The 7th Street Standard restaurant is on the first floor of the Hyatt Centric on 7th and L Street in downtown Sacramento. I've considered stopping in for a meal before a Kings game in the past, but had a hard time finding parking, but I stoped in today for take out, before leaving the downtown area. The menu was limited, but I had a $50 certificate I purchased last year that had to be used in its entirety. I was lucky that I was able to order off the happy hour menu. I asked for the regular menu, but it wasn't much different, and wasn't available til 5:00, and I was parked in a limited parking space. I ordered a Smashburger (if they ask if you want fries or salad, it's an extra $8), pork belly appetizer, a mozzarella and pepperoni flatbread, and a tuna poke. The burger was very good, on a poppyseed and sesame seed bun, the pork belly was cut in chunks with a peanut sauce, and was pretty fatty, as expected. The flatbread was meh, and the poke was mixed with avocado, seaweed, jalapeño peppers, and a very heavy ginger flavor. It came with a fluffy rice crisp, instead of actual rice. I would've preferred rice. I enjoyed the burger the most, and would be willing to go back just for the burger. The bartenders, Jared and Hernan?) who also handled the food orders at the bar, were very nice.

Food was really good! Came in during happy hour. My favorites were the chicken lollipops and the smashburger! I was really happy with the price. On the other hand, the seervice was okay. Had a bit of a wait. I think it was because I was in the seats and they were attending to the many people at bar. While I was ordering, they originally gave me the wrong flatbread. They did end up fixing it, but I was so hungry and wanted my correct order.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, modern vibe and my favorite meal of the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was honestly hesitant to get the French toast at first, but it ended up being the best I've ever had! If you're a texture person, this is a must-order because the combination of the flaky bread and candied almonds is incredible. The peppered bacon was also delicious, and they give a surprisingly massive portion of fingerling potatoes. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped by The 7th Street Standard to check out their Dine Downtown 2026 menu! This was my first visit, and I booked a reservation through Open Table (and earned points!). The restaurant is located inside the Hyatt, and it offers an intimate dining experience for hotel guests and the community. Service is exceptional! From the moment we arrived, hotel staff greeted us at the door and wait staff were constantly refilling waters before they hit empty. I was really impressed! As for the food itself, I ordered off the special pre-fixed, Dine Downtown menu. I started with the butternut squash soup, which was silky smooth with a nice crunch from the pepitas. I opted for the Chicken & Dumplings, and I was a little disappointed. The biscuits were rock hard, and the pan sauce was sparse. I felt like I was just eating chicken breast, and my favorite part of the dish was the roasted carrots on the side. The NY Cheesecake was nice and decadent. Overall, good value but would have preferred a different entree. My partner ordered the Truffle bread for the table, and it was a stand out appetizer! I'm interested in coming back for Happy Hour to enjoy their cocktails and starters. Pro tip: If you come during a Kings home game in a jersey, they'll take 20% off your bill!

I love The 7th Street Standard and been a customer here for the past couple of years. The service here is on point, I've never had a bad experience here. I was a little confused though from the last visit. Sat at the bar and ordered the poke and let the bartender know that I'm wearing my Kings Gear. (20% off during Kings home games) and he mentioned that they don't do that anymore. Which I was very confused because the website mentioned the offer. I was just shock, then another worker came by and change my check to apply the 20% off. Without saying a word. This made me feel uncomfortable and makes me hesitate to come back. Besides this weird experience, the food is really good and I would recommend this place for the food itself. Everything is farm to fork which means that the ingredients they used is within 100 miles of the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a nice brunch spot or a happy hour spot, would recommend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was really hoping for the same quality of food on this visit. I was skeptical to try the ancho & coffee rubbed angus NY strip; however, the flavors blended nicely with the herbed compound butter and the bordelaise sauce. What I did not enjoy was the quality of the NY strip. It was not tender and very chewy. Not worth the $65 for the poor quality.

Have you ever been to a place where the entire menu is amazing? This place is that!! Came during happy hour which had awesome prices so I decided to order most of the menu! Every single entree was spectacular! So much flavor and texture it was shocking to say the least. The bartender was funny and attentive he gave us really good recommendations! We ended up ordering most of the food twice during our lunch!

We've been here twice already, and each time we've absolutely loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is amazing from the moment you walk in--the design is so beautiful, stylish, and cozy at the same time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It really makes you want to stay longer and enjoy the whole experience. The food is also very delicious, everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. But what stood out the most to us is the service--the waiters are incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable, which honestly makes a huge difference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, such a beautiful place with great vibes, amazing food, and outstanding service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be coming back again and again!

Pleasantly surprised by the Thanksgiving offering at the 7th Street Standard this year. It's becoming a tradition in my family to let the professionals cook on such a high stakes food centric holiday so this year we ended up at the 7th Street Standard. The service was top notch and the roulade of leg & thigh might be my new favorite Thanksgiving dish. It was tender and seasoned to perfection. The cranberry sauce hit the perfect balance of sweet and tart and the gravy and mashed made me think I was eating some down home cookin'. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only comment for this restaurant and generally for other restaurants is to stop the terrible seating preferences.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think as the guest I should be able to choose where I sit in the restaurant instead of being guided to what is most convenient for the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not suggesting I take a 6 seat table when we are a party of 2, but if there are multiple tables with seats available for a party of 2 then at least offer up some options before seating me somewhere I might not want to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here with some friends and I had a lovely brunch. Everything is so inviting that staff is very kind and ready to recommend their favorite dishes. They had so many wonderful classics to try out. One of my personal favorites was the candied Allman's French toast. It was just the right amount of sweetness. And not something you see every day. They had freshly squeezed juices as well, which I loved. I thought they tasted amazing. Parking was super easy to find as well!

Went here for happy hour with a coworker after work and it was great. We went on a Monday around 4:30 pm. 7th Street Standard is located on the first floor of the Hyatt hotel right by DOCO. They unfortunately do not validate parking and there is street parking, or you park at the DOCO garage and get your ticket validated from a shop at DOCO. If you're staying at the hotel, I believe there is Valet parking. I've been wanting to try the food from here after the yelp event back in 2023 with their Dine Downtown Menu. The Happy hour options and food did not disappoint and everything was $8. It was my coworkers first time here and they enjoyed their food. We each got our own burger, which was decent. We both really liked the Tandoori Chicken Lollipops, which you should order if you to eat meat. Easily the best item on the HH menu to me. I also got the pork belly bites, which was a close second for me in terms of taste to the lollipops. The flatbread was okay. Service was great. For HH, you sit at the bar and the bartender will take care of you. They were great with answering our questions. I will add this to my list of HH rotations.

Happy hour Oysters on the Half Shell. (Minimum 6)

Review on happy hours only. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was great, not noisy and you can really enjoy some nice quiet time by yourself or with companion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drink is still a bit pricy compare to the bars, but it goes well with the oysters. They cost about $2 each & minimum 6 to order. Oysters are definitely fresh, but not sweet as the ones from the oyster farms. Still yummy. The burger was good too. Avoid the fries... it's plain. Logan was our bartender & he was great to chat with & recommend some good drinks. I recommend the place if you want to have some down time or bring your date to a fancy place (during happy hours) without breaking your bank.

Do they have a happy hour?

I believe they have a Happy Hour!

    Is it good for kids?

We took our 12 year old granddaughter several times. Depends on the age of the child and maturity of their palate. This is a very nice restaurant and not anything like the Rainforest Cafe.

Do they serve food all day?

Yes! They have an amazing breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner menu!

Do they require proof of vaccination cards?

    No. Everyone is welcome there.

CLEANLINESS Always clean! I have never experienced otherwise. They have pride in all that they do and it shows! LOCATION In the heart of Sacramento. Good street parking. A nice location! PRICE All in all, respectable. Comparatively speaking in our current financial climate, they are priced great! OVERALL EXPERIENCE Always enjoy coming back. I come alone, with another person, or a booger group. All are great experiences!

The bartenders were friendly and quick with getting our drinks out. Overall the space is well lit and beautiful. Next time I will have to try to sit out in patio.

Im a bit disappointed in the happy hour food…read more I've been here several times for their drinks, but something just didn't click in my most recent visit. I came here for happy hour and ordered a handful of their items. Chicken Lumpia - over all I was pleased with how piping hot, fresh out the fryer it was. A bit thin for my linking but I appreciated there were 6 pieces. The sauce did not pair well. There was something off about it that isn't your typical sweet and sour; maybe the sauce was made in house. Sisig fries - decent portion of fries but fell short on the pork. Lacked an egg and didn't really meet the sisig flavors that I'm used to. You can definitely taste the zestiness of the lemon - nice touch, but other than that it's just fries with pork, red onion and green onion garnish. Hot dog - a $9 happy hour hot dog was the biggest disappointment. Sure the bread texture was good, toasted with a nice chew, but that was it. The dog itself was charged to my linking but it really didn't feel worth the money spent for its portion. Fries - 100% would get again. Cauliflower bites - I liked this too, flavor was good but such a small portion our table has to order two. Similar to the hotdog, not sure if it's worth the spend for the portion size. Despite the food not satisfying my cravings, the service was great. The young lady was helpful and was working hard taking orders, making drinks and delivering the food. The place was pretty busy at least the indoor area. Plenty of seating outside, but in this heat not sure if it's a good idea. Didn't see any misters but would be a nice touch to draw in more folks. Side note: some of the cocktails are premade, and can be overly sweet.
