This place was highly recommended by our tour guide but was a bit disappointing. Although I enjoyed the fish tacos of the day (fried grouper - 3 for $15), the ceviche and fish dip were not good. Made reservations online same day for a Wednesday night. Seated promptly in the dining room which overlooks the river. The Lobster crab potholes are drowned in garlic butter and served with crispy French bread sticks. $18 worth it and I would get again! Each section of the escargot dish they serve it in has a piece of lump crab and lobster bit. Corn bread comes with actual corn in it and served with with a sweet honey butter $6, was tasty and we poured the additional garlic butter from the potholes onto the bread as well. White bean and bacon soup came as a complimentary tasting and had a good smooth, creamy flavor Snapper special had light crispy crust potato's have chunks in them- small and soft though and the flavor of garlic and goat cheese combo is perfection. The asparagus was a perfect pairing as well. Snapper came with Roasted garlic and goat cheese mash asparagus jump lump crab topping with scallion and worcestershire vinegarette St Augustine stew- lots of fish, broth tastes like maybe a red pepper base, not too spicy at all. My husband added cracked pepper, red pepper flakes and parm cheese. It was thick and creamy. Wente Pinot noir - is an option for sustainable wine that was really good. They offer an extensive wine list, and have 2 different sustainables and one biodynamic wine available, prices start at $38/bottle. Jorge was an excellent and attentive waiter Lupita was ever present with water and sides. Leo brought complimentary soup and our dinner to table When I asked for lemons for my water I got A Plate of lemons which I appreciated and used! I received a Complimentary dessert because we were there for my birthday which was a funfetti cake (sprinkles inside white cake) layered with I think buttercream icing. I Also ordered the crescent city beignets- not sweet, not too much cinnamon, but also not that good (to me) everything else was significantly impressive so I would just try a different dessert or focus on food. Such a great dining experience. Went on a weeknight about 75 minutes before closing prepared to eat quickly and leave so as not to keep anyone. Beautiful restaurant and view. My waitress made it clear I should feel in no rush. She also offered recommendations when asked and was spot on. Cornbread is a must. Lobster Frites was perfectly tender with amazing salt and pepper fries that were simple yet delicious. The Old Fashioned was great, and the Chocolate Orange Mousse was a great capper. Took home some of the mousse and cornbread and it was good days later. You can get away with a less expensive, more casual meal or go all out. Both ends of the menu are great. From the moment we checked in, they knew we were celebrating a birthday and the employees around told my bf happy birthday! We love The Bay House and eat there often. It is a really big place that seats a massive amount of people, but their Valet Service is off the hook and you get in and out fast with your car. We have several favorite dishes, but the St Augustine Stew and Black Cod are two of our favorites. We've sat outside many times, but honestly it's hard to keep the bugs away and have shifted to sitting indoors. Great service and cool vibe with music in the bar/lounge. A lovely place to dine in Naples. the patio bars were a great way to start off an evening. While we didn't make it for the sunset, it is still nice to be seated waterside. we enjoyed the high tower with friends...plenty if oysters, shrimp, crab claws, 2 mini lobster tails and 2 dips...Pimento cheese which was excellent and a shrimp dip which was also very tasty. The only miss were the lobster claws...they were very soggy and extremely briney to the point they were not edible. Key lime pie for dessert made it a great end to an evening. oh? and for music lovers, they had a live band in the bar doing a nice job of 90s and 90s covers. read more

I live in Naples and have visited Bay House dozens of times over the last 5+ years. Usually can expect a nice meal with good service. Great bar live music and atmosphere. Tonight the bar music and weather were great, but it stopped there. I have not been for a pre-fixe menu but clearly this did not work well for restaurant. Waited 45 minutes to receive drinks and put in pre-fixe menu order. We noted 3 other tables in our section who sat after our 6:45pm reservation receiving food much before us. One hour after we ordered the waitress returned to table to verify our orders, 2 orders which were totally incorrect. Starter came out wrong. Finally the Waitress apologized for the meal taking 40+ Mins between courses while other tables seated after us had food. When our main course came, one was totally incorrect; the short ribs instead of chicken. We asked to review the experience with the manager. A young man (not the manager) came over and we told him we had been waiting 90 minutes for food which came wrong, and we no longer needed the incorrect entree. I told them I understood they might be short staffed between slow season and winter, and these things happen. We asked to please close our tab out and finish our food. The salmon was very cold likely from sitting for extended time. The bill came with the full cost of meal minus one entree that came wrong. No problem, we happily paid including gratuity. The managers continued to observe our table and received feedback about the dissatisfaction, looked several times at us but did not approach our table. They walked by it several times en route to other customers. Also not a problem, not looking for an apology or a comped free drink to make up for their mismanagement. After having been visiting Bay House for years it seems apparent the acquisition by a large chain restaurant group may have impacted their kitchen, and definitely customer service. Disappointing to see. As a Naples resident and business traveler I dine out 3-5X week. Bayhouse unfortunately have fallen off my list. read more

While I would definitely give the atmosphere, food, wine, and bar five stars, the outside area has a serious issue with biting gnats. Once the sun set, the back patio became completely infested with them and I had more than 100 bites while trying to have dinner. The bar is very light and bright. White Bar. I think it's quartz. Huge TV. They always have Golf Channel on. Which is Great! I had Eggs Benni with Blue Crab. It was Amazing. Tons of Blue Crab. Eggs were poached perfectly, nice bernaise sauce and the homefries were crispy fried but soft inside. Very Good Meal. Staff is great!! Can't wait to go back. read more

There's a reason that They Bay House is on everyone's list of must-try outdoor dining spots for Naples; I kept coming across this place as numerous websites (and Yelp reviews) touted great sunset views, amazing seafood, and superb location. Enough with the twisting our arms people - we'll check it out! We had a weeknight reservation for the main dining room around 8pm, but when I asked if there was outside seating available we were promptly escorted to a water-side table on the deck! How lucky!! In attempts to not over-eat once again, we decided to skip appetizers and salads, and each enjoy our own entrees. There was a delicious sounding special with Snapper, shrimp, and yummy grits, but there was something else on the menu calling my name. I LOVE lobster, but never order it because it's messy, expensive, and usually such a production (aka, I feel intimidated). But this time, I was going for it. I ordered the Paris Bistro-Style Lobster & Frites, which is split herb butter grilled tail, Bearnaise, salt & pepper frites, and a dressed rocket salad. The tails came split and grilled, so there was very little lobster wrangling required to enjoy. The lobster was flavored and cooked to perfection, and I practically danced with happiness as I ate my way through that dish. It was so delicious, that I barely touched the frites (although my husband selflessly helped eat them towards the end)! The amount of lobster was plentiful - and in my opinion a great deal for only $36. My husband ordered the Berkshire Pork Prime Rib Chop, which was smoked white beans, chipotle cherry chutney, charred broccolini. He said it was delicious, and I was too in love with my own entree to even venture over to his plate for a taste! Hubby had a glass of wine which he really enjoyed, and I splurged on an iced tea! We came here fully expecting a delicious dinner with a hefty price tag. I was pleasantly surprised that the dinner was indeed delicious but wasn't as pricey as I was expecting. Service was prompt and gracious - we were not rushed nor forgotten about. The views were wonderful and the whole experience was exactly what we were looking for. Free valet parking is a plus too! There are various areas for seating: a tavern (windowed room overlooking beautiful views), a main dining room (with water views), a bar (no views here), and the deck (the best views, obviously). Some arugula, herloom tomato, onion, cucumber and a few pistachios. Salmon was alright, added salt for flavor, risotto overcooked, mushy and tasteless. Sword fish was a where's Waldo portion. Served over beans mushrooms and some maybe wild rice. Could not figure out what the sauce tasted like. Plus, the swordfish was overcooked. At $29 plus for an entree, you would think there would be an assortment of breads, butter, olive oil. Waiter said that they did not do that this season. We have cornbread, he said. So now this is a southern BBQ place. There are soooo many better places to go for dinner in Naples. Unless you on a date and looking to impress with this room and view. I am concerned that it is going to lose some of its homeliness when the GIGANTIC hotel opens next door. We had the big tower and the seafood was amazing. My wife and I were visiting from out of state and one of our main goals was to have a solid meal featuring local seafood, and this place nailed it. Drinks were reasonably priced (very reasonable considering the atmosphere) and the food was on point. We smashed the hamachi crudo and crab and corn bisque to start off with. The crudo was super fresh and the bisque hit the savory and rich side. Main courses were the lobster and crab potholes (literally just straight up crab meat and lobster with the butter) and the seafood spread with the local fish, shrimp and scallops. I was a little leery of the lemon risotto since it can often be too much, but the citrus was subtle and played well off of the lobster sauce with tobiko. Went there two nights ago for the first time. Atmosphere is cozy and great. Food not so much!!!! Australian wagyu beef options, which is chewy and overpriced at this restaurant. There were four of us. Only one of four dinners ordered were correct. Then the waiter argued with us on what we ordered. Then the manager offered us free dessert. Whooooo hoooooo!!! What a joke. Then one of the desserts had a hair in it. Then the manager said it was a plastic curl off the packaging of the dessert. I don't think either a hair or plastic is acceptable. Not impressed. My husband and I came here for a nice dinner while on vacation for our anniversary. We ordered the ceviche, poke, filet and scallops. Nothing was amazing. Food was all VERY bland. Unimpressed and extremely disappointed. We couldn't get an ocean view table, my fault for not making a reservation but they didn't try to Accommodate at all. I wish we picked a different restaurant. I went to the Bay House for the first time after seeing a beautiful picture of the fire place on Instagram. Some friends recommended me to go because I like seafoods so I decided to give it a try. I booked a table at the last minute and arrived around 8PM. I was happy to get a table close to the fire in the patio. I love that place, the decoration, the privacy, it's almost magic. Such a gem. The seafood tower was really great and the wine was just perfect and very generous. Overall everything was excellent. Now I want to congratulate the staff and specifically Carlos, Marcella and Elena (sorry for the wrong spelling!). They exceeded all the expectations. Carlos and Marcella have been amazing in the patio. They recommended the high seafood towers and the good wine, bring more lemons, the mayonnaise, took a picture of me and my friend, stay to discuss while serving other customers. It's what you can call the perfect service, even more than perfect, they did just an amazing job. Then they offered us a tour in the restaurant to show all the place. It was really nice from them and we discovered an amazing place. This restaurant is definitely the best one I saw in the past two years in Naples, I felt literally in love with it. We finished our wine on the other side with the view on the bay and Elena show us some raccoon playing close to the water, it was fun, she also discussed with us and entertained us. Excellent upscale seafood restaurant in north Naples. We sat in the dining room which is very grand but not too overly decorated. Before we got our meal we were served a small tasting of sweet potatoes soup - compliments of the chef. I could guess by the soup that the rest of the meal was going to be good. We started our meal with the fried oysters which were excellent- we got this because everyone had recommended this and they were all right. So creamy on the inside and crunch on the outside. The order comes with 6 pieces and good portion for 2 people. Then I moved on to the lobster bisque which was ok. It had very good flavor but it wasn't the thick bisque that I had expected but it was a thinner soup. But since we had so much food I was glad it wasn't too heavy in the end. For the entree I had the scallops which came with 3 large scallops on risotto (which was supposed to be lemon infused but I didn't taste much lemon) which was nice and creamy and it was all topped with crab meat. It also had cherry tomatoes which have it a good acidity and balance to the richness of the dish. My husband got the 2 lobster and petite filet and he said his lobster was over cooked just a tad. Finally moved on to the beignets which had 4 in a order and served with chocolate sauce and Carmel on the side. We were lucky to find a seat at the inside bar. Make a reservation if you want to dine at a table. They have a full menu of cold and warm seafood selections and an impressive seafood tower. The menu is complete with steak selections too but we opted to try their octopus app and a few glasses of wine. The octopus was perfectly charred and presented. It is served on a bed of farro with roasted peppers, tomatoes, herbed and a sriracha aioli. They have an extensive wine list. The servers were all very attentive and friendly. The valet staff was also very attentive and hustled to get us in our vehicle quickly. read more
