We hopped in after a stroll through the lower east side (without diligent research or web stalking) and were delighted by the awesome not-overly-fancy food, the waiter's warmth and pleasant demeanor, and the general ambiance (great playlist which included a Dawes song). We started with the Mr. Roti and a papaya salad -- both great on their own, but even better as contrasting flavors for appetizers. Then, my date got the beef noodle soup (to which she added some homemade chili sauce) and I had the pad see ew (I forget how they spell it there, but it's the slightly sweet brown sauce wide noodles) with vegetarian duck. I have come to thailicious multiple times this year to get together with friends. The vibes in the restaurant are amazing and the service is wonderful. We were so excited when we order from this restaurant because we love thai food. The price was good. However, we are very disappointed by the food. Duck in noodle soup was extremely dry and tasteless. The soup was way too oily. It's unpleasant to eat such food and makes me feel bad. Moreover, chicken in both curry and drunk noodle was cut into thin slices and dry like rubber. I usually like to eat chicken breast but this is the driest, the worst chicken breast I've ever had. I can't believe they sell it like that. Also every dish has too much oil... The drunk noodle had unpleasant smell and taste.. We have ordered delivery from here but finally got to eat in restaurant and it was even better than the excellent delivery. The papaya salad was a perfect mix of sweet, sour, salty and crunchy. The noodle dish and wok dish we had were both excellent and the meat was good. The mango sticky rice at the end was delicate, sweet, coconuty and the mango only enhanced the experience. Restaurant is also immaculate with a clean restroom. Definitely will continue to order delivery but also make it to the restaurant more often. read more

Thailicious is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Manhattan and has without doubt the best food. The service is great and you'll get seated very quick. The food is soo good and you will get served pretty quick. The waitresses are amazing and the food is authentic while maintaining a good price. Awesome food. Service is great. The owner is always friendly and take care of customers and whatever they need. She always check our water and see if we need refilling. Sometime when it is not busy she initiates sweet conversations with her customers. I have never experience an owner who would initiates conversations and share her experiences and stories. I always come back here. Even during pandemic I would order take out from them. I love their thai ice tea with lychee! read more
