The Aussie Grind is simply fantastic! We are here every weekend morning for coffee as soon as they open (they have the best Mocha in town) and are always greeted with the infectious joy of the owners, Lui and Angie. We are consistently impressed with the deliciousness of the food every time we eat here. The Eggs Benny is by far the best eggs benedict we have tried anywhere. The poached eggs are always cooked perfectly runny (as they should be) and the hollandaise sauce is divine. Everyone who works here is always extremely friendly - Jordan always makes the experience special and memorable! Every recommendation she makes on which drink to try or addition to the meal has turned out awesome. We love coming here and will always recommend this place to anyone looking for a brunch spot! p.s. We went in with a lot of hope because of the five star review ratings But didn't find the quality of the food to be outstanding. I ordered fish fry but the fish pieces were very small and rubbery, coated by half inch thick better and tartar sauce was way too salty. Shrimps in my daughters Salad smelled like raw eggs. Fries were good and that's pretty much what filled us. It cost us $28 per person for one entrée and one juice each. Service was okay but food was delayed by about 30 minutes. Service was painfully slow- the young servers spent more time socializing at the coffee bar than anything else. I've been to this place several times and never thought to leave a review but this place is rightfully rated 5TARS. Everything on the menu is amazing and I'm convinced I increase my lifespan by 5 years. The banana bread tastes like an answered prayer and the mushroom breakfast tastes like forgiveness for my sins. To top it off, their staff is elite. I believe our servers name was Jordan and we just gave her creative control to pick for us. I'm convinced she's a disciple of some sort. The worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. They were busy which I take as a good sign and I am a patient person so that wasn't the issue. The issue was the employee taking orders on a tablet. She made eye contact with us three times and left us with words in our mouths as she walked in front of us and then behind us to greet and service customers walking in after us. We then stepped up to the counter and still ignored as employees were talking to each other. Both my husband and I are in retail and customer service respectively. We understand how patience goes a long way as a customer but we walked out because we weren't going to give our money an establishment with such poor customer service. I walked into The Aussie Grind and was instantly greeted by a server who was kind, quick, and helpful in getting my order in. The space was bustling with energy, and the other server that was next to the one that was helping me was really warm and humorous which made me feel right at home. I came in to order a flat white with the yelp check-in promo that's on their profile, but they told me that they're not accepting the yelp promo at this time so I opted for an decaf piccolo with lavender, honey, and oat milk instead (my default order at most other coffee shops which is, I believe, the equivalent of a cortado). To me, the cortado was a bit on the pricey side (at least compared to the other cafes I've been to) and lacked that bright, floral yet sweet flavor profile that I've come to love in my tour-de-coffee of cortados around the DFW area. I think maybe adding a little extra espresso beans before pulling the shots of espresso, a touch more lavender, (to give the drink a stronger flavor profile) and a bit more mixing in of the honey would bring the drink to the next level for me. But, that aside, the drink was served in beautiful plating that looked rustic yet chic and they provided a bottle of water on the side for me to pour myself water at my leisure which I appreciated (especially since I was sitting on their patio on a warm, sunny, day.) I will say that although I didn't love my drink, those small extra touches in how they tend to customers definitely make their service outstanding. One other critique I had is that they don't offer free wifi. I asked the server (as I was hoping to get 30 minutes of virtual writing done on their patio) and she suggested trying to use the wifi of the neighboring establishments. I think adding this option, even if it's just a timed login for 30 minutes or an hour of timed internet usage per guest/ per order at their café like some of the cafes in the DFW area have popularized might be a helpful addition as well. So overall, I would say my coffee experience was 'okay.' I would not come back to order off their coffee menu, but perhaps would return to try their brunch if they have vegan options. read more

I just visited this cute coffee shop. I asked the lovely young lady to give me a recommendation as i was open to try any drink hot or cold just nothing too sweet. She recommended the flat white with oat and lavender, hot. It was outstanding!! Came for the espresso drinks, but stayed for breakfast. Delicious craft coffee drinks are executed very well. The baristas here know what they're doing. Husband and I had the breakfast gnocchi and breakfast mushroom dishes. Both were very filling. Both are very creative and well executed with perfectly poached eggs. We agreed that the mushroom was the better of the 2 however. The kids had the hot cakes. The Aussie Grind is such a unique Texas brunch spot! We were greeted today by Angie, who is just so lovely and energetic, we didn't even mind waiting for seating. Once we were texted to come back after maybe a short 20 minute wait, (we were quoted 30 so we were pleasantly surprised) we were greeted again by the lovely Angie, who then offered to get me a purse hook for my bag after we were seated (the first time I have EVER been offered that!) We had thought over our options for food during our wait for seating, so my boyfriend got the fish and chips and the Melbourne Juice, I got The Big Breaky and a bowl sized cappuccino (I was told the mug vs. the bowl is a 12 oz vs 16 oz serving and I love my coffee). The fish and chips had a wonderful and fresh flavor. The big breaky was just my style of fresh and simple ingredients and it included a tasty chutney! I wanted a dessert, but I had little room left, so I chose something to go from the dessert case. I chose the orange blueberry cake bar, which looks WONDERFUL. Oh man this place is a gem!!! Place is not so big and not small either. Their decors are tasteful! I really love their cups and plates. Ive been looking for the same cups so I can buy some for my home lol. ‍ Ok so the 1st I went there i had their white lavender latte and the big breakfast! man it was yummy! i ate everything thats on my plate! 2nd time i went there i had the same breakfast because i just love it so much, and tried their chai latte! I was so excited to try this place! I had been eyeing it for weeks. I asked my sister and niece to join in on the fun- the service was a bit slow, not a lot of people were dining at this time of the day. We waited for some time for water and silverware. The young lady helping us was not very informative or knowledge about the menu. I love to ask about favorites and popular dishes but she may have been new. All good. Prices are a bit high, my coffee was on the smaller side and almost $5. The food could use a decorative flair- I think they have a fresh setting and the decor is inviting the food needs a boost up to match the dynamics. I will most definitely give them another try soon. Hidden gem in Frisco! I dined in on a Thursday. Arrived around 12:30ish and there was one table remaining. (There are a few outdoor tables) Super cute coffee shop/restaurant atmosphere and decor. (The restaurant was a bit noisy). Breakfast and lunch entrees all day. I had the Roasted Mushrooms with two eggs...delicious! I'm a non-meat eater and my server recommend the Beyond Meat Link. So glad she did! Coffee drinks come in three sizes, I had a dirty Chai which was amazing too. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Service slower and my eggs cane out later, although I didn't mind as it allowed time to enjoy my Chai and my meal. Great place for vegetarians and vegans as they are many alternatives to the menu, and my server was great to ask which I was in order to recommend entrees and/or inquire about substitutions. They offer a coffee lunch card and text ahead coffee ordering. Everything is available for carry out although there is a simple menu and awesome pastry/dessert case for quick selections.
