    3 piece cod and chips

This place is undergoing some growing pains, recent closures due to lack of staffing. Menu has temporarily reduced options. Fish was good, slightly undercooked on one piece of cod, but otherwise tasty. Chowder was tasty **Actual name of restaurant is "The Battered Fish and Chips"

Fish N Chips in Tualatin delivers exactly what the name promises; solid, no frills fried seafood at a reasonable price. While it's not the best fish and chips you'll ever have, it's definitely a satisfying option if you're craving crispy fried fish with a good crunch. The batter is light and crisp, and the fish itself is fresh and flaky. Prices are about $13-$33 per fish basket & it's dependent on the type of fish you choose & how many pieces you want. It comes with a side of fries & coleslaw to round out the meal. The lemonade comes in a can, which is convenient but might not be what some customers expect. The sauce selection is decent, offering options like tartar, cocktail, mango chili and other dipping sauces. However, they're a bit stingy with it, you get one small container per order, and if you want more, you'll have to pay extra .50 each. They offer clam chowder, panko shrimp basket, fried oysters and other items too. Service is efficient, but it's mostly self service after they bring your food to the table. You'll need to grab your own utensils, napkins, and any extras you need. The atmosphere is casual, making it a good spot for a quick bite rather than a sit down dining experience. Overall, Fish N Chips in Tualatin is a solid choice if you're looking for simple, well cooked fried fish without breaking the bank. Just be prepared to pay extra for sauces and do a bit of the work yourself!

We did a work lunch order and between us we got the cod fish and chips, oysters, fried pickles, onion rings and fish tacos. Everything we tried was really good and we will be back again soon.

Wow where do i even begin, came here today for Lunch cause a friend told me of a new fish n chips place, walked in it was dead af, ordered the Captains Platter assuming it would be a "platter" it was far from it, the oysters tasted bad so i tossed them out the window, the coconut shrimp all i could taste was the coconut, and the fish omg HORRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE no flavor whatsoever not even a fish taste, honestly tasted like a tv dinner breaded fish, the chips even sucks, pass this place up everything's overpriced, i wont recommend or come back EVVVVER, im so disappointed

The cod was okay, the halibut was much better. Still moist on the inside. Their fries are great. Worth trying!

Ask the Community - The battered Fish N Chips

Is there eggs or milk in the batter?

Honestly I'm not sure. With how the batter sticks to the fish I would assume there's egg.

The location This…read moreuse to be the Haydens Grill location, when I lived in Tualatin we use to visit this building, this weekend my friend and I decided to visit Brix Tavern for breakfast. The building has many large seating sections with a variety of seating, indoor, bar, outdoor seating under the trellis or a table next to the pond. They have ample parking for all options. As we walked into the building we were greeted by a friendly staff member, we were offered our choice of seating for two, we chose to sit outside under the trellis. It was a clear day with great views of the pond and nearby businesses, very tranquil setting. The food The menu , they have Brunch, Omelets with a large option of Breakfast Favorites such as country fried Chicken & Eggs to Huevos Rancheros. We ordered the Ham & Cheese Omelet with Hash Browns, it was an ample serving of food, well cooked to our liking, we also ordered the Huevos Rancheros , it is served typically with Mole, I asked if I could have it prepared without Mole and they were very accommodating, the dish is served with black beans, smoked cheddar, eggs at your liking, salsa, cilantro and fresh chiles. It is a legit Rancheros dish, I also asked for bacon and it was included. Very good tasting dish, plenty of food with a hardy appetite.

My daughter & I went for Sunday brunch 5/24/26. We arrived…read moreabout 12:30 & were promptly greeted nicely by the bartender. He gave us menus & said we could sit wherever we wanted, he showed us where their water station is in case we wanted water. Our server, Amber, came by & introduced herself and the bartender- I thought that was a nice touch to introduce the bartender. Having been a server for over 37 years, I really like it when staff work together & take care of each other! She asked if we wanted any beverages, my daughter ordered coffee & I said I was just going to grab a water- she said she would bring it to me. My daughter ordered corned beef hash & a gluten free english muffin- she was thrilled to have a gf option! I ordered the country benedict. Our food came out looking REALLY good, the potatoes were nice & golden brown. We both ordered our poached eggs medium & that is exactly how they came out. Everything was very delicious & the portions were large- we both need to-go boxes. The coffee was refilled 3 or 4 times without having to ask. They actually smoke their meats out on their patio which we thought was cool! The place was nice & clean, the staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Kudos to Amber, the bartender, & the chef! The only thing I didn't like was if you use a credit/debit card there is a fee. I very much recommend Three Mermaids!

I agree with the 4 star rating that Three Mermaids has garnered so far. It was good...just not great. I had the Reuben Sliders and fries. Nothing special on the fries, and I was bothered that I couldn't have two different types of sliders?? Why? Ciabatta is also odd for a slider, and the Corned Beef was in chunks...not cut thin? My friend had the Chicken Tender Salad. She love it, and the tenders were cooked perfectly. The service was fine, again, nothing special. I would come back if I was in the area.
