By far one of my favorite Vietnamese places in the Twin Cities to get pho. When I'm not getting pho, the fried rice is my vote for #1 in town. Service is quick and prices are great. The restaurant is clean and we've been here several times for family gatherings - a perfect lunch or dinner spot! Highly recommend.

Big lover of Thanh Vi. Branched out and tried their sesame shrimp. Super yummy! Wish the shrimp were a bit bigger though. Other than that the breading and sauce was soo good. Customer service was great and they are always on time for take out orders when we've picked up! Easy ordering online.

Good place for Viet Food. I got the bun thit, nem nuong. The nem wasn't my favorite but the thit nuong that they had was very good. Tried some of my mom's pho broth and it was good as well. What I really like is their che, especially their che ba mau (3 colored che). It's a great dessert dish. Overall it is a place I would definitely come back food. There'a some chinese dishes on the menu as well, but it is Viet owned and I've only had the Viet food here. The atmosphere is really relaxed and there are booths and tables available. The staff and owners are all very friendly as well. Great spot in Brooklyn Park

My mom and I always get #63 the beef over rice noodle salad. The egg role one #60 is also good.

Great service and really yummy food! The egg rolls are my favorite. They are super crunchy and full of meat.

They don't do refills here. The owner hides behind the counter while the workers sat around.

Prices were cheap. You get a huge portion for the $$. I won't be back due to the bland flavor and low quality ingredients.

We started with cheese curds. Loved that they were batter fried and not breaded. Very tasty and a huge app portion. My entree was the pulled pork sandwich with bbq beans. Everything was very good. Pork had a savory flavor and it was nice and tender. Portions were large. Topped it all off with a Hazy Little Thing beer. Great service. Easy parking. Just off a major road. Great stop.

He told me back then that someday we needed to check out J&J's. We love small business, local, non-chain restaurants. I decided to surprise my husband and take him to J&J's for Father's Day. We are empty nesters, so it was just the two of us for lunch. We arrived just after 12 p.m. There was a line out the door, which we expected since it was Father's Day and Sunday lunchtime. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely recommend J&J's to others!

If you're looking for a sweet style Pho, stay on the Saint Paul side you will not find that type of pho on the Minneapolis side. You will never find me ordering pho on the Saint Paul side because I do not do sweet pho. For example, there is a Pho Pasteur in St. Paul like the one in Boston but don't be fooled because that place is located in Saint Paul and it is very sweet broth there and it is nothing like the place in Boston. This is the #1 Viet restaurant for the pork chop broken rice plate. You will never find another place of this exceptional quality. That makes better marinated pork. I love love their lemongrass chili oil. It is not drenched in oil like at Chinese places like this is the true Vietnamese style lemongrass chili oil. That says a lot considering that the spot that has been at the top of my list on Eat Street has been there for over two decades! I was here for my first visit yesterday and there are three big things about MT Noodles that really impressed me: 1) This place was spic and span clean! Walking in, it looked more like a bright, fresh, corporate lunchroom or college cafeteria space than someone's living room from the old country like so many of the small Vietnamese eateries I have been to in various cities around the US. 2) The staff were very helpful, friendly, and concerned about their guests. There is clearly a high amount of pride in what they are doing in operating this business. They checked on my table several times, and they were clearly concerned about my party enjoying our meals. So much so that they seemed alarmed when I got up to pay the check and there was still food left on the table. They were worried that we did not enjoy it. We had to reassure them that everything was outstanding, but we simply had poor self control and ordered too much. 3) The food was simply awesome! In portion size, cost, variety, and taste. It is easy to find a good bowl of Pho just about anywhere but rare to find authentic Bo La Lat, Bánh xèo, Nem Nuong, or Bun Cha Hanoi as they have here. There are many places that attempt to imitate but really don't succeed. This place nails it. A more authentic Bo La Lat I have not had even in Ho Chi Minh City! 5 stars for that menu rendition alone! There are only a few versions of Pho on the menu, but I can tell you that the soup here was extremely deep, Rich, beefy, and satisfying. It was full of aromatics and good to the last drop! I am really looking forward to a second visit here to surf my way around all the other great sounding menu items!
