We came here yesterday for the bottomless brunch. It was $45 a person for the "standard" bottomless brunch. The mimosas were mostly orange juice and tasted like they used the cheapest champagne. I think it was Andre champagne. They originally gave us 2 bottles of mimosas, and once we got to our 4th or 5th bottle, they slowed down refilling them. There is also a time limit on the bottomless brunch of 90 minutes. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant with all of the chandeliers and greenery inside. The atmosphere reminded me of the restoration hardware restaurants. They had a DJ there during brunch and it was so loud that you couldn't hear anyone, which was a downside. There was also a photographer that came around to take photos, who later tried to sell them to us. Since it wasn't a special occasion, there was no point in buying the photos. For entrees, we ordered the blueberry pancakes and the steak and eggs. I was surprised to see the blueberries were just on top of the pancakes instead of inside them. The steak and eggs originally came out well done, so it had to be sent back. When it came out the second time it was cooked correctly, which was medium rare. I would go to another restaurant for brunch in Hoboken in the future. read more

This is a lively restaurant right on the hudson so it is a great restaurant to eat at and enjoy the view/walk along the hudson afterwards. The service was decent and the food was delicious. The place looked so nice inside. Classy yet trendy with the neon sign flower wall. They also have a outdoor seating with a view of the NY skyline. Our waitress was very sweet. She gave exceptional service. We kept asking questions about the drinks and she made sure to double check with the bartender to give us correct info with no hesitation. We ended up ordering the biggest pitcher of "The Whole Pineapple" which is a coconut, pineapple, and rum drink. It tasted just like a Piña Colada! So if you like those definitely go for that. We were told the bartender can put any cocktails in a pitcher and the bigger pitcher size is $65. It served me and my 3 friends 2 glasses each. As for my entree I ordered the Pesto Grilled Chicken sandwich. It was DELICIOUS. The ciabatta bread was so soft and tasty. The chicken was cooked just right and the arugula and mozzarella made the taste even better. The pesto was also so good. It was my first time trying a sandwich with pesto and I definitely need to go back for it. On Friday night I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (which was marked safe on the menu). I double checked with my waitress to make sure there was zero cross contact and that the buns were gluten free. She assured me, yet my burger was served without bacon, but still had gluten free bun. I was brought out a separate dish with just bacon on it and was told it was cooked separately. 15 minutes after eating, I felt extreme nausea, bloating, and cramps. I ended up getting very sick from this meal. I don't know if the fries were gluten free, but they were marked so they should not have been in a shared fryer. Very disappointed. read more

Great place to grab some drinks and dinner in Hoboken before hitting the strip of bars on Washington Ave. The Ainsowrth is located right on Frank Sinatra Dr so it's waterfront and the view is absolutely spectacular. Our servers were very friendly and checked back on our table several times to make sure our drinks were always replenished and that our food orders were all good. The bacon clothesline and the short rib empanadas are go to's in my opinion for starters. The calamari was good, but nothing special. My rib eye steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare and came with potatoes and veggies which were flavorful. Only downside is that they don't offer espressos after dinner, I typically enjoy a good coffee after dinner. Also they replayed some songs 3x during our dinner service which was quite odd. Food and drinks are great though expensive. The only qualm I have is when I recently got the square pizza for $24. I was so dissatisfied and thought it looked disgusting and it tasted gross to me. Not at all in line with the other fancy and excellent food they serve. Generic store brand bad pizza was even better than this to say the least. Had a great time with some friends at the Ainsworth the other night. We all ordered a couple of drinks and some tacos. I opted for the short rib tacos and they were delicious! They come with avocado and fried onions. The portion was enough to feel full, but not uncomfortably stuffed. For my cocktail, I went with the Hemingway, which had rum, raspberries, mint, and lime. It was incredible. I would drink that everyday if I could (I may learn how to make it just so I can... yes, that good!). After that I switch to a beer, because $14 per cocktail can get pricey. Overall, I liked the atmosphere, our service left more to be desired (we waited quite a while for the hostess to return to the front to seat us and then for quite some time for our drinks and food), and the food and drinKs really hit the spot. Side note: on the weekends, the parking situation is terrible. Come prepared to pay upwards of $30 to park in a nearby garage. read more

Check was so confusing, entree prices didn't match the menu during bottomless brunch which made it really difficult to check that everything was correct or split the bill among my friends. Sent back a sandwich with short rib on it because it was truly drowning in sauce and the bottom bread was wet. Their excuse was I should have had the coleslaw, which I think would have also been wet, but I don't like that and asked for my sandwich without it. The indoor seating was dim (with dark leather seats, chandeliers), spacious and clean.
