Came for the sunset sips, we had french dip sliders and fried chicken sliders- I made a mistake and didn't ask if they fry their food in the same fryer as shellfish so please be aware. However the food- the french onion slider and deviled eggs were great. It was well lit and relatively quiet and git busy at around 7:30 pm

Visiting from out of town and we're so happy we stumbled upon this spot! The music was great, the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful with recommendations, and the drinks were both strong and delicious. The food was absolutely on point as well! We had such a great experience and will definitely be recommending this place to our local friends.

Speakeasy style, the entrance is off J Street through the coffee house! The food was amazing, and the service top notch. We were treated so well, and enjoyed the moody, classy setting.

Great ambiance. Friendly staff. Cocktails great! They have a nice happy hour. Salmon was a little dry. Crab sandwich was ok. Wasn't a fan of the green goddess dressing. Burger was excellent. And fries on point! Cozy, fun spot.

My best friend and I came here yesterday for lunch. I noticed that they had a burger with chips special for $14 from 11am to 3pm. So I ordered that and she got the Bruschetta with olive tapenade (idk if I spelled it right). The burger was really good. My best friend said that the bruschetta was salty but she enjoyed it. The ambiance was super cute and I loved how we had to enter in from the coffee place in the back. I loved how the lighting was calm for the both of us. The service, was good at first until we didn't see the person who was helping us for over 35 mins. Until another server came to our table and asked how we were doing and told them that our server (who was the bartender Rona) had not come back to our table (Rona did come back a bit later, apologized and stated that they were training someone). I used to work in the service industry for years and understand how things happen but I felt like they could've communicated better with us. The reason for the 3 star is the service was kind of a big thing for us as we were wanting to get more water and another round of drinks too while we're there. But I will def come back again !!

Very nice ambiance with dim lights and television screens. The booths had interesting Hawaiian messages. The tuna tostadas were way too salty and were not super fresh. The butternut squash soup was very creamy and delicious- a little on the rich side. Service was slow, but there was a mention of being understaffed. My reservation was oddly under a different name.

Attentive, friendly service. I like the ambiance - the entrance is behind the Cora coffee shop, so it's got a bit of speakeasy vibe. Happy hour is awesome here - $7 aviation and tonic was my favorite, and the food quality exceeded my expectation. Definitely will be in my rotation.

In town for a conference and was looking for a place to have lunch. Found this place next to my hotel, downtown Hyatt. The restaurant was upstairs and had go through another establishment to get there...odd set up. The service was okay. The food was okay. I ordered the gumbo. Serving size was generous. The flavor was not as deep or as tasty as the dishes I've had in NOLA.

It's a pretty decent spot in downtown. One of the few places that was open for late lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was good and the food was good as well. We ordered fish and chips that was decent and the Swiss mushroom burger.

A great spot to stop in while downtown for a drink and meal. Conveniently close and within walking distance to Crest theater. The drinks are strong and the food is good. Next time I would just take the salad without the chicken. It didnt really go well how it was seasoned but the rest of the salad was good.

Came with a buddy for lunch and got the buffalo chicken sandwich. It looked phenomenal when they brought it. The second I took a bite though, I realized it was mostly bread. The chicken was actually very small and my last few bites were bun. It was pretty tasty but the buffalo sauce really overpowered the sandwich. The fries were super crispy and really good. They've got an extensive menu and lots of beers. I would definitely come back and try some other things. My friend got the burger and said it was really good. Service was pretty good too. It's a really cool bar, kinda reminds me of Firestone (RIP) and I look forward to trying more items!

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and only had a few snacks and appetizers but they were great! I ordered the deviled eggs, crab cakes and tacos, and would order them all again. The tacos were especially good, having a fantastic mix of flavors from the battered shrimp, cream sauce, red onion, tomato, cilantro, lemon, and crispy textured flour tortilla. The tacos were so good we ordered a second round! The service was attentive. Citizen also has brunch and is now open on NFL football Sundays with a special menu. I will be back!

The other coffee drink that surprised me was the Revolver. I always forget about what a good pairing orange and coffee is, and I'll be taking this one back home with me to try! Every other drink we tried was delicious in some unique way. The Pho drink was savory and surprising, the New York Sour was rich and flavorful, and the Practical Move was refreshing. Will definitely return here after dinner to sip an espresso martini for dessert!

I was only going to have two drinks here, but watching him craft these artisan cocktails made me want more. I started with the Porn Star Martini which is appropriately named for the champagne ball which explodes bubbly in your mouth- perfect to spoon into your mouth after a sip of the martini! Next up was the Cereza Grande! I watched the bartender make it which was the point of enticement. Loved the sour cherry flavor and citrus fizz! Then, I couldn't leave without tasting the Hibiscus Sunset which caught my eye first. The hibiscus and mint combination was a beautiful, invigorating libation and a perfect ending to my cocktail tasting journey. I noticed there is also a tasting menu here also. I started with the chips and guacamole. The chips were fresh, crunchy, and served warm. The guacamole was flavorful and well-balanced, sticking to a classic style without trying to do too much. For drinks, I ordered the Watermelon Raspberry Margarita. It was crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Not overly sweet and not too strong, making it a great choice if you're looking for something easy to enjoy with your meal. For my entrée, I went with the Beef Tasajo tacos. The skirt steak was juicy and tender, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and served with salsa verde and lime on the side. The tacos had that classic street taco feel, simple but satisfying. They were generously filled with meat, which I definitely appreciated. While I'm personally not a fan of purple tortillas, the quality of the steak and toppings still made these very enjoyable. My only real criticism was the water service. The cups were fairly small, and refills weren't offered as often as I would have liked. If you're thirsty, it may be worth asking for a pitcher or larger water service upfront. Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied. The food was fresh, the portions were generous, and the margarita was excellent. I'd definitely consider coming back to try more items on the menu.

This is my first classic martini (unlike lychee martinis I've had before at other places). My server asked how I like it, with olive juice or with lemon twist or another option I don't remember. To be honest I don't know how I like it because it's is my first classic martini. So I was honest with him. I said I'll do whatever you recommend because I wanted to try a classic martini cuz I've been watching Gossip Girl. I felt silly admitting I wanted a martini because of a tv show. But my server actually did his research and found that Blair (a main character in the show) likes her martini with a lemon twist. And that is the martini I got. He brought frozen glass and poured the drink on the spot. It was such a vibe and a great drink. For food I got the grilled prawns. This dish is delicious and goes so well with my martini! For my second drink I got the shiso fresh. I was debating between two drinks and asked my server for suggestions. He is absolutely right with this recommendation. Shiso fresh is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I loved it. Service is wonder and drinks are tasty. I can't wait to come back!

I opted for the Kumquat Kiss, which was delicious and different. Besides that Old Fashioned, the Hash Brown Lyonnaise really stole the show. Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

I came here for happy hour and ordered a handful of their items. Chicken Lumpia - over all I was pleased with how piping hot, fresh out the fryer it was. A bit thin for my linking but I appreciated there were 6 pieces. The sauce did not pair well. There was something off about it that isn't your typical sweet and sour; maybe the sauce was made in house. Sisig fries - decent portion of fries but fell short on the pork. Lacked an egg and didn't really meet the sisig flavors that I'm used to. You can definitely taste the zestiness of the lemon - nice touch, but other than that it's just fries with pork, red onion and green onion garnish. Hot dog - a $9 happy hour hot dog was the biggest disappointment. Sure the bread texture was good, toasted with a nice chew, but that was it. The dog itself was charged to my linking but it really didn't feel worth the money spent for its portion. Fries - 100% would get again. Cauliflower bites - I liked this too, flavor was good but such a small portion our table has to order two. Similar to the hotdog, not sure if it's worth the spend for the portion size. Despite the food not satisfying my cravings, the service was great. The young lady was helpful and was working hard taking orders, making drinks and delivering the food. The place was pretty busy at least the indoor area. Plenty of seating outside, but in this heat not sure if it's a good idea. Didn't see any misters but would be a nice touch to draw in more folks. Side note: some of the cocktails are premade, and can be overly sweet.
