Best food in Vegas, and the best atmosphere in town. I eat here once a week (try the prime rib sandwich).

We also ordered a 1/2 traditional fried chicken (original flavor w/Spice also on the side) to take home and when we got home, the 1/2 chicken was in one whole piece...surprise! In the pics on the ordering board, it showed the chicken in pieces (like normal), next time I'll know to order in pieces and not a whole 1/2 chicken. This would have been 5 starts, but there were a couple of factors that was not as good. My husband's chicken sandwich was supposed to have sauce on the side, since I was going to take the sauce home for my leftovers, since my husband did not want sauce on his sandwich, but the sandwich came out tossed in the sauce....not what he wanted. But since it already took a while for our food to come out (I know everything is made fresh when ordered), he just ate it as is. Also the guy taking our order was not very attentive or knowledgeable. We had questions, since this was our first visit and he was not very clear with his answers. When my BIL ordered, he couldn't really give him a clear answer on his questions either. Plus my wings came out when everyone at the table had finished eating. Next time, I will order take out....but great food!!!

The potato salad immediately stood out--it was loaded with fresh dill and reminded me of a classic French-style potato salad. It was bright, fresh, and a nice change from the heavier, mayo-forward versions you usually find. The sandwich was packed with flavor. The homemade Caesar dressing had the perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and savory, and the crusty baguette added an amazing crunch with every bite. The chili crisp oil was the real game changer--it added a subtle heat, a touch of smokiness, and an extra layer of umami that elevated the entire sandwich. Every bite had the perfect combination of creamy, crunchy, and bold flavors. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Even though the line grew quickly while I was there, the shop felt organized and efficient, and it was easy to see why it's such a popular spot. The service was excellent, too. I was distracted on the phone with my insurance adjuster and completely missed a couple of questions while ordering, but the employee helping me was patient, friendly, and never made me feel rushed. Even after a long line formed behind me, my food came out surprisingly fast. Great food, great service, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to, to sit down in and take more IG worthy photos as I was in a rush today and had my order wrapped to take.

But yes, I was across the street grabbing some replenishables for my rig because I live on the road-- sadly. But on the bright side, I get to be everywhere and taste restaurants across the country, so not too bad. And today while delivering a load to Amazon LAS1 in Henderson, I decided to have lunch here at Block 9 Thai Street Eats. I like the layout. Ngl. If this restaurant opened in Steamboat Springs or say maybe Granby Colorado, the locals would probably storm in day and night. A blend of murals reminding you of that dream world created by Maurice Sendak in the book Where the Wild Things Are, and traditional Thai wood colors and pottery decorate the restaurant. I like the hues, the blues complementing the warm earth tones with dim yellow lighting fixtures. Ok, so the ambiance gets a 5/5. The food? This place is an order first then sit type of joint. I really and no idea what to get. Again the heat probably is restricting my appetite, but I went with a Chicken Penang, a Thai Hibiscus Lemonade and a Chicken Satay Appetizer. NGL, in regards to the chicken Satay, due to its overly dry and lack of moistureness, I think Alot of people will score better at a cheap Chinese buffet serving chicken skewers. 'because there's really no difference, I had one skewer and hesitated finishing the second. Maybe convert to chicken Thigh meat? Something with more fat built into it. The Penang gets a pass, but was nothing on the level of "I have to finish it right now," and probably because of the heat, I enjoyed the Hibiscus tea the most. For anyone that wants to experience really good chicken that maintains its moisture and just somehow ended up in Los Angeles, go check out Gravitea Food Truck in San Gabriel CA. And order their Taiwanese Fried Chicken. They use Chicken Breast by the way, but they're able to retain all the juice and moisture in the chicken. So where was I, loved the tea, ate the Penang, want to skip the Satay. Overall I'm giving this place a 4/5. Overall vibes, sounds, food presentation, and service is above average. Probably need to come at night some time in the future for the bar scene.

Mind you it was at 11:15 A.M. and it's a fried chicken restaurant, so that's absolutely ridiculous to me. We waited about an hour for our food to come out with no updates on anything. They could've said they were understaffed or they forgot to put in our order or something but no updates, absolutely nothing. I think they were even trying to avoid us because we're Asian. Also, a party was seated after us and left 10mins after. Honestly, we should've followed their lead. Chicken were 6.5/10; size of the chicken were huge I'll give them that. Chicken wings were smokey, salty and dry. Asked for them make it spicy; was not spicy at all. Their unlabel hot sauce (louisana hot sauce) were water down. They like putting cold watermelon on hot plates, no idea what that's all about. We also got And to top it all off it took about 10 minutes after we requested the check for it to arrive. If it weren't for waitress standing over us and watching how much I was going to put down for tip, I would've tipped 4 dollars max. We felt like they really needed the money so we tipped 18%. 10/10 will never come back. And I'll be telling my friends not to come either.

So, I kinda HAD to drive 4 hours to try it that weekend. I'm a crispy/chewy edges fan, and this slice had a good edge that gave me that nice crunch without the bottom being crispy as well. Super long cheese-pull on the slice and fantastic flavor. Sauce wasn't too zesty or bland. It had just enough flavor to enhance the pizza without you focusing on it. The smashburger was decent, but the bun was the star. Soft and chewy, it didn't feel dry or flaky like a fast food burger. It was buttery and warm and the sauce was making all my tastebuds go crazy. A little sweet, a little savory, a little creamy all in one. If they sold it by the bottle, it would probably be your favorite burger dressing. The fries and the chicken tender were average. Good, filling and fresh, but nothing to write home about. The burgers and pizza slices are the main attraction. Got to meet the owners mother. Super sweet woman and you could tell she is SO proud of her son and how popular his restaurant is. She was working the register, giving orders to the crew and cleaning up all at the same time. Total sweetheart. The restaurant is small, with only 6-8 tables in the whole place. Each table seats 2 people, so it fills up fast.
