Cool spot! This place definitely has an old school vibe and there seemed to be a fair amount of regulars. My kinda place. Wait staff was friendly, food was tasty and reasonable.

Amazing service funny they love playing trivia feel nice and cozy inside the food was amazing they deserve all the business and can we talk about the prices nothing more then 14 bucks every thing is so cheap I fed 4 people for only 30 bucks that's how life should be simple and cheap ... I recommend make the right place popular TRY IT

My father had seen a feature on Chronicle about The Beef Barn and how they had not raised their prices in the recent years, and we just had to try it. We actually drove fairly far to get to the Bellingham location, but it was extremely worth it. The food was really high quality, and the service was incredibly quick. I think they could easily charge $6-7 for each of these sandwiches and we'd still think it was a great deal, but the fact that they haven't raised their prices is all the more reason to keep coming back. Turkey Burger ($4.75) - I didn't actually order this, but both my mother and my partner got it and I ended up having a few bites. The actual thickness of the patty was quite substantial, and my mother actually had trouble finishing her portion because it was so large. The patty was juicy and had nice grill marks on it that tasted of being on the barbecue, and it was an extremely well made burger. Next time I stop by , I'm definitely making this - the meat was really well seasoned and the ratio of meat to veggies to bun was spot on! Fish Sandwich ($4.50) - This was probably the most average of the 3 sandwiches, but for $4.50, it was still an excellent piece of fish with some nice veggies on a bun. The fish itself was a chunk of fish (not ground up like fish sticks), and it was nice and crispy. It was also large enough to cover the whole bun so can't complain here. Roast Beef ($4.75) - This was by far the highlight of the evening - the roast beef sandwich is absolutely to die for. The meat was so incredibly beefy - it tasted like actual beef instead of processed lunch meat, and it was so thin and soft that you didn't even have to chew it very much. Honestly, I think I would be able to eat this with just my gums. The meat was melt in your mouth delicious and tender, and the 3 oz. feels like enough to fill the whole sandwich, which was something we were worried about at first. I truly can't believe how delicious the meat was, and the roll was nice and fluffy as well. I would get this every day if I lived closer, and the price can't be beat. All in all, this is a stunning 5/5 stars. All of the sandwiches were great, and the price is amazing. We were able to feed 4 people for just around $30 and all of us were stuffed at the end of the meal. And not only that, the ingredients are incredibly fresh and flavorful. This is a gem of a find - definitely stop by if you are in the area (and make the trip if you are not!)

My friend bought me here for the first time today, and I was extremely impressed with the prices and food quality. This is a GREAT place for lunch. I did not think there was even a restaurant so decently priced left! HA! They have inside dining and outdoor in the nice weather seasons. The service is pretty good, no complaints. They serve all their food on disposable plates with disposable tableware. They serve alcoholic beverages and an abundant variety of desserts here as well, I did not order this time around, but I will next because I will most definitely be going back here. It is very cute and western looking by the way :)

Finally able to make a pit-stop at the Beef Barn in Bellingham. There are two locations (one in RI and one in MA) of the Beef Barn. This is an easy to find location in Bellingham. Easy parking and plenty of it. Upon entering the Bellingham location, I could tell right away that this location was a "classic"....a "throw back". Stools to sit at the counter were the first that I saw. It reminded me immediately of one my favorite breakfast spots where we use to sit at the counter to order breakfast! I arrived approx 12:15 and it was very busy during lunch. Just about as many people picking up to-go orders as there were sitting down to stay. I decided to stay and to sit at the counter. I was quickly served with a Coke and a menu. The counter where I was sitting had approx. 10 stools. 5 of the 10 stools were occupied when I arrived. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with mustard and pickle. I was told that I would get a full dill pickle which was pre-cut and that the mustard was already on the counter. I ordered a french frie, as well. As I was waiting, I noticed there were two young ladies working, who seemed to know almost all the customers. Conversations with different customers told me that they were probably regulars and customers who already knew what they wanted. I noticed there were several customers talking to each other, as well.....friends for sure. As soon as the food came, I noticed how small both the sandwich and the fries were. I was not surprised because of the price. For all three items that I ordered (sandwich, fries and drink), the total was $9.60. The food was great. The roast beef was fresh and the fries were hot and crispy! I finished my meal, paid and exited. I was in and out in 25-30 minutes. I give 5 stars because I am a fan of the throwback style. This place has great food, a great vibe, great prices, easy to park and superb service! I plan to check out the RI location at some point....Also, I would like to try out the milk shakes!

I went out with my bike group family for dinner like always nothing was wrong. Everything went perfect. One young lady came in and she took all of our beverage orders and went out and put them together. Then the regular server came in took all of our orders was able to separate them without having a problem because it was 18 of us there that evening. As always, I got the roast beef sandwich with the french fries and salad special and where can you go for like seven bucks and get all that food. My other half had the cheeseburger. And a soda. Everyone had wonderful choices. The food was excellent. It all came out together which when you have a party that big we normally aren't that lucky. But everything went fine. The only mixup was one guy didn't get a pickle he ordered, but they gave him an extra Because, they gave us to the wrong person and they ate it lol. I don't remember the name of the serve. I believe it might have been Jessica or Jennifer. But they were awesome as always never had a bad meal there always enjoy everything when we go to eat where it be our children or our friends it just isn't worth making. Roast beef sandwiches are always very full and if u leave hungry it'syour fault. I also got the dessert. The homemade strawberry rhubarb pie. I took one bite took the rest home.

I had the grilled octopus which was delicious and tender with a Mediterranean flair. I took a side of garlic broccoli which could have been cooked just a little bit more but was delicious. My wife had the fish and chips which I stole. A little bit of the chips were the best I've had. The fish was delicious. Of course we had to have a traditional old fashioned smoked which was quite a treat. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Funny and welcoming.. but what really killed it was the ambiance and Old Stone building with beautifully appointed decorations. It was a place that I would love to spend more time in. We've had fantastic food there in the past. Also some great drinks. There are a few reasons for the three though. One is that food can be hit or miss and I think prices are far too high for both the area and what you get. Example shown in my pic was a $35 "Steak Frites" entree, which was you can see is basically steak tips with tater tots and some random veggies and sauce put together in what was not the most appetizing manner. Unless the tots were handmade with exotic ingredients, this is not how a Steak Frites should be done, and even then Tots are a pretty low end alternative. Cocktails also on the high side, though the presentation of the smoked ones was really nice, even if the taste didn't warrant the price. Inside the place gets very noisy and the seating is too compacted, probably because they use a large part of the original building for the distillery operation. Also we went on a weekday, and their entire lot was filled, forcing us to find a grass strip to drive onto and park on. I think the reason was they had a private party on the second floor - I think perhaps they allowed too many guests there which took up most of their parking. Last thing about the menu .. we like that it changes, but this week there were not one but several dishes featuring Gochujang - an unusual flavor for sure, which I do like, but when I see something like that peppered across a menu it speaks to cost cutting in terms of trying to stretch one key ingredient. Just not that thrilled with where the menu is at the moment. The outside seating area is great and eliminates the interior noise problems. And I'll add we had a fantastic server! We will definitely come back, but if the prices remain as high and the food and drinks continue to be a mixed bag, that may not remain the case. And please don't overbook private parties unless you can take over the industrial business next door and expand the parking significantly.

They've been churning out ice cream (pun intended) for almost 50 years. Today was my first time going inside the shop. In past times, I had ordered at the window. I also got some apple flavored crocodile gummies and I was on my way. The cookie butter surprised me. They have a very good list of hard ice cream, including specials like cereal milk and golden oreos. I also appreciated how they had a sign with the different name of the cones since I always mix up sugar with wafer and sugar with waffle. I sampled the cereal milk and it tasted exactly how I thought it would, but ultimately, I liked cinnamon oat cookie and raspberry cheesecake a little more. Servings sizes are good, the staff was fast and efficient, and prices are fair.
