    Portobello Mushroom with Salmon

On the way to Solvang for my birthday weekend excursion , we decided to stop for lunch. My wonderful sister suggested we stop at this place. I am so glad we did. The brussel sprouts were to die for. You must get them when stop in. The blackberry pecan salad was on point. I could've just had those two menu items and been satisfied. The service was impeccable; very friendly and made wonderful suggestions.

We took a road trip to Santa Barbara and after we went to the Douglas Family Preserve, we had lunch at this incredible restaurant ... the waitstaff was lovely... Roasted artichoke was beyond delicious... Cobb salads, Caesar Salad with chicken ... the chicken was so tasty with its grillmarks... The best French Fries! The views on this beautiful day of the docked boats, mountains in the background and the ocean took our breaths away! Highly recommended and the parking is easy ! It is pricey, but totally worth every dollar for this once in a lifetime view!

We are here since we were in area after Fiesta parade. Since we were in area, we decided to eat here and maybe sample live sea urchins in the pier. Anchor Rose is a restaurant sitting on second floor of the Maritime Museum. Raw oyster were excellent, fresh and clean. Steamer clams were good, needs more butter. Fish and chips were aaverage. Caesar salad was good, needs more parmesan. Service was a little slow. Overall 3 stars out of 5 star.

My bf and I went sailing to Santa Barbara from Ventura and stayed one night at the gust slip in Santa Barbara harbor. When we got there, we were so hungry because we hadn't eaten since the night before. We found and tried this restaurant because it's at the harbor and we didn't want to walk around to find a place to eat. Strangely We go to the harbor very often but I don't know why we had never tried here before. First, we liked the nice harbor view from the outside terrace table. I uploaded the video on my YouTube channel and if you want, please watch it from 11:11 on the following link. https://youtu.be/E8IfUGVkuiY?si=piewJglDX8EdcC_w We ordered a Clam chowder, Nachos, Chips and Guacamole, and seafood pasta. Everything was delicious. Secondly, the service was really good. All stuffs were nice and friendly. When we have a chance, we would like to try other dishes. There is the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum so it would be nice to stop by there after meal. I'm not sure but I don't think the restaurant has parking but you can park at the public parking near the restaurant.

The views are amazing! The hostess was so sweet and helpful. We had the perfect table. Our waiter was on it. The food came out pretty fast & hot. Now for the drawback. The seabass that my bf ordered didn't look like seabass the color was off and it was not moist. I don't play about fish especially when we're right by the water in SB. I had to convince my bf to send it back. I told our waiter we didn't like it and he said "it's already been made". Gee really? He told his manager and he came back to get what we wanted. The ahi was better. My mushroom tacos were amazing. The food needs to be more consistent and staff needs to know how to approach situations that arise in a professional manner.

    The view from our table!

The food has really gone downhill since last year. The fish & chips were very greasy, the seafood pasta had hair in it and the salmon tasted awful. Sad experience.

Enjoyed a nice dinner here at sunset. Being up on the roof top was nice to look over the marina. Surprised to get a table fairly easily on a Friday night. Appears they have lots of seating Overall the service was great although it was a bit intrusive that once we were done and the plates were cleared that they actually came and wiped down the table and set it up for next guests while we were still sitting there. The food was of high quality. I got the fish and chips and my wife got the sea scallops. Portions were decent, prices were fair. Glad we went and good choice if you are down in the harbor area.

We were in the Sante Barbara for a few days and decided to have lunch at The Anchor Rose which I later found out that this restaurant has change names four other times, they're located in the Maritime Museum building, the hostess checked in downstairs then we had to walk up or take the stairs up to the restaurant. We were seated overlooking the harbor, btw is the very best part about visiting this place, plus we also waited about 10 to 15 mins. before the waiter came to our table, he brought only one glass of water, about 10 mins. went by I literally got up and found our waiter, he stater to me he would be there after he take care of another table, I asked another staff worker for the water. We ordered the classic caesar salad, which was just OK, the fish & chips the fish was well over cooked, the tacos de pescado which also was just OK and lastly a mojito this wea pretty good, we decided to get dessert somewhere else. I will not be returning here.

Sea Bass with a side of fries

Not great, but not bad, just...there. In all honesty, this could've been a 4 star review, but the place was severely understaffed for lunch on a Saturday. All were friendly and polite, but you know it's gonna be rough when it takes 10 min for your water to come out. Expected to be in and out within 40 minutes, was there for almost an hour and a half. My partner and I were not impressed by the food, but it also wasn't inedible - we've just had better. We got the ceviche as an appetizer, then the sea bass and shrimp sandwich as our meals, both with a side of fries. The chips for the ceviche were both crunchy and stale at the same time, and while the ceviche itself tasted alright, I felt that everything could have been minced smaller to better fit on the chip and that it was an expensive appetizer. It cost more than the shrimp sandwich! Shrimp sandwich was decent and had good size shrimps, one piece still had shell though. The sea bass was the most disappointing since as you can see from the picture, the plate was half fries. The mango apple salsa on top of the fish was pretty tasty though, and really, the fries were bomb; but if fish is supposed to be the star, I expect it to actually BE the star. Seating itself seemed flexible and nice, and the restaurant has a view of the wharf, but the patio is only half covered. We took a seat in the Sun because we were really hungry; but regretted it when the breeze stopped. I got sunburnt on my shoulders. Come prepared with hats and sunscreen, and still tip your server because they were clearly working hard.

    Chicken sandwich - very mid

Very mediocre. Service was not good, our waiter stopped by our table once, we asked for water refills and he never came back, we had to grab some other random employee. He also wouldn't split the check the way we wanted, now if there was a policy about this it we would have been chill, but it just seems like he didn't want to. I got the chicken sandwich, veryyyy mid. Had some weird kind of taste to it, not sure if it was the lettuce or micro greens. Wasn't a fan. The fries were good, I'll give them that much. Husband got the Paella Del Mar and he said it wasn't very good, over salted, lack of depth of flavor, on the plus side there was a good amount of food. Only saving grace was the coconut mojito was good. Overall would skip.

Had a pretty nice meal here. Was a little chilly but the staff had just turned on all the heat lamps. It warmed up and was fine. Live band was great and was a beautiful sunset. Food was good. Started with an artichoke. Seafood pasta was delicious (I added Spice). Chicken was great also. Their happy hour menu looks like it's worth a try and will return soon.

I originally found out about this hidden treasure on Instagram (@glasshousecocktails). After Covid-19 hit, businesses had to be inventive and crafty on how to continue to provide their skills outside of interior spaces for small groups. Backyard Bistros is a mobile Mercedez-Benz van that has table seating for up to four people with cocktails/beer/wine, paired with a gorgeous charcuterie board. I chose to reserve the van for my partner's birthday with another fellow couple. We decided to have our private experience on Stearns Wharf, however, you can choose the destination of your choice. While the backdoors of the van are open, you take advantage of a Bluetooth-capable Bose Speaker and additional booze for purchase, juxtaposed with a spectacular ocean+mountain view. The van is decked out with plants, pillows, a table, ceiling lights, and fun decor similar to a mobile dining Air BnB. The charcuterie board featured three kinds of cheese, strawberries, blueberries, pistachios, candied ginger, dried apricots, and gorgeous flowers with herbs. The two pre-mixed 16-ounce cocktails we decided upon in advance were Heat of Passion (habanero-infused tequila, passionfruit, lime and simple syrup--quite a tasty spicy kick) and Prickly Pear Cocktail (mezcal [we subbed mezcal for vodka], prickly pear, lime and simple syrup--perfect for a hot summer day). This was the ideal, relaxed time on a summer evening as the sun sets behind the Santa Ynez mountains. I brought along a set of cards to play, in between saying "hello" to curious tourists walking by before dinner downtown. Thank you Cecily and Allie for helping me plan this evening delight!

I had requested to sit next to him in my comments, when we got there the hostess immediately acknowledged it and asked if we were okay sitting on a love seat with a small table in front of us. Another hostess brought us to the rooftop right away and sat us in the loveseat spot. Honestly one of the best seats if they just had a slightly bigger table. But that's only because we order a lot of food, luckily there was a big side thing and I could put my stuff there and empty dishes! We had a cotton candy sunset so I couldn't have asked for a better spot, hostess was very sweet in accommodating us the best we could! I understand needing to sit two people at two tops and not at four tops. Service - our server, Aubrey(?), very sweet she looks like Sansa from GOT. Loved her sweet energy and helping us decide on what we wanted. She never rushed us and came to check on us a healthy amount! Other people came to refill waters and take dishes away. It was kind of funny because we would kind of whisper to each other like where's our hot sake or like we need some more water and it's like they had a microphone at our table and it would literally appear a second later hahaha that was awesome! Service was on point. Food - shishito peppers: so so good. That yuzu lemon flavor with the char .. amazing. I wish every shishito pepper was spicy but when you do find a spicy one, so tasty! Firecracker shrimp - bf and I appreciated the crispness, but idk why we thought it would be spicy haha it was good with both sauces! It's I think a spicy mayo and tamarind sauce. They put both on the side for you to try separately and then together. We both liked the sauces together! The shrimp was very crispy and we really loved that. Toro/seared salmon belly sushi - melt in your mouth, salmon wasn't fishy, can't complain! Crouching tiger roll - it was delicious and honestly loved how perfectly equal the pieces were.. I hate the "butts" but there were not butts! Crazy! Loved it but there was a slight need for lemon or something to cut the heaviness but other that very good Ribeye - delicious! Perfect amount to share between my bf and I, was a little more medium rare than medium but it was good for us to take home and cook a lil more! Overall amazing experience, great staff and delicious food!

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.
