This restaurant is out of this world!! My husband and I came here for the first time 5 years ago and it was so good we came here two nights in a row. It's located a mere 100 meters from Fontana Trevi. Excellent location. Every time I come to Rome, I make sure to come back and enjoy the delicious food. I went back tonight and it didn't fail. I enjoyed their homemade lasagna along with Prosecco. It was only €17 and it was well worth it. I only wish I could have enjoyed one of their signature desserts, but I was too full. One suggestion...make a reservation. The host at the door was having to turn people away with no reservations because they were so busy. I didn't have one, but since it was just me, I did have to wait 20min to sit at the bar, but the wait was well worth it. Look it up online, make a reservation, and you'll find yourself coming here more than once during your stay. OMG I only wish there was more room in my tummy for their amazing food. They do accept cash as well as cards. The staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming. It's like they're inviting you into they wonderful home. That's Amore is a place you should swing by and try if your doing the site seeing in Rome. It's on the way to the Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain depending on your route. The crowd is a mix of tourists and local business men. The serves speak English, which is always a plus. During my travels I spent about 12 Euro/meal including wine. Here, depending on the choices you make it could cost you about 20-30 Euro a person. So if your prepared for those prices then this spot is for you. In Italy, food is a way of life. I typically spend one to two hours on lunch and about three hours on dinner. I ate lunch here, but could imagine the dinner to be very good. My girlfriend and I ordered a bottle of Processo, started with the Grilled Veggie plate, finished off with the Lasagna and the Mushroom Truffle Pasta (70 Euro). I have to say, I had some amazing Olive Oil in Italy, and this restaurant was one of them, which was surprising because most good places were producers not restaurants. They sell it, so if you want some impressive souvenirs, buy some because I'm telling you it's good quality. Next the grilled Veggie starter was mouthwatering good. They served it with Focaccia Bread. They make the thin kind, so know that your not going to be getting the thicker bread. It was unbelievable, it had such a great crunch! I drizzled their olive oil and balsamic over it, a solid choice I might add. The pastas were both amazing, I enjoyed the homemade lasagna the best. They managed to have so many crunchy cheesy corners. The portions are big, but I have had bigger in Italy. The Truffle and Mushroom pasta was good as well. The truffles were out of season, so if you aren't there during the season, I'd try something else. The Gnocchi looked great from a far. They also had some pretty beautiful look deserts, but we passed. We already racked up the bill. I can't decide if I'd go back or not, but I know that there are a few other restaurants that I would recommend before this one. Overall though, the food was solid. read more

Sooo when I am out of the country and am looking for a restaurant and I see one with a high number of reviews and high ratings, the sceptic in me immediately comes out. I'm thinking to myself, is this legit or a tourist trap?! Well in this case there were a lot of tourist but the ratings were spot on. This place oh so yummy! After trying all the other top rated restaurants around the neighborhood, we finally descends on this place on our last day in Rome. My wife makes a remark that this is more suited for American taste, and I cannot agree more. The pasta are more cooked than the other restaurants. The seafood is properly cooked and seasoned. Homemade lasagna is nice. Services are friendly. Strongly recommend you make reservation at least 24 hours ahead for dinner. If you have no phone to call, you can email them. They say they will respond for dinner reservations up to 12noon the day of. All in all this is probably better than any other top rated Italian restaurants around this neighborhood. read more

This place was too crowded and you will need a reservation if you want a table. We have to eat at the barra because we did not reserve it but it was worthy. My son asked for a pasta bologna and he loved. My wife tried the calzone and it was fabulous and, I had the pasta amatriciana that was terrific. This was our favorite restaurant in Rome. We went here on our second to last full day. We didn't have a reservation, so the wait was pretty long, but so worth it! The inside is bigger than it looks from the street, but you still will be sitting pretty close to the person next to you. They have an extensive wine list, so they will be sure to have something you like. The food is absolutely fantastic. I ordered the filetto di manzo al pepe verde (pepper fillet mignon). It was the best steak I have ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely packed with flavor. I love the sauce it came in and the potatoes were a perfect pairing. My husband ordered the seabass. It was so flaky and delicious. You can tell it was fresh. For our dessert we got the millefoglie con crema e scaglie di cioccolato. It was flaky, sweet, and rich. Our last night in Rome we were on the search for the best gnocchi and this was number four on a list we found on the internet. The list must have been wrong because I can't imagine anything better than the gnocchi we had for dinner tonight. When we arrived the line was short but out the door. Fortunately, we got seated quickly at the bar. The service was fantastic and food came out very quickly. We had pizza with pesto to begin and the gnocchi for our entree. My mum and I were searching for a restaurant to have our first Italian meal in and stumbled upon this gem. To our luck, there was no queue outside so we were allowed straight in. The interior is great with pictures of famous actors and actresses. It is a bit cramped but makes it feel homely. The food was delicious - one of the best carbonara's I've tried. Bruschetta was yummy and super crispy. The pizza was extremely fresh and recommended by one of the waiters. Gosh, this place is AMAZING! The amount of flavor in each bite is really incredible. I recommend the Sea Bass pasta plate. I highly recommend you make reservations, but if you're like us and don't plan ahead, they may be able to seat you at the bar, which ended up being great because we got to watch the bartender prepare a bunch of desserts which was fun. Prices are fair, the atmosphere is cozy. This may be one of our favorite spots we tried in Italy. I thought this place was going to be a tourist trap but I was delightfully wrong. The food was fantastic, one of my favorites in Rome where I studied abroad for 4 months so trust me. I ordered the pasta with sea bass and it was so creamy and delicious. The dessert was also fantastic, I can't recall what it was called but it was like a slice of tiramisu crumble type thing, amazing. I had a pizza it was Devine but they are huge so you could share between two people if you don't have a huge appetite. Very busy spot- if you are with a group I'd advise to make a reservation. The owner greets you at the door with a smile, and you just know you are about to have an amazing culinary experience. The food is simply dynamite. Amazing! We went to this restaurant for lunch based on the Yelp reviews. We were skeptical based on the name but Yelp hasn't led us astray yet. And it didn't in this case either. That's Amore was awesome. Very cute inside and the staff is very friendly. But the food is the highlight. We started with a margarita pizza that was delicious. We had just come from Naples and had some amazing pizza but this was just as delicious. I had Fettuccine Bolognese and my daughter had Gnocchi. Both were among the best I have ever had. Absolutely loved this place! That's Amore is a little restaurant located in the heart of Rome. I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation prior to coming as there is always a massive line out the door. My girlfriend and I got an order of pasta and one of the pizzas. The seafood pasta was absolutely delicious! The pasta was creamy and was very delightful. It came with a mix of seafood on top. I was really surprised at how much seafood they give you. Most restaurants tend to be stingy with that. The seafood was also extremely fresh and super delicious.
