A few weeks ago it was suggested that I might try sourdough bread as an alternative, so I searched for a bakery that makes it and came up with The Artisan Bite and have been very happy about it ever since. I have a friend who makes his own sourdough bread, but said it is a lot of trouble and local grocers and supermarkets don't actually sell quality sourdough, so I brought him a loaf and he approves. I also buy delicious coconut chocolate muffins there. The service has been instantaneous every time I arrived and I am very happy to have discovered them.

We loved this place! Very cute spot. It is small but has indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as you come in you're able to place your order with the cashier which is very helpful. There is a vast selection of pastries which are all fresh. It was hard to choose from! We ended up ordering coffee which was perfect! (Not too weak which we appreciate). To eat we got the ham and cheese pastelito and manchego tapenade which were both delicious and fresh! To end we got the freshly made cinnamon roll which again was great! You have so many options to pick from and breads that we will be coming back to try more!

Everything I try to visit this place it was always closed. Today I finally gor it open and got a chance to try something. I had the carrot cake and it was delicious. It was fresh moist and not too sweet which I loved. The icing was lite and had just enough sugar. My mom at the pastelitos which were good as well. The only thing I would reccomended is to ask them to heat it up. We couldn't eat it in the car because it was cold. Once we got home and ate it it was good. I will try it again maybe eat the items in the store that is meant to be heated. Otherwise everything looked great.

I really like this bakery for its coziness and quiet atmosphere. The pastries and loaves are especially well-baked and flavorful as well as varied across different styles. I also like this bakery because it's independent, not part of a chain. I've always been happy with the service and the food. The only thing I've had so far that has missed the mark was the manchego and tapenade sandwich. The sandwich was hot, the bread was beautifully crunchy and the cheese was a great choice. However, the tapenade was pretty much non-existent, which is fine but when you expect it and don't get it, it's a little disappointing. Despite that, I always enjoy coming here and ordering something new. Definitely worth a visit!

Having lived in Miami Beach for a few years and spoiled with the great bakeries they have there, I was hoping to find an artisan bakery with quality products. I purchased an Olive loaf and a blueberry danish.... They were amazing! We will certainly be back!

If you're in the area and are want some fresh baked goods, this place is it. They have regular baked delicious looking goods, and I heard they taste delicious as well. For me, I was most excited about the vegan and gluten-free selections, like quiche, muffins, cookies, mini apple cake and steel cut oats bread. I took one of each home to taste later and they sliced up the bread for you also. Cappuccino was really good but almond croissant not so much, neither fresh nor flaky. This is a cute little place and the barrista was very nice. If you are craving a good cup of coffee this is an option but based on my experience with the croissant im not so sure about their pastries. I visited at 1:00pm, maybe early in the morning their baked goods tastes better. Also they have soy, out almond and whole milk but not 2% or skim milk options.

Everything is absolutely delicious at this cute, quaint, little bakery! As we get older, instead of bar hopping, my friends and I go bakery hopping and the Artisan Bite is our hidden treasure! We have had the pastries, various loaves of bread, and even the coffee is so tasty! We are definitely regulars here and would recommend to anyone in the area who loves bread and pastries! 5/5 stars! For someone who has so many food restriction due to health issues, the Artisan Bite is a game changer. Max makes the best gluten-free bread that's real, made fresh everyday and taste like delicious bread! (For those of you who have to eat or have tried gluten-free bread you understand what I mean) But it doesn't stop at bread, Max makes delicious cakes and muffins, all gluten-free and a lot of them dairy free as well. Even if you can eat dairy or gluten, it's worth a visit. Everything is SO good and Max is awesome! read more

I visit the Artisan Bite for gluten free treats. I also order the sour-dough (not gf) for my brother. My expectations were exceeded by the delicious choices. Max is a passionate and talented Baker. Ask why he chooses arugula instead of spinach in his quiche. But most importantly order a whole quiche to take home to the family! They are the best I've ever tasted. I'be been here quite a few times and there are some things that I really like and there are some that I don't. To start their drip coffee is nice and strong just like I like it. The baguettes and the olive loaves are also very good. I've tried the raisin bread and while it's good I find that all the raisins settle to the bottom making it too sweet. Their almond croissants are also quite good, but the sweet rolls available during the weekend are extremely sweet for my taste. I've never tried the sandwiches only because they are pre-made and just don't look appetizing, but if made to order I definitely would. read more

Read the reviews, so decided to try. Clean little place, with variety of baked goods and bread. So....decided to try the loaf of bread..had it sliced, then returned home. Well, the bread was far from fresh...the crust so hard it was difficult to bite, and overall the bread was dried out and "brittle". If I did not live so far away, I would have returned it immediately. This loaf must have been sitting on the rack for a good while. Very disappointed. The other baked goods may be fresh, but not this loaf of bread. read more

I preordered 6 quiches for a business meeting. And they flew. They were delicious. Well packaged. Tied up with a bow. I love the attention to detail. The service was wonderful. Hidden gem in Pembroke Pines that I just found out about! All made from scratch croissants, muffins, breads, etc. Gluten free options in abundance! Yummy coffee to top it off! If you blink you'll drive past it so don't blink and stop in! I had the Pumpkin Cranberry Muffin- no sugar and it was delish! Next time the quiche with arugula and Gorgonzola cheese! I was looking for a good cup of coffee, I can be a little picky. The day before I tried another shop across the street and was a bit disappointed. So I tried the Artisan Bite and it hit the spot. I only wish that they were able to make a Dirty Chai and of course not made with a syrup. This may be my favorite coffee shop, second to Panther Coffee. read more

I just stopped in to check this place out and so far I love it! The owner was really nice and explained all of the ingredients in the breads and the process to make them. There is a whole grain bread, which is why I went and also gluten free and vegan options. So far I tasted the almond cake which is absolutely delicious and two of the breads. One bread was 30% whole wheat and it was perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. I also purchased and tasted a gluten free bread, made with steel cut oats and rice flour. I think I like the gluten free bread better! I still have muffins to try - I bought guava, coconut and double chocolate and some almond cookies. Everything is made in house, family recipes, no sugar and simple. There are very few ingredients in everything. Give it a try! read more

I was so busy shoving the most delicious quiches in my mouth that I forgot to take a picture of all the yummy goodness!! My husband heard of this place opening in our suburban neighborhood and we just had to try it (coming from Miami, artisan bakeries are a thing of the past in our new Broward community) and it didn't disappoint. All the goods are baked fresh (the sourdough had the crispy outside and soft inside that reminded us of that bread scene from "Ratatouille"). But the quiches are where it's at, my friends! We took home a slice of each one (there are 3 in total) and each one was its own slice of cheesy flavorful heaven. My favorite was the arugula with Parmesan and Gorgonzola. We toasted it for 6 minutes in the toaster oven (as instructed by Max, the baker and owner) and the slightly sweet crush was perfectly warm against the savory quiche filling. I cannot praise them enough! The carmelized onion quiche had a rich flavor that tasted a bit like it was sautéed in white wine and the bacon and cheese quiche was a beautiful homage to the homemade quiches we know so well (but better!) We also got the triple chocolate muffin, cinnamon apple muffin and coconut muffin along with the apple cake (yes, we may have gone overboard). The ingredients are mostly organic and you can taste its quality. They aren't overly sweet (so if you're going for that conventional sweet treat that leaves you feeling guilty, this isn't the place) and should be warmed up a bit before indulging. If you find yourself in the area, get a cup of individually made coffee and a slice of quiche and an apple cake. You'll be ecstatic that you did! And your belly will thank you too. read more

This place is great. Unfortunately the menu is somewhat limited for now but hopefully as business grows there will be more creations to come. We had a sandwich and some coffee and it was great. Max (owner) is very passionate about his products and it's interesting to listen and learn about everything that goes into the bread. We bought a loaf of cinnamon raisin to go and can't wait to try it. I hope to see more small businesses like this pop up where the employees are passionate about the food. read more

This place is awesome. The coffee is great with many options for dairy free. The bread is awesome no matter which one you choose, and I'm an expert on that. The muffins are really nice and the flavors are very unique making it a very exclusive placeTo pick up a light dinner, Or make a very sophisticated breakfast at home for family and friends. If you have not stopped by your missing out it is worth the trip. The only downside is that it is primarily a to go place with very little space for sitting. But definitely worth it. read more

AN ABSOLUTE MUST!! This is a small spot run by a baker who is incredibly passionate about his craft and you will taste that passion in every bite. His first location in the Yellow Green market in Hollywood has been a success and after sampling various baked goods today, I can honestly say that we are very lucky that he has decided to open a second location in his own neighborhood, West Pines... My husband and I were running errands this morning and saw the small banner on Pines Blvd. announcing that this bakery was now open (they have literally been open a week and a half), so we decided to give it a try. We each ordered a latte (hubby had a double), shared a piece of carmelized onion quiche, and my husband had a pecan muffin. Everything was so delicious! After a nice chat with the owner/baker Max, we bought a loaf of sourdough bread and a piece of almond cake for later (the almond cake recipe has been in his family for a century!). The sourdough had a perfect thick crust and soft center and the almond cake (a small Bundt cake drizzled with icing) was moist, flavorful, and slightly sweet. Amazing! Max does not cut corners. He doesn't buy almond flour for his cake; he grinds the almonds himself because he understands that every step in the process of creating food is critical to the outcome. He has gluten free items and bread as well as a variety of muffins, vegan options, and other treats. Everything is made simply with quality ingredients and like I said before, passion. Please go out and support that in our neighborhood; we need more local artisans and restaurants like this in West Pines! read more

AMAZING! I never write reviews but I need everyone to know how good this place is. If you are looking for real hand crafted high quality baked goods, look no further. The bread here is like that I've previously only been able to find in Europe. Max, the owner, makes everything himself from scratch and is a master of his craft. He is so kind and throws in free goodies every time I stop by which is now almost everyday. The chocolate hazelnut muffin is out of this world! They're all wonderful but I highly recommend that one, it's my favorite. With vegan and gluten free options, coffee, cakes, and more this is the perfect little place to stop in and delight yourself to some delicious artisan treats. We need more places like this in Pembroke Pines! Check this place out next time you're in the area and support a great local business! read more

Always fresh and always delicious! Me and my wife stopped by one morning to check this bakery out. We heard and read reviews that speak very highly of this bakery. They are all correct. Fresh backed breads, muffins, croissants, quiche and many more delicious items. Oh and did I mention coffee? We had a very enjoyable experience our first visit. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgeable. You may even get a lesson on breads if you interested and ask. I highly recommend this bakery. read more

I took my wife here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The unassuming exterior and blocky red letters that greet you are almost deceptive; this place, and every bite we ate there, was fantastic. The first thing you notice upon entering is the aroma. Really. Take a moment. Inhale. The owner greeted us and was friendly and welcoming. He took obvious pride in his work and took time to explain his offerings in detail. He also kept a very clean shop. We started the arugula and gorgonzola quiche. It had a delicious mix of flavors overlaid with perfectly finished cheese and a wonderfully flaky crust. Next we had a sandwich with 1 year aged manchego cheese and olive tapenade on a artisan baguette. It's hard to find a good olive tapenade sandwich that isn't overpowering in some way, but this one had great balance. We finished our breakfast with a pear croissant and an almond croissant, which were perfectly chewy, crispy, buttery, and sweet all at once My wife had a decaf latte and I had French press coffee, which were also well made and high quality. Raising kids with allergies isn't easy, and believe us -- we've been there. It can be hard to find replacement foods that are still healthy, let alone tasty. That's why we decided to open The Artisan Bite, to do our part in normalizing alternative ingredients, while still making products that taste delicious. We offer lots of gluten-free and vegan pastries, including our beloved muffins. We make everything from scratch and keep our customers top of mind, so let us know if we can accommodate you in any way! We care because you mind.

Established in 2016.

Max first opened The Artisan Bite as an avenue to bake tasty treats for his kids who had allergies. Once he developed his recipes, he wanted to share them with the neighborhood. Max wants all parents and friends with food allergies to feel at home at his place, proving that great food doesn't have to be limited to traditional ingredients.

Max is compassionate in his cooking, and loves the challenge of using non-traditional ingredients to accommodate different food allergies. He leads with kindness and an open heart, and hopes to share his love of baking with anyone who walks through his doors.

Maybe they can get some sort of awning outside because there really is no room. It was busy and took so long that I was able to wait for someone to leave. We got the table right infront of the window display. It was FILTHY. And very unappetizing to see while waiting for our food that we were about to eat. If you are going to have a display, PLEASE keep it clean. And if you know you will be too busy to clean it, just throw it away. I wish I got a picture of the lamp hanging there but it was also heavily covered in dust. I am curious what else they aren't cleaning. My wife and I had a delightful Saturday morning at "The Artisan Bite," and I'd say it deserves a 4.5-star rating for the overall experience. We kicked off our visit with an americano and an iced coffee. Though they were slightly more bitter than our preference, we managed to enjoy every drop - they were still good brews. We decided to go all-in and bought four pastries to sample: Almond Croissant: This one was a treat. The croissant had that lovely flakiness, and the filling was delicious. Our only wish was for a bit more filling to savor. Egg and Cheese Pocket: Oh, this was a superstar! Easily the best thing we tried. A pro tip for fellow visitors - ask them to heat it up, and you'll maximize the flavor explosion. Spinach Pastelito: A close second in our favorites list. It was packed with spinach and a medley of flavors. A solid choice for the veggie lovers. Caprese Galette: Our third favorite, but still quite good. Couldn't come in for just a cachito and pay because of a minimum required charge for card. Do people still carry cash on them? I never do. So leaving without being able to support the business by trying them out. Taking my simple breakfast want across the street. I respect business policies.
