Great energy from the owners! They want you to eat here & are glad to serve you! The food is good & priced right. I typically get breakfast tacos, but I have been here for lunch as well. The owner will make meat loaf on certain days, it is awesome! Also try the enchiladas! read more

The food here is so good. I eat here whenever I am on that side of town and I use them for catering. I love that the restaurant owner is always present making sure all is perfect, not too many owners stay on site anymore. I had the Linda Special on Thursday and it rocked. Met my friend Sylvia for lunch. She had a big red in a foam cup with lots of ice. Looked so refreshing! She ordered the lunch special of chicken mole. It looked so good and she gave me a taste. Good old-fashioned Tex-Mex breakfast in San Antonio Not in the best area but the food is pretty darned good. The salsa is nice and hot (both in spiciness and temperature). Barbacoa and Huevos Rancheros were both delicious. Tortillas are home made and the prices are really reasonable. Definitely coming back here when we visit San Antonio again. read more

The food is excellent, the service is great, but I ordered a Mexican lunch plate for $9.99 and tea for $3. The plate is for 2 enchiladas and a crispy taco. I wanted the taco to be replaced with a puffy taco. I got charged $3.99 extra for replacing the taco. My total was $21 (including $3 tip), for lunch. I didn't even get the crispy taco I paid for. read more

This establishment violated my civil liberty and constitutional right to equal access to public accommodation (public parking) by essentially "politely" asking me to relocate my vehicle "to the back of the bus" if you will. As an African American retired US Army Veteran, I arrived 30-45 minutes prior to the next-door establishment I was planning to patron. While leisurely awaiting, a staff member of Arizona Cafe asked me to relocate further away from the restaurant with no clear reason. I went inside seeking clarification but received none other than "Im just asking you to move your vehicle further away" even though there's no designated parking, no rhyme or reason, to which I simply walked next door to shop as planned. I returned to two police patrol vehicles at my vehicle with claims of criminal trespassing! The parking spot I was parked in wasn't even in front of Arizona Cafe! Once again however, regardless of clear intent and proof of purchase (a paying customer), SAPD violated my right to equal access to public accommodation without discrimination (public parking) by ensuring I left the area and did not leave until I did because I'm a minority of course being reported by a middle aged caucasian and that's all that's needed here in Texas apparently. I was on my way to Luby's, but to my disappointment they were closed down. Saw Arizona Cafe has 4.5 stars and decided to stop by. The food was delicious, but the service I received was exceptional. Alright so, just another taco place right? Wrong. Me and my family have come here for years and we practically have lunch the with the owners when were here. This place is great and the flour tortillas are awesome and homemade. This place loses points for non-homemade corn tortillas and minor points for saying that Chicago's Mexican food is mediocre. Apples to oranges if you ask me. Their caldo's are excellent, rice is flavorful, smae goes for the beans. If you want tacos get tacos or try the Caldo de pollo it's always fresh. Is in love with their huevos rancheros for breakfast. My only complaint is that they could put a little more beans and potatoes on the plate. Other than that the tortillas are excellent! The waitresses are always nice, but the catch is you have to be there early or not they get really busy. I have yet to try out their baked desserts. Me and my husband live by brooks city base and dont mind the small trip just to eat arizonas tacos. First we have NEVER had a rude or discourteous waitress. Been eating here for years and not once can i honestly complain about service. We order our food and doesnt usually take long. And yes its fresh as well. Also their tortillas are delicious, never had alot if fat in my carne guisada like with some other places, their tacos are stuffed. Love that they put just enough in them.
