A bite missing- couldn't wait to try it!

Inside Muma Kitchen you'll find some amazing Baklava! Wow! I'm not a baklava fan but now I am! Found this place on Yelp and was excited because my hubby loves baklava. I think I loved it more than him! When we walked in, we immediately saw the baklava just made and the customer service was 10/10!

Don't be fooled by the fact that this place is hidden inside Muma Kitchen. The Baklava (Turkish style) is out of this world. Pistachio topping, delicate top, dense bottom... it's to die for.

I would give this baklava 10 stars if I could. The best I've ever had by miles, can't recommend it enough

I recently had a Persian-themed dinner party and one of my guests bought Turkish baklava for dessert from Baklava House. OMG . . . not only was the gift box packaging gorgeous, but the fresh baklava looked amazing! And after tasting it, it definitely was the best baklava that I've ever had. If you are a connoisseur of baklava, I cannot highly recommend enough Baklava House.

Tried many varieties from different shops and these are the best baklavas in Westwood. The filling is not overwhelmed with a cardamom flavor and the flakey, fragile, buttery crust just melts in your mouth.

They really do have the best baklava I have ever tasted so far and the kunefe is served super fresh. Neither is super sweet, so I was able to finish the whole thing by myself. If you have the opportunity, you definitely have to visit! The customer service here is great and they are always so kind. I highly recommend supporting this family owned business.

Feel like having #baklava, this is a great place to go. They also open late at night and have a great friendly service.

I've seen people here working on their laptop and groups of people around one table so the vibe is chill and friendly. It also depends on what time of day you come. Weekends usually get packed. As for the drinks and food. What we've had here has always been good. Best to eat their Croffle and baked goods there. Although Matcha is not for my liking, I'm more for their Taro Drink. B says the Matcha here is one of the better ones she's had. I have to agree even their Matcha Ice Cream is good. We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. I personally just don't like that style still, so I'll chalk it up as a "me" problem. The cooked part was good. The Rocky Road was cooked through. It was an amazing baked good with good flavor and add-ins. Between the roasted almond slices and fudgey chocolate chips, I was enjoying it immensely. A highlight of my day for sure. If you love underbaked cookies, Levain is your cookie shop! I don't and they had something for me too!

Based on my memories, this LA location keeps it consistent with a similar taste and texture as the NY location. 3.5/5 Chocolate Chip Walnut: This cookie was tall and slightly undercooked in the middle. The middle was a bit on the squishy side, and crunchy on the outside. Due to the undercooked quality, it's not a cookie I'd get regularly, though I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan. 5/5 Rocky Road: This was delicious. I'm not usually a marshmallow fan, but the addition of this ingredient formed a nice chewy consistency that I expect from a cookie. Chocolatey tidbits were well melted into the cookie texture and produced some fudgey notes. The cookie sizes are large and potentially shareable, and feel like an every once in awhile treat.

Almost all of our pastries were ready before we had even left the kiosk, which was great! I went with the mango and the peach, both of which were fantastic! The shortbread cookie underneath both was delicious, the mango mousse and filling tasted so fresh and amazing. The peach had an Earl Grey cream and fresh peach chunks as well. Both were in the classic white chocolate shell. These are so cute, fun to eat, very refreshing, and not overly sweet.
