I wasn't expecting much since the Thai restaurants in Honolulu are hard to compare with. The host was very inviting and she was attentive enough during my lunch encounter. The Thai tea was delicious. I also ordered the pad Thai which was a little different. The noodles seemed a bit thin to me and the sauce was a little on the sweet side. Well, we can't speak for what it tastes like if you eat in, but we'll know better than to order the Grubhub delivery. On the positive side, it was reasonably priced and the delivery went well. Of course, that doesn't help much if the food is very meh, as this was. Noodles blah flavored, sort of like they looked. Curry blah. Neither of us later finished the leftovers. We would normally have ordered from our usual Thai place, which never fails us, but it's closed--whether for good or for remodeling, we don't know. Sure hope it opens back up. This place is good. Not 5 stars because the cashew chicken only had like 4 cashews, among a few other things. The food came out maybe one or two minutes after we ordered, which was kind of surprising. One night we came here about 15 minutes before they closed to get a to-go order and the person working barked "we're closing soon!!!!" as soon as we walked in. I get it, you don't want people to linger, that's fine. But to not even let us get 2 feet inside the door to place a to-go order was kind of intense. Maybe close earlier if you don't want people in there or if you don't want to cook food past a certain point. I thought it was off-putting. This spot just keeps getting worse and worse ... got the yellow curry - no chicken - extra veggies and requested extra carrots and broccoli- instead got a shit ton of onion and soggy peppers both which I don't really eat but I like to have it cooked with those items for flavor..... so... that's cool.... the flavor has gone down hill too sadly, the price has gone up and honestly the service has gone down .... I have gone here since they opened and honestly won't return. There's so many Thai places in the area. I posted a picture so as you can see I got charged full price for half of what I should of gotten... literally once I took out all the crap I didn't ask for, it took away half of my meal. You can see how empty my container is. Also the charge for peanut sauce for a small ass container is outrageous honestly ... most Thai places don't charge that much for so little and sometimes just give you extra for free... they literally basically fought me over the peanut sauce then gave me an extra one and kept telling me to have a good day even tho I was still talking to them, SO RUDE. I felt really insulted and I'm sure they had plenty of things to say about me after I left. But I will take my business else where and getting better food and better service. Not bad! There are a lot of Thai restaurants in the area and it can be hard to stand out. I loved the interior decor here. They also had a TV showing videos of how some traditional foods are made. I opted for pad thai instead of my normal red curry chicken. The portion was a bit smaller than at other places but it was the lunch menu so that just meant it was closer to being a normal portion size instead of enough leftovers for another full meal. We decided to branch out and was extremely disappointed. We had the khao soi and the pad Thai and it was honesty the worst we've ever had. The noodles were extremely overcooked and even the wrong type of noodles. Both dishes had the same pasta- rice noodles-angel hair pasta. Both very odd noodles for both dishes! Ordered for delivery at 8:25 without realizing it said they close at 8:45, and we have had issues in past with third party delivery reflecting proper hours etc since covid, so wasn't sure if it would end up cancelled or not... but no! I was so looking forward to having a wonderful lunch today but was very sadly disappointed. I ordered yakisoba with chicken to go and it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It was possibly the most plain dish I have ever had. I have had yakisoba at other Thai places like Mee Dee Thai and Simm's, and I was so disappointed especially since it took 20 minutes to make and had no sauce on it. My colleagues had a totally different experience and got the lemongrass pad Thai and I wish I had done the same. As soon as I tried it, I wanted to take it back. Will not try this again. read more

We've been dining at Thailander for two years now, and love the place. The people are very friendly, the atmosphere is fun, they are always willing to help with any dietary needs, and the food is great! The only issue I've ever had is when choosing "no spicy at all" sometimes it's still spicy, but I am very sensitive to heat. We'll continue to come back! read more

I love their pad thai, and green thai iced tea. I get the tofu pad thai, and I LOVE how much tofu I get!! The pad thai is nice and moist with delicious flavor, not dried out and bland like some places in the area. Their salad rolls are good to, quite authentic. Tried to go to this restaurant for lunch. There was 2 people in the restruant eating and about 12 tables vacant. The greeter directed us toward a tiny little table with steel chairs. We asked to sit at a larger table and were denied. He explained that the larger tables were for 4 people only. Really? There was no one there! He refused service unless we chose a tavle that was smaller than a child's table at McDonalds. Sad. Needless to say we did not and will never eat there in the future. I will discourage anyone I know wanting to eat there. Poor customer service. Ended up at Ban Thai just down the road. Worth the extra mile drive. read more

The best chicken pad thai I have ever had!!! My husband loves pad thai and tends to crave it at least once a month, me not so much a fan until we ordered some from Thailander last week for the first time. I WAS BLOWN AWAY on how delicious it was and the noodles were great! I kept telling my husband how delicious this is and now I've found the best Thai restaurant in Beaverton. First time at this restaurant and my daughter and I loved the food. We started off with the Thai ice tea -my daughter really liked it but I wasn't a fan. We ordered the appetizer plate - Baby 4 Combo with angel fresh rolls, devil egg rolls, crab rangoon and Shrimp on the beach. All were delicious (my favourite were the latter two). We also shared the Bangkok Fried Rice with shrimp and Pad Thai burrito with lemongrass chicken. Generous portions and we couldn't stop eating even though we were stuffed! This is the best Thai food I hAve ever had. There new noodle curry soup is amazing. I love coming here. Haven't had one bad thing.

A coworker of mine eat here (dine in or take out) at least a couple of times a week saying how good the food is. Ever the adventurous person that I am (food wise), I gave them a try. I had pad kee mao (aka drunken noodle). It was good - I can say it was in the top 3 pad kee mao I've had in Portland area. The amount was decent. My other coworker who went with me had a pad thai and he said it was good. The service was good, although they brought my coworker water when he had asked for thai iced tea - at least they didn't charge him for it... Do note, though, - that the "medium" (I ordered 2 out of 1-4 scale of spiciness, 4 being insane) really is medium here. I eat spicy food almost every day and I thought "2" had some kick to it. - when the coworker did a take out of spicy basil, as other reviews noted, he got what looked like 3 cups of rice and barely a cup worth of spicy basil/meat stuff. Not sure if it's a take out thing or if the ratio is how they serve for dine-in as well, but yikes. read more
