Eeeek this is an old photo... I keep putting off posting reviews in time... As evidenced by my previous reviews, this place is amazing. I came in dangerously close to closing (so so sorry y'all) with a friend. That was the first time I've seen this place so laid back - nice to see the servers get a tiny break, they work incredibly hard here! I was excited to be served by Jordan again. She should run for president or something. Wonderful person all in all, and apparently very good at remembering a face. My friend and I shared the tasting board, which was DELISH. The little pickled things appealed to me in particular. I recall my pal saying, "I frigging hate goat cheese," then she enjoyed 75% of it, lol. The presentation is immaculate, I don't think the photo I took captures exactly how pretty it looked. Bread perfectly toasted... everything paired well... blah blah blah. They sadly removed my favorite item (the field mushrooms with polenta and dukkah). I cry every night. HOWEVER, I still love those fish and chips and whatever dark magic they put in the tartare, so I got those and immediately devoured them. You already know they're incredible. My friend got the bubble n squeak which is a newer item I think, and my goodness did she go CRAZY over it. I should've taken a photo... but just imagine it as well presented as the tasting board. They do NOT serve ugly plates here lol, and everything arrives well seasoned without fail. I didn't get time to grill her on the highlights of the dish, but she was mesmerized throughout the entire meal (first time at Aussie Grind, obvi). Staff are friendly but I'm not big on being called honey, babe, sweetie etc. aside that it's a nice spot for brunch or dinner. Would love to see more items (healthier ones) for kids 12 and under. Great coffee! Didn't think I would be able to enjoy a good flat white in true aussie manner in Frisco, and I was pleasantly surprised. Decor and ambiance were comfortable. Does get a bit loud on weekends during lunch rush, though. Breakfast dishes are solid. I've had the Breakfast Gnocchi and Eggs Benny which were great, and their chocolate banana bread was amazing. I did have the Fish n' Chips for lunch, though, and that wasn't the best; I was told "good" fish n' chips are hard to find in DFW, so I won't complain about that. Overall good experience. Damn, they really lured me in to this restaurant with the pink and blue sign and the cute koala (THAT IS WEARING HIS MASK PROPERLY). I love how everything is Australian themed. They had cute little koalas sitting on the espresso machine and my boy Steve Irwin in plushie and funkopop form was in the upper corner surveying everything. (I'd still throw hands for Steve,TBH.) Came in for an afternoon pick me up and the boyfriend and I ended up getting smoothies! I had a banana and honey smoothie and he had a mixed berry. We split a Lamberton pastry together and the coconut was just it. Everything went so well together for me, except the boyfriend didn't like how his smoothie was sweetened with honey. He says he got more honey flavor than berry flavor. Oh well! I do wish the dining room was a bit bigger, though. If it had been, we'd probably had stayed for an early dinner. Lovely service and lovely food. Gave me a really good start to my day. Walked in and the waitress greeted me in the most friendly manner. Ordered the banana honey smoothie to start and was offered to order the banana chocolate chip bread. It was delightfully hot and sweet. The jam and whipped butter went well with it. I ordered the big breaky which let me try quite a bit of variety. It was great and delicious. Staff here are lovely and attentive. Interior is nice and clean. Food and drink are amazing. At this point I'm pretty sure The Aussie Grind has been on my radar for like a year now. For whatever reason, I never took the time to check it out. Thankfully that all changed yesterday!! As soon as I saw that they added a chicken sandwich to their menu, I knew I had to try it asap!! I did a call ahead order, and came in to pick it up. The process was super quick and efficient and my food was being bagged up as soon as I walked in. The timing was perfect! I ordered the Chicken Sanga, which is a Panko breaded chicken sandwich topped with balsamic caramelized onions, fresh arugula, and chipotle mayo! I also ordered a side of bacon. I had some fresh cherry tomatoes at home and decided to slice them up and at them to the sandwich, and OMG. Y'all. Seriously. Everything was SO GOOD. I have seriously never felt so guilt free after eating a chicken sandwich. It was unlike any chicken sandwich I've had before! I'm assuming they pan fry or bake the chicken because it wasn't greasy, AT ALL and the bun didn't get soggy, even with all of the ingredients! The bun was soft, fluffy, and so delicious! The chicken was uniquely and perfectly seasoned with a fantastic crunch and the balsamic glazed onions brought the perfect amount of sweetness! The chipotle mayo and the arugula were were light and fresh, and the bacon and tomatoes reallllly SET IT OFFFF!! The rosemary fries were also delicious!! They were crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside. The rosemary and coarse sea salt were the perfect finishing touch!! So yeah, long story short, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this meal and I highly recommend this lovely place! read more

Amazing food plus outstanding service = an amazing dining experience! This was our first time at this establishment and will definitely not be our last. We were greeted with cheerful enthusiasm from the staff. I had never been here and expected a limited breakfast menu, but was blown away by the delicious items on the menu. Our server had a tag along and I'm thinking she was training a new employee, who was clearly learning from the best as she addressed us with cute names every time she spoke to us ("Hey besties!") I ordered my cold coffee and munched on my avocado toast as my dear friend caught me up with her life. Not the best place for a chat because it was super busy, even for a Monday morning but we never felt rushed. I really enjoyed the coffee but didn't feel particularly moved by it. The avo toast was good but I immediately regretted my decision when I saw my friend's granola with fruit, which looked so good! I found this place a bit overpriced for what it was, but decent enough. I'm ashamed that I didn't try anything particularly Australian, but would like to come back and try their fish and chips. read more

Well I was off on a Monday and hungry for brunch around 1p. So I decided to dash from Plano to Frisco and catch them before they close. Boy was I in for a damn treat. They are located in a small strip with one or two other restaurants. There is a small earring area outside. On entering I was promptly greeted and told I could sit anywhere. The inside is small but set up well. I ordered the Perth Juice (Orange, Mint, & Strawberry) and the Bubble & Squeak (hippie bread , potatoes , grape tomatoes , tomatillos, spinach, caramelized onions , sunny side up egg, balsamic glaze reduction) - new on the menu...first day!!! This juice and mean was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The flavors tied together to create the most delectable party in my mouth. Let me just tell you to get there and order ASAP! I need to go back soon. I promise satisfaction and a happy tummy. Oh and I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie too. So mad I only got one! It was fresh, moist and tasty! P.S. This place is outrageously good! I'm rarely in the neighborhood but when we are, it's a no brainer for brunch, lunch or dinner. Brunchy dishes in particular are excellent. They seem very familiar but have a yummy twist. The staff is chill but very attentive. And the coffee is literally the best I've had in Texas. I told the owner it was the best cup I'd had in a decade and he proceeded to explain where the beans had been sourced from and why he also loved that particular blend. Oh! I got the Aussie coffee which includes coffee and 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. They let you add a syrup for an extra cost so I added the pumpkin spice and it was super delicious!!! Wow everything about our breakfast today was amazing! When we first arrived, there was a 15 minute wait for a booth, which we preferred because we had our newborn with us in her car seat. After about 2 minutes of waiting outside, a server came and told us that another table moved to allow us to sit sooner with the baby. We never got to find out who it was exactly to thank them but we were so grateful and appreciative of that! We started with some coffees and the toasted walnut banana bread. The coffee was excellent and the banana bread was out of this world incredible! The homemade cream and jam that it comes with are perfectly made and a great addition to an already outstanding tasting bread. For myself, I ordered the breakfast gnocchi, which was also absolutely delicious. A generous portion of gnocchi atop a bed of spinach with bacon, onions, mushrooms and two poached eggs. Delicious! Our server was also awesome! She was so kind, knowledgeable and personable. She made us feel so welcomed and was sweet with our baby girl. This easily became one of our new favorite spots! This is the place to visit for some juice, drinks, and/or a bite to eat. Every member of the staff was very friendly and did what they could to make sure patrons were taken care. It's got that typical modern hipster coffee shop vibe/ambience with some of that healthy Nektar like juice bar feel. Here's what I ordered: Darwin Juice - A carrot, apple, and ginger juice. It was nice to have plenty of carrot and apple in the juice to cut down on their strong ginger burn. They did a great job balancing the flavors here. Melbourne Juice - A mix of celery, kale, spinach, granny smith, and spirulina. A very good green juice. Tasted clean and delicious. A very refreshing beverage. Banana Bread - I thoroughly enjoyed their banana bread. It came warm, didn't seem like they just heated or toasted it. It came out like they had actually warmed it up on a flat top and it came out absolutely AMAZEBALLS. Loved the crisp exterior and warm soft center. This came with some whipped cream and berry jam. All of it worked so well and was delicious. I'd definitely love to try more on their menu the next time. I really wanted to try their meat pies, but unfortunately at the time there would be a wait for it to be prepared. They do have them frozen if you'd like to order a pie to go though. I visited with a friend and loved the cheery ambiance and attentive service! It was quite busy when we went, with an estimated wait time of 15 minutes, but some people ahead of us cancelled so we got a seat relatively quickly. Their food looked just as good as it was depicted on their menu! I got the prawn linguine which had succulent, juicy shrimp and a generous portion of pasta. I couldn't finish it all, and the linguine did feel oily, although maybe that's typical of the dish. My friend ordered the Bubble 'N Squeak (toast topped with an egg, spinach, potatoes, mushroom) and enjoyed it as well. Everything was plated very nicely and was perfect for an Instagram shot. Overall, I would come here again for the great environment and am eager to try some of their other dishes! read more

Perhaps the best brunch I have ever had. Sunday afternoon, there was no wait for outdoor seating, and the shade and ice cold water kept me cool throughout my meal. They started me off with warm, gooey chocolate chip banana bread with whipped cream and berry compote. I ordered the Aussie iced coffee, which has a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and I couldn't have chosen better. For the meal, I ordered their hotcakes with additional sides of scrambled eggs (plated with micro greens and edible flower petals) and bacon. The hotcakes were the star of the show. A stack of five pancakes, topped with peach purée, vanilla ice cream and surround by berry compote and cheesecake crumbles, they were balanced and absolutely delicious. I took half the hotcakes home with me, and they were equally delicious when reheated in the oven. Central to the whole experience was the staff. Jordan was attentive, kind, and thoughtful from start to finish. I also met the owner as he attentively waited on other tables on the patio. The staff really seem to enjoy working here, as evidenced by their interactions with each other and with customers. I have already recommended the Aussie Grind to several people and plan to return this weekend. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Frisco! I love to go for breakfast and get the avocado smash and banana walnut bread. The food is amazing and I have always had great experiences with the staff. I also have tried the breakfast gnocchi and it was super delicious, but it is heavier than some other menu items. Don't forget to try their coffee/tea - I love their iced chai! The menu is somewhat exotic but it looks exciting; I mean who doesn't love french bread and ice cream? My dietary constraints wouldn't let me do that today, so the T.A.G Big Breaky came in my order. Looked great... taste... blah. Sausage links over cooked (not sure how you do that), avocado wasn't ripe. Asked for over easy egg, got zero run and almost zero salt. Service was friendly, great smiles, but disappeared and forgot bring the stuff I asked for when they brought the dish. Workmate tried Fish & Chips... don't bother was his feedback. Ordered a mug of house brew coffee (free refills!) and a vanilla latte which was delicious on its own. But the crème de la crème comes in the form of the The Chicken Sanga and the Chicken Parmy. If anyone asks you to get the house sauce for an additional 50 cents - do yourself a favor and do it! The homemade tartar sauce is amazing and goes so well with the The Chicken Sanga and the fries giving it a nice addition to the already delicious meal.
