. When you get the check, you also get a complimentary tiny scoop of coconut ice cream. Edit: I left without signing the receipt as I was in a hurry. (It was a pick up order). 2 days later saw the charge and they had taken it upon themselves to add a tip for themselves. Disgraceful. Disappointed of late. I've frequented this place for years. The food has always been above average, but today I went to pick my order up and noticed the portion sizes have been cut down by about 30%. After pointing this out, they told me that they changed the packaging and so it looks smaller. Yes, they changed the packaging but not only is the packaging smaller but it was also less filled than the previously larger container. No possible way it's the same portion sizes. Just be prepared to be skimped. Not sure whether there're new owners or have reduced portions to compensate for Covid losses and to maintain margins, but there was no attempt at retaining a long standing customer. Won't be returning. Much better options out there. read more

This is a pretty good Thai place. The Seattle area has tons of Thai places and generally speaking I'm usually not disappointed in them. I got my usual pad see ew with pork. It was a sizable portion for about $10. The noodles were cooked nicely with the sauce. I didn't really like the cabbage thrown in there so next time I would take this out. This was once my go-to Thai place whenever I'm in the Crossroads area but it is not anymore. It looks like there's been a change in staff and/or ownership after my visit today. What I miss is the complimentary soup I'd get whether I ordered from the lunch menu or not, the free ice cream at the end of the meal, the oily chili sauce from the spice rack, and the great service I had enjoyed. While the Thai basil fried rice is still good, all the others I had mentioned are gone. Plus you're now getting charged an automatic 18% gratuity. I ordered the pad see ewe and swimming Rama, which were both pretty standard for Thai food that I've tried in this area -- nothing outstanding. However, they do have extremely quick and friendly service, which is much appreciated during a pandemic. I ordered by phone and picked up my order within 10-15 minutes. The location is pretty easy to get to, since there is a parking lot for the strip mall, as well as plenty of curbside parking. I came here the other day for Tom Kha. It was good. Is 15$ too much to pay for Shrimp Tom Kha and some rice? I am not sure... It had all the elements that make Tom Kha... I found a bit too many lemongrass reeds, roots and other seasonings. I found the rice portion to be a little too small. So far however, this is better than the Tom Kha INSIDE Crossroads mall. Thai VP is a very quaint and cozy restaurant near Crossroads mall, right next to Dough Zone, for those who are familiar. We came in for a Wednesday lunch at 11:30, and the restaurant was empty. It quickly filled up in 15 minutes, so I'm glad we made it in before the lunch rush! The lunch specials menu is great! There are 12 traditional Thai dishes -- curries, stir fries, and noodles. Each one comes with a soup, a spring roll, rice, and even pad thai! All that for $10! Now that's a lunch deal! We started our meal off with Chicken Crystal Rolls. They were pretty bad, to be honest. There was virtually no chicken, the noodles were really dry, and the whole thing was just really tough to chew. We also ordered the Crispy Garlic Wings, which were amazing! There wasn't a lot of garlic flavor, but the skin was so crispy and the meat inside was warm and slipped right off the bones. The sweet sauce is the kind that's typically used for spring rolls, but it worked really well with the hot, salty wings! Only thing is that $8 for 6 small-ish wings felt pretty steep. For my lunch, I ordered the Chicken Green curry. The curry was filled with bell peppers, bamboo, eggplant, and chicken. Unlike the Crystal Rolls, the curry had a decent amount of chicken and vegetables, and it all worked very well with the rice. I got it with a spiciness level of 3 stars, which is just the right amount of spice to get your attention, but it won't force you to take a sip of water between every bite. I've never heard of a restaurant give Pad Thai with every meal, so that was an automatic plus. The Pad Thai was good -- not the best -- but it definitely had a good balance of salty and sweet, without having too much of that fish sauce taste. Oddly enough, curry with pad thai actually worked pretty well! ;) The spring roll that was included was really average -- tasted store bought. At the end of the meal, some places will give mints or fortune cookies, but not at Thai VP. They give you free ICE CREAM! You get a small (very small) scoop of homemade coconut ice cream as a treat at the end of your meal. It's very coconut-y, but not too creamy or sweet, and the small portion size is just enough to satisfy a sweet tooth without making you feel bloated; a very refreshing way to end the meal! In the end, the lunch specials can definitely fill someone up, and for $10 it's an awesome deal. Not only do you get the most popular Thai curries or stir fries, but you also get a side of Pad Thai, so you get a little sample of everything! I've had more traditional-tasting Thai food, but not for this price. Thai VP is an awesome deal for a quick lunch, and it's definitely worth a try! read more

A Friend of mine told me about this place yesterday and told me it was good. So, we went there today for business lunch and yes, it was great. The owners are wonderful, the wife is cooking so the food was so great. The place used to be a Persian Restaurant that I have been at many times before they went out of business. We had the lamb dish today, the meat was tender and the sauce was great. The prices are great too, most items for lunch menu are around $8 range but the portions are big enough.
