The society burger is by far my favorite burger in the bee cave/lakeway area. I find myself craving it weekly. The spinach artichoke dip is deliciously creamy. The coconut shrimp has the perfect crunch paired with the sweet and spicy dip. My kids beg for the pot pie every time we go. I love how it comes with 3 sunny side up eggs, a dense baked biscuit with white gravy. Because of how dry the biscuit is, it need white gravy. Walked in. Loud place, lots of tv's. Sat at the end of the bar. Took 15 minutes to acknowledge me. Finally got a drink, their old fashioned. Actually quite good with a whisky I never had, 1881. Rye. It was prime rib special Thursday with mushrooms and mashed potatoes I think. I don't think the Prime rib was a prime cut, very mushy, on top of the mashed potatoes. Mushrooms on the side. Came with a small ramican of horseradish and. Au jus, The plate and everything was swimming in the Au Jus. They poured it all over everything. I give the whole dish a 4 out of town. I should have went with my other choice of fish and chips, their number one dish. The place was lively. The bar chair was comfy. The bartenderess was accommodating. Since it was my first time here they give first timers a small slice of their G mas dump cake. Tasty. I will come back one day, don't know when. Bottom line I will give it a shot read more

The decor and overall vibe of this restaurant is great. The colors are wonderful and fresh. We wanted the patio but it was a wait and we were hungry. ;) We sat at a large table split into two tables over by the bar. There is a step up into the booth so be careful. I almost bit it. The table can be pushed into one large U-shaped booth. It was kind of weird staring at another set of customers. ;) Good concept overall but weird when split into two tables. The waitstaff was pleasant and friendly. Our waters were refilled regularly. The waitstaff comes to that side of the bar for glass drop-off etc. - so it's a busy corner. If you get bothered by that kind of stuff; ask for a different table. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. The pickle-to-breading ratio was off; way too much breading in my "fried pickle expert opinion". It came with ranch dressing, Buffalo sauce, and fresh blue cheese crumbles; nice choice of sides with the pickles. The steak sandwich was great! The fries were yummy. I'm glad we split the sandwich (see pic) as it was a sizable portion. I like that they split it for us and served us separate plates. So kudos for that! Overall, I'd come back to this place. The menu looked solid. I wonder what this place is like at night? I guess I'll have to come back and check it out! You should too! read more

Although I love the location and have been a few times, last night's meal did not impress me and wasn't prepared as requested. I ordered the grilled Atlantic salmon medium rare (came out well) with ginger broccoli (not seared enough and seemed like they added water while cooking). My dad ordered the prime rib sandwich and fries. That was a different experience and delicious. We also ordered the spicy passion fruit margarita and a last word. The drinks were delicious. I'd rather give this a 3.5 star review, but given my meal I can't give it a 4. Service was slow last night and my water was never refilled. She was busy and nice, but I'm used to having more attentive service. Ambiance is wonderful. Maybe next time a burger and drink for me will be better. read more

We have been coming to this location for brunch every few months since it opened. We came today for my mother-in-laws birthday and my husband and I ordered the chicken and waffles which were always amazing in the past. The waffle used to be thick and fluffy and the chicken juicy and flavorful; not today. They've clearly changed the recipe which not includes a dry, flavorless piece of chicken between two of the thinnest, most flavorless waffles that my husband swore were frozen eggo waffles. My daughter, her boyfriend and my son were all unimpressed with their food as well; everyone believed that the food quality has tanked. We really loved this place and would come for brunch on Mother's and Father's Day, Easter and other times after church. We all made the decision today to not go back. The service and ambiance are great but they do not in any way make up for the food! read more

This restaurant is such a great addition to the Galleria. The site had been vacant for several years (formerly occupied by Iron Cactus) so I'm thrilled to see a beautiful new restaurant finally filling the void. They did a wonderful job with the decor inside. It's modern and sophisticated. You can tell that a huge investment was made and they have succeeded at creating a really lovely ambience. The food at other League locations is always reliable and this new location is no exception. They really have the formula down. I have been here 3 times since they opened and it was great every time. On my last visit I had the "anytime breakfast" and my friend had the steak salad. They were both delicious. I would highly recommend both dishes. On another occasion I had the cilantro lime shrimp salad which was also really yummy. There is a large outdoor patio with a view out to the greenspace in the center of the Galleria. In the summer there are concerts on the weekends so I'm sure this will add to it to popularity of the outdoor dining here. The bar inside is quite large and welcoming. There is also a small private room in the back if you have a group of around 25 or so, I'd guess. read more

Really great experience overall. The decor is fresh with baby blue leather booths and seats at the bar. The food was impeccable. We had the steak salad and chicken fried pork. Although I would recommend blue cheese dressing with the steak salad vs the mustardy one that comes with it. Jeremy was our server and he was awesome from start to finish! I love the atmosphere in here. The old timey pictures and the bar were wonderful. We came in an hour before they closed and got seated right away but I guess which ever server got assigned to us forgot and we waited around 20 mins before having to ask the host for a waiter. That's my biggest complaint right there. Everything else was great. Wendy took care of us and even gave us a little history lesson about the decorations in the restaurant. The drinks aren't too overpriced and there's a lot to choose from. The food servings are huge so you can be sure you won't be leaving hungry. read more

Eh.... We went to a movie next door and the wife was hungry. So we were going to Tonto Cafe Blue, bit I talked her into the League. Bad decision. We ordered wine, good, and I had the fish andnchips - she ordered a salmon salad with blueberries. Salad comes out - Salmon is cold, and there are strawberries - which she dislikes. She asks waitress and is told " we ran out of blueberries"...well...you may want to say that up front in case someone does not want a substitution. Fish and Chips were a bit bland and soggy. The wife quickly ordered something else that came out after I was already done- it was fine. The service otherwise was decent, and we got a free dessert being it was our first time. It was good. All in all we spent with tip about 100 dollars and was only really happy with the wine and dessert. I had heard good things about this place and was disappointed. We did not let it ruin our night - they movie was good and there was a live outdoor play that was pretty cool. I think there are better options and will go with instinct next time. read more

This is a new location in Bee Cave Hill country Galleria where we live, we have been to the League many times before the food is good, Plus on Mondays is buy one get one free hamburgers, and They also have other deals during the week, we sat outside, the food is good, however we just went for the drinks as we had already eaten earlier and we were full we just had the truffle fries with sea salt. Went there on a Sunday afternoon thinking we had avoided the lunch rush. Gave my name and number to the hostess and was told there would be a 10-15 minute wait for inside seating or about 30 mins for the outside. I asked for the first available table. I NEVER got a text from them. The reason for the 1 star is obviously due to their service, or lack of. The hostess mentioned there were only "2 servers" and she was sorry about the wait, however, we saw several servers and the manager assisting the customers. They saw us seated outside waiting and no one bothered to check on us. After a while, we just left and went to Tony C's nearby, where we were promptly seated and the food was delicious! read more

Drinks were the only saving grace (but also - how do you mess up drinks?). The food was NOT good. We got the fried pickles as an appetizer but you couldn't tell they were pickles. It looks liked Buffalo chicken bites. Way too much batter. Entrees were all pretty bad - definitely not worth the money. With all the amazing restaurants in the Austin area - we will not be back. Excellent bar service. Drinks aren't too crazy priced. I only got apps but the tuna tacos are excellent. The star loss comes from the pigs in the blanket. Even the bar tenders told me most people do not enjoy them after commenting on them. Honestly, store bought is better than what is served there. If it's not popular and your staff doesn't recommend it, probably time to change it or remove it. Will be back to try other food though as the staff was very enjoyable. read more

I really hate giving this restaurant 3 stars the food was delicious and the drinks were great, but we got a sever from HELL I rate him a 1. I really hate leaving a negative review but honestly our server was the worst, (don't be in the business of hospitality if you're not prepared to serve). We came in on Saturday Our check says his name was dawson. I arrived with my party of 5 (4 adults one child). I asked for a child's seat not once,but twice to our server personally which he never brought I had to ask a different server walking about (I thank her wish she was a server or anyone else). We all ordered drinks which only 2 came out he didn't put in our other drink orders why idk. However our drinks were delicious. When our server came to take our order we asked him to please put his mask up he rolled his eyes and said "sure fine so what do you want". There's the tone of our meal. I just want to say I have eattan here before and the service was night and day. When he left the table I checked in with the others to see if it was just me or if he seemed off to them too, they all agreed. All and all the attitude and tone didn't change I really hated leaving a 15% tip because I would have wanted to give him less however, my base is 20% but he left the worst taste in all our mouths, (I hope this was just a bad day). The rest of our meal went on in the same tone as if we were a burden to have and didn't want to really help us. I felt weird about asking for extra chetchup. I will come back again and leave a better review if the servicer we get is better if not I will speak to the manager directly about the staff. I really want to like this place because I live so close. Please give this young man some proper training . If I do come back in the future, future I will specifically request him to see if its gotten better. read more
