A few weeks ago it was suggested that I might try sourdough bread as an alternative, so I searched for a bakery that makes it and came up with The Artisan Bite and have been very happy about it ever since. I have a friend who makes his own sourdough bread, but said it is a lot of trouble and local grocers and supermarkets don't actually sell quality sourdough, so I brought him a loaf and he approves. I also buy delicious coconut chocolate muffins there. The service has been instantaneous every time I arrived and I am very happy to have discovered them.

We loved this place! Very cute spot. It is small but has indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as you come in you're able to place your order with the cashier which is very helpful. There is a vast selection of pastries which are all fresh. It was hard to choose from! We ended up ordering coffee which was perfect! (Not too weak which we appreciate). To eat we got the ham and cheese pastelito and manchego tapenade which were both delicious and fresh! To end we got the freshly made cinnamon roll which again was great! You have so many options to pick from and breads that we will be coming back to try more!

Everything I try to visit this place it was always closed. Today I finally gor it open and got a chance to try something. I had the carrot cake and it was delicious. It was fresh moist and not too sweet which I loved. The icing was lite and had just enough sugar. My mom at the pastelitos which were good as well. The only thing I would reccomended is to ask them to heat it up. We couldn't eat it in the car because it was cold. Once we got home and ate it it was good. I will try it again maybe eat the items in the store that is meant to be heated. Otherwise everything looked great.

I really like this bakery for its coziness and quiet atmosphere. The pastries and loaves are especially well-baked and flavorful as well as varied across different styles. I also like this bakery because it's independent, not part of a chain. I've always been happy with the service and the food. The only thing I've had so far that has missed the mark was the manchego and tapenade sandwich. The sandwich was hot, the bread was beautifully crunchy and the cheese was a great choice. However, the tapenade was pretty much non-existent, which is fine but when you expect it and don't get it, it's a little disappointing. Despite that, I always enjoy coming here and ordering something new. Definitely worth a visit!

Having lived in Miami Beach for a few years and spoiled with the great bakeries they have there, I was hoping to find an artisan bakery with quality products. I purchased an Olive loaf and a blueberry danish.... They were amazing! We will certainly be back!

If you're in the area and are want some fresh baked goods, this place is it. They have regular baked delicious looking goods, and I heard they taste delicious as well. For me, I was most excited about the vegan and gluten-free selections, like quiche, muffins, cookies, mini apple cake and steel cut oats bread. I took one of each home to taste later and they sliced up the bread for you also. Cappuccino was really good but almond croissant not so much, neither fresh nor flaky. This is a cute little place and the barrista was very nice. If you are craving a good cup of coffee this is an option but based on my experience with the croissant im not so sure about their pastries. I visited at 1:00pm, maybe early in the morning their baked goods tastes better. Also they have soy, out almond and whole milk but not 2% or skim milk options.

Everything is absolutely delicious at this cute, quaint, little bakery! As we get older, instead of bar hopping, my friends and I go bakery hopping and the Artisan Bite is our hidden treasure! We have had the pastries, various loaves of bread, and even the coffee is so tasty! We are definitely regulars here and would recommend to anyone in the area who loves bread and pastries! 5/5 stars! The place is a cozy, small boutique coffee stop that caters to healthier options and quality coffee blends. If you are vegan or looking for a keto-friendly option this is a wonderful stop. It doesn't offer the standard refrigerated and some what stale foods in most mainstream places. I purchased some coffee and was instantly impressed at the taste. I was also told that the owner takes six types of coffee to make the blend that he uses. I found this to be rather refreshing and something special. The coconut muffin I tasted was decadent and delicious. If I am in the area again I will be sure to return. read more

I was really surprised that the 5-star ratings didn't match the food quality we at all. I am going to stay that my iced almond milk latte was very nice. But my guava muffin and almond croissant were very dry. For some reason, all the pastries had almost like a plastic aftertaste that completely ruined the taste of it. I just don't think it was worth purchasing any of the pastries. read more

Holy yumtastic excellence machine of all things to be eaten. What a fantastic little bake shop. Great coffee, amazing grilled sandwiches, and croissants of both the standard and almond variety!!!! This place is a little too small for a sit down and coffee. It is nice that they have vegan options. We sampled a few of the items. The pastelito had raw dough in it. It was delicious though I should say. Additionally the manchego sandwich was probably the best thing we tasted. The coffee was amazing. Not terrifically impressed with the cinnamon roll, it was served cold and it was nothing special. The quiche also had raw dough in it. The vegan muffin chocolate chip was fantastic. Overall I thought the service was good. I did not get the same warm inspiring feeling as I get it other top level coffee shops/bakeries. read more

Y'all this place is the real deal. Came here on Saturday for a quick bite since it is right around the corner of our house and we wanted a sandwich. It is a little spot in Pines where the baker makes everything himself from scratch. Bread, pastries, spreads... all fresh and made in house. Yes, y'all read that correctly fresh daily from scratch. It was our first time so he basically explained what everything was and helped us pick out a sandwich. My boyfriend ordered one with prosciutto and I ordered one with manchego cheese and they suggested adding an olive spread to it. I also could not pass up on ordering a croissant since they looked perfectly flaky and buttery. The sandwiches were really good and the croissant was perfect. You can taste that everything is fresh. We also took home their sundried tomato spread that they make in house and we love it! They also sell the olive spread and a pesto as well. They offer gluten free items and vegan too. We did not have time to try anything sweet, but we will be returning to try something new very soon! read more

My usual coffee stop was a bit too crowded. Running a bit late I decided to go across the street to the Artisan Bite. Inside is a small space consisting of two employees preparing fresh coffee and baked goods. It smelled heavenly. All the pastries looked awesome. I ordered a double latte to go. Found this cute little place through yelp and it's around the corner from my house. Very clean and welcoming. The food was great and the best coffee I've ever had. They make their own coffee blend onsite which is cool. I believe I was speaking to the owner who told me about their coffee. My husband and I both had the ham cachitos with a latte followed by a coconut muffin which was amazing. Not too sweet which I loved but the right amount of sweetness to it if it makes any sense. Finally a gluten-free friendly bakery I can trust! I always have nothing but positive experiences each time I come here, and it's so nice to have a wide variety of options to choose from, and not just one or two GF items. This place is incredible! Loved it! Food and coffee are amazing! There are regular and plenty of gluten free vegan options. The gluten free bread has incredible texture that doesn't taste like typical gluten free. Per my request he made me a sandwich from part of the gluten free bread I purchased. My brother was also quite happy with the sandwich he ate on wheat bread. The owner is really nice and helpful. He explained that he has a separate section of the kitchen for the non gluten food from the gluten free food to prevent cross contamination. I'm looking forward to trying out the non dairy pesto I purchased. He also offers gluten free vegan baked goods, quiches, gluten free breads, wheat breads, sandwiches, and latte made from your choice of milk. I would definitely return! read more

The Artisan Bite is a wonderful little oasis in a desert of bland suburban chains. The proprietor is super friendly and attentive, taking care to make a perfect latte, wrap up a selection of pastries, or slice up a lovely load of Old Timer sour dough. The croissants are very flaky and buttery, and the palmiers are wonderful! We also like the pistachio torsade and the epi baguette. Since the pandemic began. I've been able to order and pay ahead to limit my time in the shop. My only complaint is that they aren't open on Sundays when my croissant craving is at its strongest... oh well! read more

Amazing vagan bakery and lets not even began on the fresh coffee they make it is hidden in the plaza where there is an aldi and walgreens. I was very happy with their gluten free options. They have little Bundt cakes that are the perfect size to share. We had an apple and a cinnamon one. They were both most and delicious with the apple being a bit cloyingly sweet. We also purchased some bite size gluten free cookies that were perfect with coffee. I was so disappointed to learn they don't offer WiFi for their guests. For those of us who work remotely in the Pines area- finding an amazing coffee shop to work from in this neck of the woods is so rare. I made the drive out, laptop in tow, expecting to have a delicious coffee and a productive day. Unfortunately, I had to take my coffee to go and to the local library. Offering this simple service would go a long way in this adorable little place. Coffee was delicious, and the almond cake was good too. Sad I couldn't hang around and enjoy longer. read more

The food is excellent, however, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They are in such hurry that even when you're admiring their baked goods to see what you want to order you can feel their impatience by their looks and their gestures. Wow! I was driving by and wanted to have coffee and a little pastry. I ended up leaving after buying a cappuccino, an americano, a sandwich, a coconut muffin, some olive bread, a jar of their basil pesto AND a jar of their Kalamata olive spread. Cappuccino was PERFECTION, the muffin was delicious and so was the sandwich. Max talked to me about the passion he puts in every single detail of his work. We need more independently-own places like The Artisan Bite. Do yourself a favor, don't go to Starbucks if you're in the area, come and have some awesome coffee... and support your local business! read more

Found this hidden gem on the way home and decided to stop in- the owner was there and was very friendly. I opted for the "green" quiche, the apple cake, the carrot/beet muffins, pineapple and coconut muffins. I was there later in the day around 4 and they had already sold out of bread or some of that would have come home with me as well. The quiche was awesome. The Apple cake had maple syrup and was super yummy and moist. All of the muffins were good but the pineapple was my favorite. The owner even gave me free mini almond cookies to try and those were delish as well. Will definitely be returning to try the almond cake and bread :) read more

It was our first time here... I had a macadamia milk latte, my daughter had a Nutella croissant, and a cachito. I was hoping to try the almond croissants but apparently they run out very quickly on Saturday mornings. I had the almond cake instead which I learned was a family recipe. It is very very good. My daughter describes the cachito as the best she's ever had, and the croissant she said was as good as the ones in Paris. I agree!!! Glad we tried this place. Will be back. read more

Established in 2016.

Max first opened The Artisan Bite as an avenue to bake tasty treats for his kids who had allergies. Once he developed his recipes, he wanted to share them with the neighborhood. Max wants all parents and friends with food allergies to feel at home at his place, proving that great food doesn't have to be limited to traditional ingredients.

Meet the Business Owner: Max P.

Max is compassionate in his cooking, and loves the challenge of using non-traditional ingredients to accommodate different food allergies. He leads with kindness and an open heart, and hopes to share his love of baking with anyone who walks through his doors.

We decided to go all-in and bought four pastries to sample: Almond Croissant: This one was a treat. The croissant had that lovely flakiness, and the filling was delicious. Our only wish was for a bit more filling to savor. Egg and Cheese Pocket: Oh, this was a superstar! Easily the best thing we tried. A pro tip for fellow visitors - ask them to heat it up, and you'll maximize the flavor explosion. Spinach Pastelito: A close second in our favorites list. It was packed with spinach and a medley of flavors. A solid choice for the veggie lovers. Caprese Galette: Our third favorite, but still quite good. Couldn't come in for just a cachito and pay because of a minimum required charge for card. Do people still carry cash on them? I never do. So leaving without being able to support the business by trying them out. Taking my simple breakfast want across the street. I respect business policies.
