We were craving Thai food and decided to give Thaibodia's takeout menu a try. We were instructed to place our order online to receive the takeout pricing and arrived on time for pickup. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When I asked for a small container of the pepper sauce that is available at the tables, I was told no. After paying and leaving, we realized our dessert was missing from the order. I returned about 10 minutes later with the bags, and instead of simply verifying the mistake, the employee counted every item in the order as if there was doubt about the missing dessert. Once the mistake was confirmed, I still had to wait another 10 minutes while multiple employees checked on me. To make matters worse, the food itself was fairly mediocre and didn't stand out compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. It is convenient for us to order from this Thai place as it is minutes away from home. Also, their noodle dishes are the best bang for your buck. They always have offers going on on their website. We always try to order directly from the restaurant and pickup the order ourselves. Their pad see ew, kari mi noodles, pad thai are amazing. We got the takeout special, 4 entree for $55 and it was very worth it! First time trying this place and it was really good. The spicy basil fried rice with $1 added beef was very flavorful. I liked that they had an option to choose less oil and less salty so could be healthier. With these options, the dish was still amazing. I just wish they added more beef. Here is what we ordered: Roti (3/5) $10.95 Somehow this was not as crunchy as I thought it would be. It was very flat and the dipping sauce was good. Small portion but good. Papaya Salad (3/5) $16.95 The papaya salad was just ok and seemed like they added a lot of other veggies as fillers. There wasn't any protein in it for the price of $16.95 seems very high. Pad See-Ew (2/5) $17.95 We added chicken to this dish and when it came out, I was excited to try it. It came with broccoli and carrots. BUT it was burnt and had the worse burnt char flavor on the noodles. I was super disappointed. Pad Thai (3/5) $19.95 We added shrimp and this dish was lacking a lot of flavor. And for almost $20 I would expect a lot more. Pad Prik Khing (4/5) $18.95 This was the only dish I liked. With beef and string beans was seasoned well and went well together Spicy Rock Cod (3/5) $20.95 This wasnt spicy at all. It was cod coated in a thick batter and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. Finally tried Thaibodia off South Main Street and it was delicious. The inside was beautifully decorated with a warm, welcoming vibe that reflects Thai and Cambodian influences. The food did not disappoint at all. We tried the roti appetizer, beef salad, pad Thai with chicken, and the spicy catfish which ended up being our favorite dish of the night. Portions are very generous, they definitely don't skimp, and the service was friendly, fast and genuinely welcoming. I ordered takeout from here a couple of weeks ago through the Yelp app. I got the Pad See Ew, Roti, and Eggplant Dish. Picking up the food was pretty easy as my boyfriend waited in the car while I went in to get the order. The place looked like it was in this small plaza area amongst some business buildings near Great Mall. The food was tasty, but the Eggplant Dish had no eggplants?! What...why? I chose the tofu option for it, there were tofu and other veggies, but no trace of any eggplant whatsoever. We were bummed out about that since my boyfriend loves eggplants. It was still tasty though. I had no issues with the Pad See Ew or Roti as both were good. Also, there are no utensils in the bag. Good thing we were going home to eat this, but if not, we would be screwed. I used to work at a restaurant during my teen years, and we always included utensils with take-out orders. The outstanding one is corn fritter. it is unique the way they fry it. I never seen this before. it is yummy but a bit may be overcooked as it is a bit dark color. Eggroll skin is too tough and chewy. I wish it is crunchy. The prata is good. For the main course , the highlight is the spicy cat fish with eggplant. The rest are ok. The portion of many dishes are huge. I can say it is for 2 people. Pad Thai is good and not too sweet, Fried rice is yummy, the Curry are good but I find better curry at other Thai restaurant. Especially when you choose beef as your protein, it tasted really delicious with the noodle. * Chicken skewers. They grilled the chicken so well, and it's a perfect combination with the peanut sauce. * Golden Prawns. Perfect for appetizers, and it comes with fries as well. So if you have picky eater in your family/group this would be perfect for munchies. * Hor Mok. We chose chicken as our protein based. Usually people would order fish as protein, but any type of protein is good since the coconut cream sauce really hit the spot. We love this dish so much and we always order this whenever we visit this place. * Spring rolls. We love this as appetizers since it's packed with veggies and can fuel you up. * Thai Papaya Salad. Tom Yum Soup: A sour & spicy soup with mushroom, grape tomato, yellow onion, carrot, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, fresh lime juice, Thai chili, and your choice of protein, garnished with fresh cilantro (Small, extra $2 for Shrimp). We had a reservation for a large group at 7pm. For the order, you place it through a QR code menu at your table. But to pay for the check, you can't do that through the same ordering system, you'll have to flag down an employee. For appetizers we had the Chicken Satay and the roti with curry sauce. Both disappeared quickly amongst the group but the chicken satay and sauce got audible reactions from a few of our group members. The Tom Kha was my favorite dish of the night. For those who can tolerate more spice, the first bowl from the Tom Kha hotpot should be yours! The chili oil floats to the top making the first bowl the spiciest. The soup become more and more mild as you get to the bottom of the bowl. We also ordered the Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice (has large pieces of pineapple!). We also ordered the papaya salad. We had this on with Mild spice but we should've turned up the heat as the spice was not present.
