Been going here since the day they opened very loyal customers to Spuntino's pizza but...The Bar next door? Last year I went here after I got off work, working a wedding, serving people, giving great service, all I wanted was a cocktail at the bar, it was packed, I was completely ignored while the people on either side of me got served, them even remarking to me "what the hell?" ‍ I finally managed to flag down a bartender by literally leaning over the bar, ordered and 20 minutes later still didn't have my drink while the people on either side of me got served. I often go out by myself and as a single woman on my way home, while alone at a bar, one feels uncomfortable enough, and then to be ignored well you get the drift. I walked out that night. I thought I wonder if my drink ever actually got delivered to me; said I would never go back.. Fast forward a year later, I thought to myself why not try it again ? Yup same story at the bar. My meatball sandwich after 30 minutes still had not arrived while the two tables who came in after me got their food, I asked the server/bartender what might've happened to my meal. He told me it comes from a different part of the kitchen. Come on it was a meatball sandwich a piece of bread two meatballs and some sauce. I was never asked if everything was all right, how was my food, but when it was time to bring the bill, it came right away ( I still even left a tip , admittedly smaller,although I typically leave 30% ) Sadly, I'm done with this place and it's a bummer because it's one of the few full bars that make craft cocktails in my neighborhood. Again, the food is delicious. The pizzas are delicious. The service in the main restaurant is usually decent, but the bartenders at The bar next-door are less than awesome. This is insane. I've been going here for 3 plus years and this is insane. I love Val and Tood. But these bartenders 10/30 are insane. By a question of asking hey the strength as it taste the same as before they assume that she is drunk and are rude about the questions that she's getting the cops called on her. That's pretty crazy and unnecessary in my personal opinion. We have frequent this place for two years and the fact that we have also recommended this place to many people makes it extremely sad and will not be doing that anymore. read more

Expresso martini's are amazing here. THE BEST. But "service" provided by Julia V. was embarrassing for the establishment. She was very pretentious and made my party feel vey unwelcome . This bar is so fun! Unassuming from the outside and attached to a pizza spot, it totally exceeded my expectations. The cocktails looked fantastic and had I not been pregnant I would've tried a couple. The place just had a great vibe - everyone was cheerful and having fun and it felt like a good place to be on a Saturday night. Not sure why but my last visit to Bar Next Door was very disappointing. I have been meeting friends for Happy House for several years and service has always been fine at a table or barstool. This last Thursday evening there were two bartenders working and a bar back. My friend and I waited over 10 minutes at bar to get a drink. We then waited to order food. Ordered a small pizza and salad with dressing on the side please. We were delivered a large pizza and salad with dressing and told not to worry about it when we finally flagged down the bartender thinking we got the wrong order. The service was terrible, it almost seemed like the bartender felt he was doing us a favor. When the check came we were charged for the large pizza. My friend just paid the check so we could get of out there. I took my friend there because I felt it was an OK place but I left very embarrassed. read more

The bar next door, what's there to say about this quaint little bar that hasn't been said already. The drinks are good, the service is slow and sometimes they wipe the bar... it's a tiny bar attached to this exquisite Italian restaurant and it's almost always packed with locals that love to listen to videos on their phones, as if no one else is around them. I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a bar to call my own but that hasn't happened for me yet. I've been to tons of bars across the U. S. and other countries as well, from high end ones to sleazy ones. Now, I've been to this bar more than a few times and I still feel like a stranger here and the service is still the same, inconsistent. I'm not exactly sure why I keep coming here but I'm a hopeful person and can always see the good in everything. I think as long as the restaurant next door doesn't move they'll be fine. The bar next door is my second home... Todd is probably the best bar tender I've ever had. I've been to quite a few bars in my lifetime and this one is by far my favorite spot to get drinks and hangout. Nice local hangout in Temecula, the mixologists are great with making a large variety of drinks, they also have a good selection of beer and wine. Prices are fair, the place is clean and I would say medium size for a bar. A great Italian restaurant is next door so you can get great food served at the bar without going to the restaurant. The Hawaiian pizza we had was very good, fresh pineapple ripped to perfection and the ham on it was very good as well. Fairly average. This spot is located by a Starbucks and a pizza place. They offer limited seating outside, but with no umbrellas to block the sun in the day time, it seems only useable at nighttime. My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday late afternoon for some wine. It's close to our house and we didn't want to deal with the crowds at the wineries. I would recommend not coming here if you want a selection of wine. When looking at their wine list, it's simply just listed Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Merlot. No options what so ever and they don't even list what the name of the bottle they offer. I little odd for a bar. They do have a full bar, i didn't order a mixed drink but I wish I had. I had both a Pinot Grigio and Miscato but both tasted pretty bad. My husband had a Chardonnay which he agreed wasn't that good either and then he had some whiskey. The prices are fair and they have happy hour Sunday through Thursday. They offer some food, mainly from the pizza place they are connected to. We ordered the calamari. It was fairly good, I usually like it more crispy but this was very flavorful. I would order that again. I will say the staff working was super friendly and nice. Honestly I'd probably come back here but more for how nice the staff was and just not order any wine! read more

Went tonight with a good friend. Place is nice, great ambiance. Bartender was very quick to say hello and give us menus, I was impressed. I ordered a Draft Beer, they were "out". He suggested a few others, no problem. My friend asked for a glass of wine and a bottled water, he forgot the bottled water. After flagging him down 10 minutes later we got it.
