I been wanting to try this place for a while & came here for brunch. This place has several tables throughout cafe with the counter in front. The tables are pretty close together & isn't as spacious. It's normally crowded during the weekend. When we got there we weren't sure if we had to wait to get seated or just grab a seat. Since no one acknowledged us, we just grab a seat at an empty table. After we sat down, someone came & gave us a menu. I got the egg benedict with bacon. It was unique that it came with sourdough instead of english muffin. Overall the egg benedict was alright. The sourdough gave the dish a sour taste. I didn't like the salad that it came with & some of the leaves weren't fresh. For my drink, I got the aussie iced coffee & it's nothing special. It's pretty much an affogato & tasted just like milk. I also tried the T.A.G big breaky. It wasn't as big as I would expected & it was a little overpriced for the amount you get. First off, this is a place with a very small space. The whole establishment can't be more than thirty feet wide. The service team seems to be just that. In a more traditional setting, a single server would be taking care of you. At the AG, the whole team seems to be involved. It sort of works. Now to the food. The pancakes were stellar. With various fruits, vanilla ice cream, syrup and creme anglais it seems an odd combination but MAN it works! Completely delicious. As for the fish and chips, they were good but not spectacular. Our group had never been here before, but friends had, so we decided to try it. It was a hit. The food and drinks were delicious. We had Bubble and Squeak, an Eggs Benedict, Seafood Pasta and a Flatbread, as well as Banana and Walnut Bread. The portions were nicely sized and the plating was lovely. Solid place for breakfast / brunch food in Frisco! I visited The Aussie Grind with a few friends for brunch on a Sunday. Upon arriving at around 10am, we put our name down and had to wait maybe 20ish minutes outside before being seated (as a party of 4). Once we were seated, service was relatively fast despite how busy it was inside. I ordered the breakfast pizza which has bacon, fried eggs, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and BBQ sauce. This is basically a flatbread with a great mix of toppings for breakfast time, and I especially loved the sweetness that the BBQ sauce added to the dish! My fiance got the breaky gnocchi which has bacon and poached eggs and comes on top of a bed of spinach. While the texture of the gnocchi was nice, this dish was unfortunately way too oily towards the bottom of the plate plus it wasn't as flavorful as we would have liked. read more

I found this place in the nearby activity section on Yelp and we decided to check them out while we were in Frisco. The ambiance walking in was nice. They also had relaxing music playing and that sat very well with me since we had just come from a nearby festival that was really loud. It was the perfect atmosphere to decompress a little! Our server was great. Super friendly and helpful . He was also very efficient. I ordered the Fish and Chips for my main meal and a Vanilla Slice for dessert. The Fish & Chips were a perfect meal for a Friday during Lent. Perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. My previous review was a mistake (it was meant for another business) so I decided to make it right by coming here. I have also heard so much good things about this so I also decided to celebrate a friend's birthday. They don't take reservations so better get there early cause weekends are busy. I had the salmon and it was good but the sweet chilly glaze sauce didn't feel like it complement the salmon. Maybe it just wasn't my preference so I'll order something else next time. The side cabbage that came with it was also lackluster. My friend had a beef burger sub sweet potato fries which was good. She ordered a coffee and we shared an affogato which was really good. Really nice staff but I do feel the food was a little underwhelming. I'll probably come back here another time to give it another shot because I'm thinking it's just what I ordered. Tried a new breakfast spot and was not dissapointed. We arrived around 11 on a Sat morning. Small place. We had to wait 15 minutes. No room for waiting inside, so we had to wait in the car. Very interesting breakfast menu with selections you just don't see elsewhere. We asked our server for recommendations and those "different" items were not recommended, so we went with their big breakfast and omelette. The big breakfast had some interesting things like beans in marinara sauce and potato cakes. Different, but good. The omelette came with a side salad which was only a few bites, but very tasty, fresh and went perfectly with the eggs. The omelette was perfect and filled with goodies. I had the Canberra version. Toast and bacon were all good. We both had coffee and hot tea and they were excellent. Very good place with lots of returning patrons. Highly recommend and we will be returning. I haven't had grilled halloumi since I left Melbourne and this place reminded me absolutely of any higher end breakfast cafe along an Australian beach. We tried a flat white as well as a honey and banana smoothie along with an avocado toast and rocky road French toast. All I can say is wow! This felt like an exclusive brunch spot that is a MUST visit if you're in Frisco. The food is fantastic! The Aussie Grind breakfast reminded me of a similar dish I had in the UK but was on another level with the chutney jam and fresh local bread - YUM! The cappuccino also went above and beyond with a nice chocolate powdered layer on top. It was delicious! The restaurant does feel a bit congested with limited small tables that are very close to your neighbors, and you have to raise your voice quite a bit over the loud music. But, I got over it, because what really made our 1st time experience here great was our server, Grace. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. I was so disappointed. Affogato was a bowl of Costco store bought ice cream with a side of espresso... like atleast make it a cute cup of ice cream. I asked to recommendations, they recommended the avocado toast. It had maybe a quarter or less of avocado smeared on it and some feta and pomegranate. It was almost a joke. Girls working there were also sitting and eating loudly talking. I had to wait to get service even tho it was empty. It almost felt like their hangout spot. Well, the verdict is in! Aussie Grind deserves all the hype and praise! We ordered the fish and chips, Canberra omelet, and Pav Smash, which were stellar. The fish and chips were delicious! Served with their in-house tartar sauce, which was lip smackingly good, the fish was delicately coated and fried to perfection, keeping it tender and moist. The rosemary potatoes were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The Canberra omelet was excellently balanced and fluffy. When cut through, you see the egg curds, and it is scrumptious. And last but by no means least, the Pav smash was so unique that I must ask everyone to try it at least once. The foam was thick and creamy and the top had a black dusting of cocoa powder. YUM! The Biscoff French toast was delicious and would make a great dessert. The salad with gnocchi, spinach, and bacon was excellent and the eggs were perfectly poached.
