This restaurant is located inside the Hyatt Hotel on 7th Street. They do have valet parking at this spot but street parking is plentiful so I just went with that.I guess garage parking is also an option,but a bit pricey to me. When we arrived I knew I had made a great choice by coming to this restaurant. They sat us right away-We got there a bit after noon and the restaurant was not overly busy. I was just a tad disappointed that I didn't wait to arrive until happy hour when I caught a glimpse of their happy hour menu and prices-next time I will be sure to arrive for happy hour as the prices are much cheaper then. The menu was a nice mix of breakfast and lunch items but I knew I had come for one reason only to try that famous award winning burger of theirs. The entrance is through the Hyatt hotel. It smells so clean like shampoo, everywhere. I was immediately greeted by someone when I walked to the entrance of the restaurant. We were able to choose seating by the window even got to have the blinds peeped open for us. Service was soooo friendly and quick. I was blown away by the food! The 7th Street Standard restaurant is on the first floor of the Hyatt Centric on 7th and L Street in downtown Sacramento. I've considered stopping in for a meal before a Kings game in the past, but had a hard time finding parking, but I stoped in today for take out, before leaving the downtown area. The menu was limited, but I had a $50 certificate I purchased last year that had to be used in its entirety. I was lucky that I was able to order off the happy hour menu. I asked for the regular menu, but it wasn't much different, and wasn't available til 5:00, and I was parked in a limited parking space. I ordered a Smashburger (if they ask if you want fries or salad, it's an extra $8), pork belly appetizer, a mozzarella and pepperoni flatbread, and a tuna poke. The burger was very good, on a poppyseed and sesame seed bun, the pork belly was cut in chunks with a peanut sauce, and was pretty fatty, as expected. The flatbread was meh, and the poke was mixed with avocado, seaweed, jalapeño peppers, and a very heavy ginger flavor. It came with a fluffy rice crisp, instead of actual rice. I would've preferred rice. I enjoyed the burger the most, and would be willing to go back just for the burger. Stopped by The 7th Street Standard to check out their Dine Downtown 2026 menu! This was my first visit, and I booked a reservation through Open Table (and earned points!). The restaurant is located inside the Hyatt, and it offers an intimate dining experience for hotel guests and the community. Service is exceptional! From the moment we arrived, hotel staff greeted us at the door and wait staff were constantly refilling waters before they hit empty. I was really impressed! As for the food itself, I ordered off the special pre-fixed, Dine Downtown menu. I started with the butternut squash soup, which was silky smooth with a nice crunch from the pepitas. I opted for the Chicken & Dumplings, and I was a little disappointed. The biscuits were rock hard, and the pan sauce was sparse. I felt like I was just eating chicken breast, and my favorite part of the dish was the roasted carrots on the side. The NY Cheesecake was nice and decadent. Overall, good value but would have preferred a different entree. My partner ordered the Truffle bread for the table, and it was a stand out appetizer! I love The 7th Street Standard and been a customer here for the past couple of years. The service here is on point, I've never had a bad experience here. I was a little confused though from the last visit. Sat at the bar and ordered the poke and let the bartender know that I'm wearing my Kings Gear. (20% off during Kings home games) and he mentioned that they don't do that anymore. Which I was very confused because the website mentioned the offer. I was just shock, then another worker came by and change my check to apply the 20% off. Without saying a word. This made me feel uncomfortable and makes me hesitate to come back. Besides this weird experience, the food is really good and I would recommend this place for the food itself. Pleasantly surprised by the Thanksgiving offering at the 7th Street Standard this year. It's becoming a tradition in my family to let the professionals cook on such a high stakes food centric holiday so this year we ended up at the 7th Street Standard. The service was top notch and the roulade of leg & thigh might be my new favorite Thanksgiving dish. It was tender and seasoned to perfection. The cranberry sauce hit the perfect balance of sweet and tart and the gravy and mashed made me think I was eating some down home cookin'. My only comment for this restaurant and generally for other restaurants is to stop the terrible seating preferences. I think as the guest I should be able to choose where I sit in the restaurant instead of being guided to what is most convenient for the restaurant. I'm not suggesting I take a 6 seat table when we are a party of 2, but if there are multiple tables with seats available for a party of 2 then at least offer up some options before seating me somewhere I might not want to sit. read more

Went here for happy hour with a coworker after work and it was great. We went on a Monday around 4:30 pm. 7th Street Standard is located on the first floor of the Hyatt hotel right by DOCO. They unfortunately do not validate parking and there is street parking, or you park at the DOCO garage and get your ticket validated from a shop at DOCO. If you're staying at the hotel, I believe there is Valet parking. I've been wanting to try the food from here after the yelp event back in 2023 with their Dine Downtown Menu. The Happy hour options and food did not disappoint and everything was $8. It was my coworkers first time here and they enjoyed their food. We each got our own burger, which was decent. We both really liked the Tandoori Chicken Lollipops, which you should order if you to eat meat. Easily the best item on the HH menu to me. I also got the pork belly bites, which was a close second for me in terms of taste to the lollipops. The flatbread was okay. Service was great. The cozy, beautiful warm green matte colored walls with golden accents, big windows to allow the natural light to illuminate the room, the space and the ambiance was perfect; not too big, not too small, just right for our intimate gathering. My first course was the potato leek soup. Thee best I have ever had...period. The creamy, velvety texture, not too thick not too thin, and the house made potato chip garnish? Perfection on a bowl. On to the entree...UNforgettable. Salmon atop mushroom risotto and a lemon beurre blanc. The salmon was so tender and juicy it fell off my fork a few times. The creaminess of the risotto and the lemon..put it in Tiffany box with a bow..absolutely amazing. I've been here a few times, our first was one of our quarterly boy's dinners with about ten of us, everyone was impressed with the food, drink, and service. It wasn't quite as good in my opinion as everyone else thought but it wasn't bad enough to not return. Tried recently to catch happy hour by meeting there around 5:45 only to find HH ends at 5pm. I feel like happy hour ending that early is a little bit disappointing. Additionally, the pork I ordered was not memorable, nothing terrible about it but I can think of at least two other pork dishes I've had in the last six months that outshone it. After dinner we had hoped to go up to the Clayton club and have a drink on the patio, unfortunately it was closed for a private event. Finally I was told by the bartender that the restaurant validated for valet, yet there was significant confusion and ultimately the valet simply took us at our word when the code for the day did not work to waive the valet fee in the app. Sadly, too disjointed and lackluster an experience for me to rush back but it's still probably worth giving it a shot if you're nearby. read more

The steak was tough and chewy and the turkey was dry and tasteless.The accompanying cranberry sauce was tart and hard to eat. For dessert, we had a s'mores cup.Which tasted like snack pack pudding. Throughout the delays, our server was nice and explained everything.However that only goes so far. Noticed someone who seemed like they were in charge.Going from table to table greeting guests.However she never approached me. We stayed at the Hyatt Centric for my wife's High School Reunion. I had some free time so I went to the bar (7th Street Standard) I ordered the chicken lollipops and pork belly. Both were flavorful and hit the spot! I had a sidecar to drink off their Specialty Drink Menu. The drink was both refreshing and coveted all the flacir notes!
