Had breakfast here this morning hadn't been here in 5 years so prices went up but overall still excellent homemade food and fresh made tortillas. Every time I come to San Antonio I come here to eat. Service is excellent too.

Yummy, a little of everything , ham, bacon, country sausage, pork patties, eggs, potatoes and beans great price!

Great place to stop for breakfast! Haven't been disappointed, we will be back...more to try

What an amazing hidden gem. Linda and here crew have been cranking out amazing fresh and quality food for over 25 years! After speaking with her during lunch it became evident that she is the soul of the restaurant. The food was amazing: queso, steak asada and amazing gorditas! Let's show her some military love and get in there and lift them up. Finally, the restaurant was very clean and even my OCD buddy was impressed.

Met my friend Sylvia for lunch. She had a big red in a foam cup with lots of ice. Looked so refreshing! She ordered the lunch special of chicken mole. It looked so good and she gave me a taste. Delicious! She also got potato salad that came with the plate. That was also delicious! I ordered coffee. I had the Arizona Grand a canyon breakfast plate. It was so good. Service is efficient and friendly.

    Linda's Plate. Delicious

Everything is real good. Enchiladas and Carne Guisada are delicious everything made fresh.

    Great food

Yelp steered me right and brought me here on a Thursday morning. Walking in I wasn't sure if this was only a coffee/tea spot or if they sold cocktails and beers too. The bar area and decor lends itself to look like an old bar and it has great vibes! No beer or cocktails here but they do have a seemingly delicious menu! We didn't eat anything while we were here because we had breakfast prior to coming in. The menu had an array of offerings and sandwiches that I could see myself coming back and trying in the future. I ordered a Mexican Mocha and my mom had a cold brew. Service was fast and friendly. We found a nice spot close to the windows and I was able to look around at all the relics around and displayed at the front entrance. After we got our drinks, one of the owners or managers, walked around offering delicious slices of lemon frost cake. I was so appreciative that this just made our delicious coffee even better! I saw many students and other folks reading and studying while we were here. The atmosphere lends itself to do so too as it is chill, quiet, and quaint. I will definitely be back again. This spot was super unique and I really love their smart branding and logos/brand identity.

Recommend: Yes…read more After visiting Karolinas, I was in the mood for some coffee and a quiet spot to read, and I happened upon San Antonio Gold--so glad I did! At first, from the outside, I thought I was walking into a barbershop because of the door, but stepping inside was a fun surprise. The space is really unique--almost like a mini indoor shopping mall. The coffee shop is right at the front, but as you walk further back, there's a barbershop and a few other small shops to explore. Despite all that, it still has a chill, relaxed vibe. Plenty of seating and big windows make it perfect for hanging out with a book. I ordered the Holiday Inn Cambodia coffee, and it was fantastic. the service was great. Barista gave me a few recommendations. I'll definitely be back--this is a great spot to unwind, read, or just get out of the house for a little while. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

He's always answered my questions, no matter how silly or inane they might be and has readily offered perspective on different types of coffee or methods to make. I'll forever be grateful for that! Now onto Gold, I was a bit bummed when he wasn't at the trailer but happy he opened up his own shop and started visiting regularly. From its humble beginnings of a few bar stools, limited menu, and a small space to the wide open space that is Gold today, the constants have been killer coffee, awesome service, and great convo if it's not a mad rush. From standard drip to espresso to imaginative inventions, the coffee is top notch. If you're hankering for something different, talk to them a they will take care of you. Staff has always been awesome and they definitely know what they're doing. I once asked about chemex ratios and was given an on the spot class. If you don't like good coffee, good service or a solid place to chill, then this may not be your place. Also, they let me bring my doggo, Pancho, in, what's not to love?!

I sat near the wall with old artwork that has been changed to go along with the CBD type drinks they sell. I laughed at the "We can do it" painting changed to "We can Dab it!" , as well as the traditional "Have a coke" pic changed to "Have a toke." Very clever. The lady at the register wasn't super friendly. I wouldn't say mean just indifferent or possibly sleepy. I ended up with a chagaccino (love the benefits of wild foraged chaga) and some added CBD. The drink was a bit pricey. But to be expected when doing healthier type drinks. They have several enhancers like CBD, delta, kava, Kratom, or mushrooms for an extra charge. I liked the chill vibe and couch area in the back. Parking here is very rough. Infact, this is my third try since there was no parking the first two times I tried, and I didn't feel comfortable parking infornt of houses nearby. Third time's a charm. They were playing some great 90s to early 2000s jams. Some Eminem, Backstreet, and some Britney b@#$%! This is one of those spots I will have to come to early on my days off. Overall, pretty decent atmosphere and drinks with room for some growth.
