I should've gone to another salon. I went in for a haircut... i showed pictures with shoulder length shags. Letting my stylist know I'm super low maintenance. Just a wash & go style. Which wasn't exactly what I got. Unfortunately I also let her talk me out of bangs. I left Thairpy not loving my hair and immediately washed it after, to see what it really looked like. The cut is much shorter and not even close to the shag i requested. I've had this cut before - so I know it is possible. My biggest issue is my cut is not low maintenance. It maybe uniformed but air dries terribly. Going from using no hair products the last decade... I just ordered products. Thairpy specializes in extensions. My stylist was sweet - but I don't think the cut I was requesting was in her wheelhouse. She had great reviews on Yelp & Google. But after watching & talking to her. Her responses to my questions didn't make me super confident she knew what she was doing. I was already in the chair & we'd cut off 6-8 inches. Looking back - I should've stopped her when my gut told me. I'm sure they do great extensions & are better with longer hair & uncomplicated cuts. Thankfully hair grows back & in 6-8 months maybe it won't be so bad. read more

I've only had extremely professional, concise and well educated advice from Lyndsay from my extension consultation, application and personal follow up. Lyndsay takes the time to teach, train and apprentice making sure the standard of care and application is overall elevated in her salon, community & industry. She takes pride in ethically sourced hair, which does cost more, but is the right thing to do. In reference to the owners reply to my review: Thanks for taking the time to respond. Yes. That is the text I did send the same night I had more foils added immediately after I had returned home. As I mentioned in my initial review, I did at first believe I had achieved my hair goals. But in the days that followed, I quickly realized that the areas around my face she attempted to brighten were solid orange which wasn't fully discovered until i pulled my hair back. From that point on, and as the weeks continued, the clusters of extensions became gradually more problematic to work with as they were easily tangled with one another. In addition to how quick the tips made their way through my pony given how low they were installed to begin with. You are correct in me texting my appreciation and love however had a few days/weeks passed before doing so, that communication wouldn't have happened. I appreciate your mention of assuring your salon's clients are fully satisfied. I believe as a business owner, that's adamant. It was apparent that my ask to be fully satisfied, by having the additional foils put in so I didn't have visible grow out still along my part and face frame, while also hoping it would brighten the blonde to Better blend with the extensions, was more of a nuisance to the stylist rather than satisfying a customer who in total spent well over $2000. Which is also, in part, why I wanted to thank her for the additional time because I knew it was seen as a total inconvenience to her. There just comes a point when a third attempt to try again, at the same establishment just wouldn't make sense. So, to your point, I have definitely moved on to a better fit stylist elsewhere. I had my hair colored by Hillary today and it did not go as I was hoping at all. She was very nice but I was trying to go back to my natural medium brown hair color but maybe a little less mousy. I showed her a picture of my natural color and this one of Sofia that is definitely different than my own color but still a medium brown. The color that Hillary chose was wayyy darker than either of these, as you can see in the photos.
