A kids scoop of the baked bear!
    Brittany D.

I ordered a kid's size of the baked bear which was the blue colored ice cream (tastes like cake batter) mixed with brownie bits and sprinkles. Overall, it was okay. I think the freezer's temp may be at a higher temp than normal because it melted pretty quickly as I was eating it. I loved the inside of the store though! And I've had their cookies before which is bomb. Plus the location can't be beat. You're steps away from Bayfront Park with gorgeous views of the water. As for the ice cream though, it was just okay and for a $7 kid's scoop in a cup, I had higher expectations.

Visited the Baked Bear after the Warriors game to treat ourselves from a great win! You walk towards the Terry A Francois Blvd side of Chase Center from Thrive City, then take the stairs down and make a right where it is conveniently located. There was a little line when we went, but it went by quickly. The menu has a lot of options you can order your dessert as, and we opted for their Custom Cookie Sandwich. We can choose 2 cookies, so we chose Cookie Monster and Cookies & Creme. For ice cream, we chose Mint Chip. They offer to warm up the sandwich, but unfortunately for our experience, it wasn't warmed up enough. Regardless, we still enjoyed our ice cream sandwich outside the store, where there are a couple of tables to sit at. The views of the Bay are also nice to see on a sunny day while enjoying this sweet treat

A fun ice cream shop that is well-themed with their polar bear design and brand. I was a bit disappointed that I could not try all their flavors as they have a limit on samples. However, the staff were kind and their portions were satisfying. There are a lot of fun and unique cookie flavors to choose from. Fewer ice cream flavors to try compared to other ice cream shops but they all looked very appetizing, creative, and tasted great (from the ones I sampled). 5/5 - Cookies & Cream with Strawberry Matcha Cookie and Cookie Monster Cookie - A very generous scoop for our ice cream cookie sandwich! I was very impressed with how chewy and warm the cookies were, and how their flavor profiles were not too sweet such that you could appreciate the different components of the cookie. You will definitely be left filled with their portions.

Located right next to the Chase Center, I decided to try this place before a game. Glad I stopped by! Their brownies are on the thinner side, but more dense and chewy which is exactly how I like them. If you prefer a more cake like brownie, maybe try a cookie here instead. The mud pie ice cream is delicious. Nice coffee flavor and paired perfectly with the brownie. The employee was nice and explained a little about my options. She let me know I could do more of a half ice cream sandwich option and that's what I went with. It's a small set up, but there are a handful of tables and chairs outside.

I will order that gooey butter cake cookie again!

Located on the first floor of the Chase Center complex fronting the water, this spot is in a bit of a tricky location which I only found because of a signboard that drew me here. The spot is clean and looks new. Staff is friendly and eager. On the night of the Lady Gaga concert, they switched on the music to get in the spirit along with the crowd. They've got cookies, brownies, and ice cream which can be ordered individually or a sandwich. Fresh off of a recent stop in at Diddy Riese in Westwood, I went for the $10.25 cookie sandwich here. Gasp, this one was a lot better! The cookies are thin and soft. The ice cream is good quality and the scoop is large. And as an added bonus, they'll offer to warm your cookies (no innuendo intended haha) in the waffle iron. I was glad that I did. I got the cookies & cream cookie as well as the gooey butter cake cookie (YUM highly recommend) with a scoop of vanilla with a blackberry or huckleberry swirl (can't recall oops.) It was the perfect treat to share. I hope this place does well. It's got everything going for it!

Yum! I hadn't eaten a ice cream cookie sandwich in forever and this one hit the spot after playing volleyball nearby. We got the cookie monster cookied with more cookie and cream ice cream inside, and the ice cream portion was hefty. It wa, as expected, pretty sweet but also very creamy and decadent. Good find in Mission Bay!

The concept seemed familiar then I recalled I'd taken Finn and his friend to The Baked Bear's first location in North Beach 6 years ago. The Baked Bear in Mission Bay is at the base of the Warriors Stadium. No game day, no line. The concept is an ice cream cookie sandwich with the option of their warming the cookie sandwich in a waffle iron of sorts. You can buy cookie crumbles and chocolate chips, etc to roll onto the edges. It was good, messy (grab a spoon and napkins) and if you're a princess like me, give up trying to eat it as a sandwich after the second bite. For $10+ it's a bit spendy but tasty for an occasional treat- try it! Spotless, mini takeaway spot with outdoor seating.

I went to a The Baked Bear in San Diego once and have thought about it since. I was thrilled to hear they opened up a location in Chase Center's Thrive City and checked it out today. Friendly staff and some tables outside to sit at. Baked bear specializes in cookie ice cream sandwiches. You pick different cookies for the top and bottom of your ice cream sandwich, or the same cookie. They also have sundaes and combos with brownies. I opted for one gooey butter cake cookie and a chocolate chip cookie with cookie dough ice cream in the middle. They also sell the cookies individually as well. I really like it here because they offer to heat up your cookies and it's amazing because they are soft and delicious. The gooey butter cake cookie is so unique and it's a decadent dessert. So good and highly recommend.

The Baked Bear offers a sweet variety of cookies and ice cream flavors for their ice cream sandwiches. My experience with ice cream sandwiches has not been favorable in the past, but this ice cream shop has changed my mind! In their pop-up event located around the Chase Center, they offered a few cookie flavors, including snickerdoodle & cookie monster (which are the two i got) & chocolate chip & funfetti, and a few ice cream flavors including cookies & cream (the one i got) & bear batter & vanilla. The cookies were crispy and thin, and the cookies & cream ice cream was rich! The ice cream sandwich was not too heavy and satisfied my sweet tooth.

My sisters and i were craving ice cream and cookies, so this was the perfect spot! We came here around 7:30pm and the cookies all still tasted very fresh. We were super satisfied with the service, and the ice scream cookies were so freaking good. Having had a baked bear since we we're in Tahoe. So happy for this to open in our neighborhood.

I seen a sign leaving the warriors game that they were opened til 10:30. I needed a sweet treat and they did not disappoint. Its located right outside of the chase center. There was a short line. The customer service was amazing they told me what the top choices were. I ordered the gooey butter cake with vanilla icecream as a sandwhich. They warmed it up and was absolutely perfect. The cookie was so fresh and soft. I will definitely be back after a game. They have outdoor seating as well.

Customer service was excellent. The location being a part of Chase Center is perfect. Great vibes always. My gf and I shared a ice cream cookie sandwich. With chocolate chip and white macadamia nut at each end, with toasted s'mores in the center with nuts. 5 star greatness in every bite. Dangerously good.

Located at the base of Chase Center, The Baked Bear gives your wallet a nice break from arena food pricing. $9.95 ice cream sandwiches & $2.50 cookies are inexpensive ways to celebrate a Dubs win. Cookies we ordered: -- Gooey Butter Cake: a 1:1 replica of the cake version. A crackled powdered exterior with a sweet, almost undercooked inside. Crispy but still chewy. -- Funfetti: the sprinkles were sweet instead of bland & waxy, which is usually how funfetti products come across to me. -- Chocolate Chip: a good cookie (something my teachers never called me), but The Baked Bear does their creative flavors so well, I don't want to stick to plain ol' chocolate chip here. That's saying a lot; it's my go-to in most cases. Not your grandmother's bake shop. Amusing & popular food trends make their way into The Baked Bear's delicious cookies.

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

We originally went to the location near Union Square, thinking we'd be able to grab pastries and hot chocolate, only to realize it's primarily a retail shop with chocolate bars and merchandise. We ended up making our way to the Valencia Street location, and I'm so glad we did. We learned that it used to be the original factory before they outgrew the space. Production has since moved a few blocks away, and now this location offers classes, a café, and plenty of chocolate treats. While we were there, a chocolate-making class was in session, and it was fun to watch part of it. The instructor even came over to chat with us and answer a few questions, which was such a nice personal touch. We ordered the brownie bite flight along with a hot chocolate, and both were fantastic. The brownie flight was rich, flavorful, and a fun way to sample different chocolates. The hot chocolate came with a tiny cookie that was absolutely delicious. At first, we were a little disappointed because we thought our hot chocolate was supposed to come with a marshmallow and didn't see one. When we mentioned it, the instructor smiled and showed us a toppings station we had completely missed. There were homemade marshmallows, flavored sugar cubes, and other little extras you could add yourself. He even encouraged us to take a few extra marshmallows, and they were some of the best I've ever had. One thing to know before you go is that Dandelion Chocolate focuses on high-quality chocolate that isn't overly sweet. If you're expecting the sugary milk chocolate flavor of a candy bar, this is a different experience. The chocolate has a richer, more complex flavor, and we really enjoyed trying something different. Between the friendly staff, delicious treats, and unique experience, I'd definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary--just make sure you head to the café location if you're looking for food and drinks!

The japanese milk coffee was less bitter/strong compared to typical coffee ice cream, probably hence the milk. I think I would've enjoyed a stronger aroma of coffee flavor more, but it was still yum!
