Such a cute cafe on 5th street! This was recommend to me by the hotel staff during my visit to Dallas. The cafe is open seating and does not have a reservation system. When walking in, you'll order your food first, grab your drinks and the servers will being the good to your table. Our food didn't take long at all to arrive after ordering. The egg whites were lightly cooked when I asked for them to be fried well done. The chicken was overcooked but still edible. Pancakes and waffle was very good. My curse grits were ok, I would've preferred the cheese be melted and the grits to be cooked a little more, they were thick. Overall very cute cafe to visit for quick eating! I'll be back to try again when visiting Dallas.

Wonderful neighborhood counter order cafe! The restaurant at looks like it was a Victorian home converted to a restaurant. There's plenty of seating, prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious! I ordered the French Toast Platter: it came with 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, breakfast potatoes, and 4 pieces of french toasts with fresh cut fruit Parking is right behind the building, and there's plenty of it!

French Toast platter. I got the banana fosters and an extra added. . Good stuff. It's worth the drive.

Nice, cozy place. The food is good. Customer service is good. The first time here didn't know you order and pay first. So be ready, you first trimmers. If I knew, I would have looked at the menu or Yelp pictures a bit long. Had people behind us in line, not a fan of wasting anyone's time. Good first visit. Plan to have many more. If you work from home you can bring your computer. We got here between 9am and 9:30am. No one rushing you out. Maybe you can get a little work done while having breakfast. This place is dog friendly. They have a patio for them. It was a bit cold, of course, during winter months but great during spring and summer months. Hope you enjoy

Cute restaurant, a home remade into a restaurant. It has been here forever, and can do with some repainting, redoing the floors just to bring back the beauty. It's a seat yourself, order at the counter restaurant. Food was ready quickly, and brought to the table. I ordered shrimp and grits, it was very oily but the taste was good. Garlic bread was awesome. It's been years since my first visit, if you want cute scenery and a good meal, check it out

I found this little spot while looking for good chilaquiles! And I found them! I loved the green salsa , very flavorful, also the portion was very generous, it comes with sour cream, cheese, avocado and I chose chicken to top it off (obviously eggs)!!! I would definitely come back to try something else next time!

Such a cute and fun spot in downtown frisco! This place is patio dog friendly! The food was great! They have breakfast and lunch items. The fish basket was very good, and so was the shrimp carbonara. Pay attention to their operation hours, they do close early in the day.

Fifth Street patio Café is a quaint place to eat in downtown Frisco. With hippie ambience and its wide variety on the menu, I definitely think this is a place to not miss. The prices are a little above the average. A BLT will cost you 9.99, but they do have daily specials and I have not come across one entrée that is bad. The breakfast is also really good. My favorite is the big taco salad and a cup of creamy jalapeño soup.

I arrived at the right time. There were many open spots in their small parking lot shared with several other businesses. When I entered, a customer had just finished ordering. I quickly browsed the menu on the wall and ordered the Captain Crunch French Toast. After grabbing the utensils and coffee, I decided to eat on the patio. The coffee was slightly bitter but still drinkable. After I saw the bottom of the cup did my order arrive. Because it was slightly pre-sweetened, I assumed no additional syrup came with it. Later, I noticed nearby tables pouring syrup from unmarked bottles. I did notice these unmarked bottles next to marked bottles of mustard and ketchup. I just did not know what was the brown goop inside them. As I said, the Captain Crunch French Toast was slightly pre-sweetened with syrup which prevented it from being too dry. The three slices of toast and the several pieces of blueberries and strawberries was enough to satisfy my hunger. I had some amusement picking up the individual pieces of cereal with my fork. Although I was eyeing the andouille sausage, any additional food would have been excessive. By the time I left, the restaurant was starting to get packed. All the patio tables were occupied; the lot was getting full; and the line to order had reached the door.

First time here in a long time. We splurged and ordered a few of our favorites: the chocolate chip pancakes and the bananas foster French toast. They weren't busy, but it seemed to take longer than expected to get our food. My French toast could've used a little more banana, but the flavor was amazing. My wife's pancakes looked and tasted great. Apparently, a pancake on the bottom got folded over and didn't meet the owner's quality standard, so she brought my wife an extra pancake to go. My daughter was the very happy beneficiary.

Came here for the dog friendly patio, unfortunately, that's maybe only one of 3 perks for this restaurant. The food was presented very well, but lacked in flavor and actual temperature. My cheese in my cheese grits weren't even melted! The chilaquiles lacked spice and the corned beef just didn't do it for me. I liked how it was cut from an actual beef brisket instead of the kind from a can,so that was a plus. Another plus is the big protion size. The coffee dispensers had a lot of roast flavors, but they make me feel like I am in a hotel getting complimentary continental coffee before I head out of the door. The waitresses don't wear their masks properly. The only one that was was just there to buz tables and not really help.

Italian Chicken Sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup

Cute, casual little breakfast/lunch place in Frisco. We got the breakfast tacos and Italian sandwich with the tomato basil soup. I will say the soup wasn't the best I've had but the sandwich was good. They have clean restrooms and the staff is super friendly.

Of course I door dashed so I was unable to experience the ambiance of the space but I'm sure it is great. The drinks and food were pretty spot on. The blonde Java thing (was delicious but ordered for the toppings and of course I didn't get them: only thing keeping this review from getting the full 5 stars), white pumpkin (amazing and recommend) and coffee cake which I loved (other reviews said dry but with how large and fluffy it is I could only assume how dry it made my mouth after eating such large bites of the huge thing. Great size for price!). Only thing not posted or viewed in my review is the veggie quiche. Full of flavor and it was delicious. Slightly confused because it did not come in a crust, which I thought quiche did, at all; came in a wrapping, but the egg was fluffy. Flavor was good and I enjoyed!! Definitely will order again - hopefully next time I can go in so I can experience the service.

It felt like a true neighborhood spot--warm, familiar, and thoughtful. But this year, not even a "Happy Mother's Day" in sight. It may seem small, but it speaks volumes about the shift in atmosphere since the new ownership. Service feels more distant now, less like a community hub and more transactional. The new owner is courteous, but the inviting energy is gone. The food is still good, but I deeply miss the quiche--crafted with love and skill by the previous pastry chef. It was a standout and irreplaceable. Bread is made more often now, which is nice in theory, but consistency has slipped. My last loaf was disappointingly hard around the edges. This isn't a harsh critique--it's hopeful. I'd love to see some of the old heart and hospitality return. It made all the difference.
