There are a couple reasons barton creek a/c was a pleasure to do business with. 1 - I called around asking for a ballpark/rough estimate for adding a return air vent to a media closet. Several companies I called wouldn't provide a rough estimate and instead wanted to send someone out for a nonrefundable service call to estimate the work. Barton Creek gave me a rough number and that's where we ended up. 2 - Shea and Brylon were knowledgeable and took the time to do the job right, they tested the job when they were done. They weren't happy with the return air suction power so they went back up and tied the return air into a different part of the system. Great experience with Barton Creek A/C. We had an odd issue with our HVAC on a Sunday and although they were not able to come out that day, they came almost first thing the next morning. The issue was identified and fixed quickly. When a second issue arose during the late afternoon after they left (completely unrelated to the first issue), they were back at our home first thing the next morning to identify the issue and fixed it immediately. One or our 2 a/c units quit on a Sunday. I called first thing Monday morning and BC/AC (Eddie) had someone at our home within 20 mins! Johnny was professional, courteous, and thorough. While troubleshooting to locate the problem, he kept us informed of what he was doing as he checked the HVAC system, and educated us on the general maintenance of our a/c unit. Ultimately it was a capacitor in the a/c unit which needed replacing. Johnny was forthcoming w/the cost of the part needed and satisfied our questions related to the work done as well as informing us of other services they provided should we need them in the future. I generally do not write many reviews on Yelp but Barton Creek A/C truly provided exceptional service. I called another company, that was highly rated on Yelp, and told them the fan on my external unit was not spinning. They said they would come out the next day first thing. Morning comes and passes no A/C tech. So I call and they say that they would be there soon. 3 hours pass and no tech. Fed up and sweating I called Barton Creek A/C. 30 minutes later Johnny was at more door. 10 minutes later the problem was fixed and A/C was back up and running. He also reminded me to change my filters if I hadn't already. You don't have to call Barton Creek A/C, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did. read more

The guys at Barton Creek are amazing! I had a minor emergency when my AC went out Thursday night. I have a small daycare in my home and couldn't be without AC in this hot Texas weather! I contacted them way after hours and heard back first thing in the morning. My babies didn't even break a sweat. This has been bugging me for a couple of weeks now, so here is my review. I was desperate to have my AC fixed and after calling a few places, this company promptly came out and diagnosed my AC system for a little over 100 bucks. That is right, they charged me just to look at it. They put in 4 pounds of R22 and charged me 500 bucks. Total bill came to 650 buck. I know R22 is expensive, but really, 125 dollars a pound? I could buy a 30lb can of R22 off craigslist for 300-500 dollars. Next time, I will be calling someone else who will likely be cheaper. Pros: Customer service is great. Cons: VERY expensive. You might want to offer "Free Estimates" if you plan to stay in business. read more

Johnny has always been friendly, easy to contact and ready to help whether a service call is needed or just to make trouble shooting recommendations over the phone. I'm utterly shocked at how amazing these guys are.... The best companies in the world make every effort to delight their clients and these guys did. Our second AC went out, at the same time as the first, and we called Barton Creek A/C, the owner showed up within the hour. To get us through the night, they tuned up the old AC to last until the next morning, since we had 2 kids and an over heated baby the night before. They immediately updated the home warranty claim and were at the house the next morning with the new unit and installed it in 4Hrs! Well it gets better, the other AC man (remember I had 2 out) was a nightmare and the following day, that upstairs AC was leaking all over my attic - thank goodness I caught it! Again, the owner of BC/AC showed up on Sunday (his day off) which was the next morning and got it fixed. I'm so pleased with these guys..., I'd recommend them to anyone. They're nice, friendly, and swift; did all the warranty work asap and did a clean job. They are coming back to fix the other guys other mistakes. Best experience I've ever had with any service provider (home owner for 10y), I wouldn't think twice about calling anyone else. Excellent service from the initial phone call to the service performed. very reasonable pricing, and by far the only AC service to use in town. They did not try and sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need. I own two homes. They evaluated both units, serviced both and gave me a heads up of what to possibly expect down the road with my two old '98 crane model units. I called these guys on a Sunday when we found water stains on our ceiling. I left a message for them, expecting them to get back to me on Monday. However, Eddie called me back within 5 minutes and walked me through some DIY tips to help temporarily resolve the issue. Johnny was at my house by 11am the next morning, fixing the problem. He was professional and took the time to explain everything twice, once to me and a second time on the phone to my husband, plus he answered several other general AC questions for us before leaving. Unfortunately, it turned out our AC had a secondary issue that showed itself later that afternoon and our original tech (Johnny) was on another call at the time so I called the office and Eddie was at our house within 15 minutes helping us resolve it. He even called us back after leaving with additional feedback on our damages, which showed us that he genuinely wanted to help. They came back a third time as soon as they had the part we needed and promptly repaired that as well. And even though it was unclear whether the secondary issue was pre-existing or occurred after the first service call, they refused to charge us for the second service. During this ordeal, Eddie made us feel like we were their only customer; he was prompt, attentive, and helpful.
