Pork belly & egg with fish and noodles
    Stephen F.

Food is delicious, reasonably priced. It does have a small sit down section or take your food to go. I would say most take their food to go. The setting is fairly organized. Service here is good and attentive when it's not busy.

    #2 combination Banh mi

Banh mi was solid -- generous portion. Flavor was good, but I would've loved a bit more veggies for better balance. 4/5 The spot gives off mom-and-pop vibes, which I always appreciate. The lady who helped me with my order was friendly and welcoming. Would return to try other items on the menu such as their rice plates, noodle soups and hot food bar.

At first I wanted to dropped by another Vietnamese sandwich place, but they ran out of bread near closing time. Anyways, I yelped the nearest and found Thanh Huong. I ordered the following bang mi: Shredded pork with skin Bbq pork Too bad they didn't had pork belly so I went with bbq pork. While waiting, one of the staff was mopping and accidentally bumped my back without saying sorry which was rude. The taste of the bang mi was just okay for us. Not enough meat and veggies. Never going back and next time will go early to my other favorite bang mi joint.

Iconic Vietnamese deli/bakery/fast food restaurant. There used to be many locations and brands when starting in the 80s. Most of the owners have since passed away and nobody wants to work long hours without benefits anymore in the land of stock options. This is the last one which still has the variety and low prices similar to 45y ago. Much more diverse menu options than a bahn mi only place. Used to be multiple locations now only 1 for this brand. Changing demographics. Very high volume of customers buying 1-2 16oz containers of steam table selections to go. Hot steam table: large variety. 1 item $10.00, 2 items $13.00 with choices not seen in other locations because of cost. Things which arent common: bamboo, big chunks of different types of fish, catfish, saba, small sardines,. Bitter melon both stuffed and stir fried versions. Bamboo shoots, the larger roots cut and sauteed. Multiple braised pork belly entrees, min 2 different types. One is roasted crisp the other is braised. Open early for elderly crowd on food stamps. Large choices of veggie dishes including bamboo + steamed spicy pork. No reviews on porridge. They use broken rice which is different than the the version with all the rice grains broken down. In the old days they paired it with a roast pork or roast duck protein. Those days are gone. You can pick with any protein they have in stock. Ground pork which they use in banh cuon, seafood options(shrimp, sardines, saba, any fish they have in stock) which they use for the steam table dishes. $14.75. Bakery: fresh baked bread, waffles, anything to keep costs down. Freshly made banh cuon, $15/tray, cheaper than the specialized banh cuon bakeries. They make profit from the high volume and don't have to raise prices on everything to break even. Banh Gio: $3.50, like lotus wrapped sticky rice but this replaces rice flour for the rice and uses a seasoned ground pork and mung bean for texture contrast. Delicious. I see elderly come in when they open and this is an affordable bfast option without high fat or sugar. Banh Mi: $8.50, they don't skimp on the meat. Better filling quality than the specialized banh mi only places in ESJ. They have lost tehir #1 rating to Duc Huong on Story Rd. Bun Rieu: Couldn't finish the crab balls. Very authentic, slightly sweet -sour from the tomato broth and added lemon slices. Contrast in texture w noodles, hand formed crab pork balls and home made pork broth w the BR seasoning. Depth of flavor, flavor changes in mouth. Not americanized with added sugar.

I visit Thanh Huong a lot and the banh mi's are very good! We usually get the chicken banh mi or the Chinese sausage/fried egg banh mi. They are great portions and the bread is amazing. It is a great go to spot. This trip I got the shrimp spring rolls. It comes with 3. These spring rolls were good, but the shrimp was small. The spring rolls also were full of bean sprouts and mint but I wish there was more noodles inside. The parking lot is small, but they have a private lot. They also have seating inside and other hot fresh food.

They gave my this. And they told me they wont serve anymore of them packages

Came in and bought 30$ worth of food. Ate at the table, and asked for the sriracha chill sauce package. Gave me 1 , so i came and asked more. Still gave me one. So i came to ask the 3rd time and they told me no and tell me to get the chopped chilly instead. Lol i guess them packages is worth 1 star rating

My favorite childhood banh mi spot! This local Vietnamese eatery has stood the test of time with its authentic banh mi's and a wide variety of food and drink options. I get the #1 grilled pork and it's always packed with meat that's juicy, tender and flavourful. Service is extremely quick and always super friendly staff to welcome you. Parking lot is small, so it's more of a grab-n-go for takeout. There are tables inside if you want to enjoy your food right away.

Best viet sandwich in the South Bay!! I got the classic banh mi thit nguoi (cold cuts) and my cousins got a cooked meat sandwich. They were DELICIOUS--cousins were also pleasantly shocked. Better than Lee's (commercialized, thin baguette) and Thanh Huong (I really like this place too) but the bread here is SO fresh and airy and delicious. We all loved the bread. Meat ratio was top tier, wish I had more veggies (lol). Coffee was also strong and delicious. Service was good--workers are straight to the point and quick. Ambiance could be better but it's a typical lil viet shop/"corner store" I'd say where they sell food but also pre-packaged foods here and there. They had seating and AC so cant complain!

I've never been shy when it came down to voicing my dislike for Thanh Huong. No matter how many times I've attempted to give the business the benefit of the doubt, I am repeatedly reminded of my poor decision whenever it came to purchasing Vietnamese sandwiches here. While I have no clue as to "when" and "why" TH decided to make changes, I am absolutely ecstatic by the improvement in quality and taste. The last 2 visits have been greatly enjoyed but that didn't mean my skepticism disappeared. I held back from updating my previous 1 star review due to that specific reasoning. I reasoned the delicious sandwiches were simply due to luck. This most recent visit has sealed the deal and has officially converted me into being a fan!! Forreal, Forreal- I never thought I'd say that!! As of now, my one and only go-to Banh mi is ba chi [pork belly]. Every purchase has been thoroughly enjoyed and at times, I've lucked out with the baguettes being pretty loaded!! The meat is tender and the infamous pink layer of skin is nice and chewy- exactly what I look for when it comes to well cooked ba chi. 4/5 stars. One day I'll venture out and sample different offerings but for now, why fix something that isn't broke??!! Extra points because TH's nem chua [cured pork or beef] is absolutely delicious.

Banh mi!!!! Omg, came here yesterday to try it out & this is the real deal. Banh mi is so delicious - I had the grilled pork & not only was it good, they don't skimp on the meat & the bread is amazing! Can't wait to come back for another fix. Fast & friendly service

The only issue I had was that I did not receive a receipt! So I had no proof of my purchase which was a little worrisome. In the end, I did receive my order, but I still wish they gave receipts for kiosk orders. Most of the customers avoided the kiosk and went to the cashier. I will most likely avoid the kiosk in future visits.

We've been ordering takeout from here forever, and it remains one of our most frequented spots for good reason. The egg rolls are a must, and if you're going to order them, get the crab egg rolls. Call ahead for the egg rolls as they do take time to fry. For entrees, my personal rotation never changes: bun thit nuong cha gio (always hits), com tam bi thit nuong (the broken rice combo is deeply satisfying), mi quang, and chao long. Fair warning: the interior is dated and the staff speak little English, so come in knowing that. This is an old-school takeout joint through and through so don't expect a polished dining experience. But if you want a hearty, authentic Vietnamese meal at a price that won't hurt your wallet, Dakao delivers every single time.

Something made me think about Katz's Delicatessen in NYC and I suddenly craved a Pastrami sandwich…read more I was excited to find Mirchi nearby and a locally beloved pastrami with interesting ingredients. Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.
