    Espresso martini. Excellent!

5/5 elote wings. Cocktails are strong (love to see it) but unique and definitely make you want to try them all. We've been here twice now and staff are always super sweet and service is quick. Happy hour is T-Sat from 4-6 (and all day Tuesday), so definitely don't sleep on that. The menu has a good variety, all of which has been good so far from what we've tried. The place is decorated so cute with all the plants and disco balls. We're new to the area but have already committed this to be in our regular rotation of happy hour/restaurants!

Everything I had was delicious! Went on a Saturday about 4:30 to try Golden hour menu. I was surprised it was already pretty full considering they open at 4. By 5 the place was packed! Myself and friends only ordered off the golden hour menu. I tried the seasonal slushee after served assured me it wasn't too sweet. She was right, it was a great balance. I also ordered the chicken sliders and have been thinking about them everyday since. Got a side of house fries and we cleared the bowl. Others in the group got wings, quesadilla, golden hour burger and garlic fries. Everyone loved their food. Service is friendly and helpful! Can't wait to go again.

Great place for happy hour on a Saturday! Enjoyed the food and drinks! We had burger, elote wings, chicken sliders, quesadillas, house fries and garlic fries. The service was great, clean restaurant and fun vibe!

Tasty food, delicious drinks, friendly service, chic yet casual ambiance. It feels very lush inside. We initially thought the drinks were pricey for happy hour, however once we saw & tasted them- we immediately felt it was worth it. Drinks are spirit forward and crafted to perfection . Food was tasty as well! Glad we came! Highly recommend.

This place has been on my list for about a year simply based on cute photos I saw on Google. My friend and I decided to meet here for some cocktails last night and I loved it! Very cutesy and gardeny. The cocktails are good, though we didn't get anything fancy from their signature cocktail menu. We ordered olives as an app, which were delish. Service was quick and great. People around us were ordering food and everything that came out smelled and looked soo good. I'll have to come back and try something off the food menu! (I was having such a good time I only took one pic of their sign )

We stopped in on a Wednesday night to try their winter cocktail menu and grab some dinner bites. We made it just before the mad rush of brew bike participants, but it did mean service was a little backed up at the bar. We got drink orders in after about 20 minutes, and food orders in a few minutes after that. Yes to their whole cocktail menu, but I'm just a girl who had to work in the morning. So I started with the Nutcracker Hot Chocolate and was so delighted, I'm looking forward to coming back to try others. It was fragrant, the foam was giving s'mores, and it warmed my lil holiday heart. We shared the chicken sliders (yes you should get them) and garlic fries (solid snack but not memorable) from the golden hour menu. We also went for the croquettes (absolutely skippable, these were disappointing with a mismatched, thick "gravy") and the mushroom toast. Hands down, my favorite bites of the night, and that's what I'll permanently be ordering every time. Decor is super posh, leaning into that millennial green and plant forest theme, and I felt like I should come back wearing sparkles. A very cute spot for a date or girl's night. But I'd love to see some purse hooks - I couldn't hang my bag from the back of the chair, nor put it behind me due to the gap, so it sat in my lap and caught all the tasty crumbs from the mushroom toast.

The vibes are great but I was not impressed by their food offerings. The staff were professional and polite and there were plenty of patrons. This is definitely a beautiful place, the green, decor, seating and chairs were all immaculate. There also didn't seem to be a theme to the food offerings. While I don't knock a small menu, I didn't see anything on the menu that particularly stood out to me as special. To be fair, I was turned off by the prices and likely would be more inclined to try things off the happy hour menu if I return. Offerings: - Cajun Shrimp Risotto: Good flavor throughout. This was the only entree item on the menu that wasn't a burger or sandwich. - Garlic fries: This is what I finally decided on. A $12 plate of fries seems like a bit much but it did serve as my entree for the night. It was good. Nothing special. Fried well and had good flavor. - Mintnight Snack Cocktail: totally not what I expected. It came in a low ball glass with a huge ice cube but the color was so off putting. I missed that it was a sloe gin and expected a lighter color. It also had a very dark liquor taste and feel. Also, the only mint flavor was an Andes mint strapped to the side of the glass. Really not a cohesive pairing.

Went here for a girls' night out and when we walked in, we were seriously impressed. This place is stunning. The name "The Green Room" fits perfectly, everything was styled in rich greens and golds, super chic and classy. It's totally an Instagram worthy spot. The staff was so sweet, friendly, and attentive. We really wanted to fall in love with this place... but the food just didn't hit. Everything looked amazing, but the flavors were underwhelming. We ordered a variety of small plates to share so we could sample a bit of everything, and unfortunately, not one stood out. To top it off, whatever we ate didn't agree with us so we ended up spending a majority of the evening getting way too familiar with the bathroom. Luckily we made it home before the rumble in our tummys started. That said, we both agreed we'd still give it another shot... but next time, we're going strictly for drinks. It really is such a vibe in there, so fingers crossed the cocktails are better than the cuisine.

Wow is this review overdue. The Green Room is such a unique restaurant/ establishment!! I absolutely love this place! And you will too! Located on 38th and J, The Green Room is next to Mercy Hospital in East Sacramento. If coming from DT/ MT just take J St all the way and you won't miss it. I've been wanting more restaurants like this in Sacramento for quite some time!! YEARS even! I love gastropubs/ tapas joints. With a passion! But they have to be good, and The Green Room is PHENOMENALLY good! What's most unique about The Green Room is the ambiance inside. Whomever designed this place was EXTREMELY creative!! It feels like the type of restaurant you'd find in San Francisco/ Los Angeles/ San Diego; and I'm all here for that! Just a super unique space. It's definitely the type of restaurant you can take friends/ relatives who are visiting from out of town to. And they will love it. Guaranteed! I've been twice with the Mrs., and both times we were thoroughly impressed. When you walk in you'll be met with wall-to-wall green. Shrubbery everywhere! With even some walls painted green. The other walls are made brick and fill with paintings. You can sit inside or outside, but there's also a bar area in the back corner with countertop space for drinking/ dining. My wife and I have eaten at The Green Room for both Happy Hour (or as they call it 'Golden Hour') and regular dinner hours. But for our most recent visit, we dined during Happy/ Golden Hour. We came in on a Wednesday, which meant they also offered their "Girl Dinner" special. I had never heard of "girl dinner" before (lol), but for those interested you get a martini, house salad, and side of French fries for $30. However, we chose to order solely offer their Golden Hour menu. Firstly, we split their Chicken Sandwich Sliders which are made up of fried chicken tossed in hot honey sauce, gochujang aioli, slaw, jalapeño, on brioche buns. They were crispy, fresh, and delicious! You know how most fried chicken sandwiches make you feel like garbage or "weighed down" afterwards? Not these! I have to assume The Green Room cooked these using quality ingredients due how "okay" I felt. 11/10! Next we ordered their garlic fries. Now we are both garlic fanatics (we've gone to the last three Garlic Festivals in Gilroy lol). These will scare vampires away, but man were they good! Crispy, fresh, and garlicky. Again- didn't feel like garbage after eating these. And that's something a lot of people strive for these days when eating out. We want food that's delicious but made with quality ingredients. Last were their wings... DAMN were these fire!!! We opted for them "elote" style and we were NOT disappointed!! Crispy on the outside; moist and juicy on the inside. Their other wing flavors are buffalo and garlic ginger, but elote seemed the most unique. And we made the right decision! Covered in corn and some sort of crème fraîche. MMMMM. HELLA good!! Overall if you're looking for an EXPERIENCE, I cannot recommend The Green Room enough. It's the perfect spot to grab food, drinks, and more in a creative atmosphere and "vibey" environment. I can't wait to come back, and and am excited to see The Green Room to continue to grow in popularity. A+++++++++++

The Green Room is the place to be during Women's History Month! I had such a great time supporting this women-owned Restaurant. The decor is beautiful and makes you feel like you're walking into a different realm. I like that there were many appetizers and drinks to choose from. My favorites were the garlic fries and the pork tacos. And please let me add that the playlist was amazing, they had me vibing out my entire dinner

This place is 100% a photo opportunity worthy vibe. If you're looking for a cute girls night location, this is a great option. It screams, girl dinner! The aesthetic of plants is really cozy and calming. The food and drinks were tasty. I liked my spritz cocktail. Extra points for a super cute and clean bathroom, perf for mirror pix!

I will be going to the green room again. Their ambiance and creative cocktail menu is 100% for my return. Their service was great and everyone is friendly. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was packed. I can only imagine how busy it gets in the weekend

Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

Yes, I go to a lot of dueling piano shows. The Silver Lining has been on my list for a while, so I'm glad I finally got to experience it. Reserved seating in advance, at the bar which costs a little less than the main area, but is just as fun and engaging if you come for the live music. It's a small spot, so the sound fills the room no matter where you sit. The dueling piano show ends between 10:30-11:00pm. I enjoyed it while it lasted. The song request list included Pink Pony Club, Bennie And The Jets, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Sweet Caroline, Gangster's Paradise, I Love Rock n Roll, It's All Coming Back To Me Now, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, My Girl, Piano Man, Come and Get Your Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, Elton John's Your Song, Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero, and a mash up of Brown Eyed Girl and Summer of 69. (I swear I didn't name the entire song list for the night, lol) The musicians were playful but didn't butcher songs to the point of being distasteful... yes some dueling pianists do this at other venues. And their music added to an already inviting setting featuring dim lighting and cool wall art. The drinks of course added to my experience as well. For cocktails, I had the Hell of a Caucasian, Jackie (which was pretty much a chocolate martini) and the 1982 Mojito. The drinks were made well, both in terms of flavor and alcohol content. The bartenders were friendly and attentive and provided excellent service. It's a coincidence I wore a dress, cuz most ladies were wearing dresses on this night. It's a casual spot, I guess it's just the warm weather. A great spot for a fun night out regardless. Thank you, Silver Lining, for a good time.

They seem to know every single song requested somehow! It was my first time going to a dueling piano place and how it works is you request songs by sending money via Venmo (or good ole fashioned cash) and you can request any song. The more you pay the higher priority it gets. You can also pay to cut off the song. Would definitely come again for a fun night out!

I did tell the server that was my first time ordering it and he asked me how it was so I appreciate him checking in. I also had the Al pastor taco, which was good but a little dry but I wouldn't hold that over them. Ordered a hibiscus margaritas well and it was delicious. I want to say they specialize in mezcal cocktails? So if you're not a fan of mezcal, there is beer as an option. I came around 4pm so it was a bit empty but the staff was welcoming. Place was cleaned and very cute. There is also plenty of street parking available. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want a quick meal with a delicious cocktail!

I started with the chips and guacamole. The chips were fresh, crunchy, and served warm. The guacamole was flavorful and well-balanced, sticking to a classic style without trying to do too much. For drinks, I ordered the Watermelon Raspberry Margarita. It was crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Not overly sweet and not too strong, making it a great choice if you're looking for something easy to enjoy with your meal. For my entrée, I went with the Beef Tasajo tacos. The skirt steak was juicy and tender, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and served with salsa verde and lime on the side. The tacos had that classic street taco feel, simple but satisfying. They were generously filled with meat, which I definitely appreciated. While I'm personally not a fan of purple tortillas, the quality of the steak and toppings still made these very enjoyable. My only real criticism was the water service. The cups were fairly small, and refills weren't offered as often as I would have liked. If you're thirsty, it may be worth asking for a pitcher or larger water service upfront. Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied. The food was fresh, the portions were generous, and the margarita was excellent. I'd definitely consider coming back to try more items on the menu.
