I went for a dinner party and overall had a decent experience. It would definitely not be my first choice for dinner, however, according to these other Yelp reviews, breakfast seems to be their thing. I had the branzino, which reflecting back am not sure why I thought that was a good idea (because who orders fish at a glorified diner). If you were to eat here, definitely stick with the basics. The Greek salad was okay - I would get it again, but in general I do not anticipate eating there again. With respect to the service, I actually thought it wasn't half bad, however it did seem like a slow night which definitely could have been a huge factor. Hope this review helps, and don't mean to shit on this place... again, it just seems like more of a diner rather than restaurant and I didn't think the food was worth raving about. read more

My first take out from this restaurant which has been recommend to me multiple times. I finally had to give it a try. Got the turkey club for dinner & my boyfriend got the chicken ceasar wrap. Both came with a side of fries. We also got the white chocolate vanilla cream pie, very rich and tasty in flavor, in other words phenomenal. Large dinner portions. We came here for breakfast on Sat and thought the breakfast was just ok. The inside was charming, and was seating in two rooms, but the first room is not large at all, it was at tight space. The second room was a little larger but not as charming looking as the first. We ordered the Belgian Waffle with fresh Strawberries and real Maple syrup. The Waffle when it came out was not hot, and I expect my food to come out hot - this was very disappointing. My friend said the Western Omelet was good, and came out hot, not like my Waffle. All and all, the service was good, and the staff friendly - they did not rush us out after our meal even when the place started to get crowded. Honestly, I do not think we will be returning because the Beehive is just too far of a drive from were we live and secondly, my Waffle was not hot. read more

Party of 6 for brunch on Saturday morning around 10:30 am. We could not get advanced seating and waited about 30 minutes once we arrived. It was cool and rainy so waiting outside was not do-able. Very cramped area waiting to be seated with a small bench in the front area that holds 2 or 3 people. That was not pleasant. But once seated we had a very nice large table and excellent service. The restaurant is a good size (2 rooms), contemporary and high energy kinda place. Lots of servers and bus boys all over. We all ordered traditional breakfast foods...omelets, french toast, bacon etc. My feta omelet was good but still I have had much better. Home-fried potatoes had a tad spicy red and green pepper in it and I prefer no peppers. Portions were large but still we all managed to clean our plates. The coffee was excellent and served hot just the way I like it. I think most people would enjoy this pick. read more

Beehive has become my "go to" choice for lunch with my 90-something dad. They've got something for everyone. I particularly like the Bloody Mary and any of the eggs Benedict variations though I'm a little particular to the "crabby Benny" that replaces Canadian bacon with a crab cake. Just had a great lunch here- as others have noted, the menu is quite diverse. I had the filet mignon quesadilla and it was excellent. It was also ready in a hurry and I appreciate that. Our server Peter was excellent -just the right amount of cheer and was on his toes to give good service. It has been around for years but lately there's been quite a "buzz" about this place. This is our 2nd dinner and it was as good as the first. We ordered several dishes. The souvlaki was fresh and sweet potato fries were real good, the broiled red snapper with spinach was also quite fresh. The Salmon salad was also fresh and good. The Banana Cream Pie was awesome. We will be back for Brunch on Mothers Day. The brunch menu looks great and changes every week. First, let me start by saying that I live 30 minutes away and there is absolutely nothing else in the area that I go to. I take the drive to Armonk for the sole purpose of going to brunch at the Beehive. Secondly, I can only speak for their breakfast/brunch. I have never had other meals here. So why make the trip for brunch? The food is delicious - I've never tried anything I didn't like - portions are enormous, and prices are reasonable. It's win, win, win. Ate at Beehive for the first time last week and was very impressed. A step above the diner with good food and decent prices. My group had everything from salads to soup to sandwiches (the Balboa was ridiculously large). I actually ordered the sole francaise bc a freidn had said they have fresh seafood and she was right- the fish was delicious and the portion was very generous. If I had gotten that dish at an upscale Italian resto I would have been happy. Good beers to boot. I'm a fan!! read more

The Beehive is one of the best restaurants in Westchester County. All bakery items are made in house and all food is fresh and cooked with excellence. The owners are very warm and hospitable and make you feel at home. We had the Calamari (cooked to perfection- not overlooked) spinach pie (home made) and the Bronzino and Swordfish were outstanding. This place is phenomenal. I came here for breakfast with my family and the staff is honestly the sweetest and very attentive. It's a really nice restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. We started off with a corn muffin and it was very warm and soft. My grandma ordered the salmon Benedict and it was very flavorful. My mom ordered the western Omelette and she enjoyed how fluffy the omelette was and the hash browns that came with it. My cousin ordered the banana Mac flap jacks and I can honestly say I've never enjoyed any pancakes more than these. They were absolutely amazing I could eat them forever. I kept it plain and simple and just ordered a brioche roll with bacon, egg, and cheese but it was very yummy. Out of all these I definitely recommend the banana Mac flap jacks you won't regret it. Flew into White Plains and needed a bite after a long flight. Saw Beehive and went. It is definitely a local haunt. It is definitely a cool place. Bar was small, intimate. The place exuded warmth. Warmth of character and personality. Manhattan clam-chowder -- uh-huh. Good. Crab cakes -- uh-huh. Good too. Swordfish prepared to perfection? Yes, that too. Everyone on the staff (namely Gina) was awesome and attentive. On a cold winter evening this was a lovely treat that warmed my frigid bones. To conclude the evening we were also given some homemade cookies to remember it all. I am not sure when I shall return to Armonk, New York -- but when I do I know exactly where I will go. read more

My family and I went for breakfast last Saturday morning. Our server was not very nice and was very impatient while taking our order. We were there at 9:00 when they opened. However, the coffee tasted burnt and not fresh. We didn't drink the coffee and ordered cappuccinos instead. I told our server the coffee did not taste good. He just ignored me and walked away. Also, my cousin asked for fruit on her waffle and was told there would be an extra charge, which is fine. The food took a very long time to come out and when it did we asked for real maple syrup. He did not tell us that real syrup would cost extra as well. While we were eating he never once came by to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. In the end, we agreed that his service was horrible and we did not want to leave the recommended tip. We left $3.00 less. After paying the bill, he came back over to the table and started counting the money aloud and placing it on the table next to me. He asked if that was his tip. I told him it was because his service was terrible. I mentioned the coffee that we were still charged for even though we didn't drink it and had to order cappuccino instead. He said it's not his fault if we didn't like the coffee. He just kept saying "Okay...this is my tip...okay."Finally I said I was sorry we left any tip at all and if he doesn't want it he could give it back to me (which he didn't). I also told the manager on the way out who told me I should have said something while we were eating. Not sure how I would have done that when the worst part happened after we paid. Went for breakfast this morning and ordered the Brioche French Toast our waiter Gill told me they didn't have it today and suggested the Cornflake French Toast , he said I would love it and he was spot on! It had fresh slices of strawberries and fresh blueberries on top it was Amazing!!It is now my new favorite,oh the coffee so delicious,I'm a Starbucks fan but this coffee was even better!! I've been here multiple times and always seem to have a relatively good experience. The food is good a bit over price for the quality and cuisine (upscale dinner with a twist), but overall a solid spot if you want something simple and good. What got me to Yelp was my experience here about a week ago. Me and my friend decided to dine here and we where the first ones in the door to a 1/3 filled restaurant. We waited about 1 minute before the server greeted us. During that time I noticed 2 booths open and like past experience we would be walked to our place in a booth. The hostess looked over to see what was available and while she looked to see where she can seat us (toward where the booths were) an older couple walked in. When she returned she saw the older couple and completely avoided us and took them in. We stood waiting when another couple walked in waiting as well. Then, another older couple walked in and the hostess saw them and walked them in. We overheard her say they reserved the booths. While outlandish as this sounds I accepted it. I was completely dumbfounded why we couldn't be seated first before the other older couples who arrived after us. I didn't care where they sat us it was completely inconsiderate and unprofessional not to serve your guess in an orderly courteous way. We waited 5-7 minutes wondering what's going on here along with another couple. Finally the hostess came back with another server and made her seat us in the main dining room smack dab in the middle. In addition to this we where served by their younger perhaps less experienced staff as our service experience showed (still did a reasonable service). What I suspect was the older people who arrived after us must be regulars who must have their way. In addition the white hair and pearl necklaces take priority over professional individuals in their 30s and 40s. Our money must not be green enough on a consistent basis for the hostess to care I suppose. This was such a slap in the face, rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional it left a bad taste in my mouth. Probably won't be back anytime soon. The Mount Kisco dinner is very similar to this place and knows how to handle their guess in an orderly way, even when the line is out the door. read more

I was expecting a great brunch and great experience as this was voted one of the best brunch places in Westchester. We went today for brunch, there was no wait for a table yet we sat there waiting and waiting for someone to take our order. A waitress and waiter actually stood right next to our table and discussed which one of them was going to serve us and which one was going to go serve the outside tables. They both walked outside and neither of them took our order. Another waiter came over and asked if anyone has come over yet and we said no so he took our order. Then the waitress got mad and took the table from him but was nasty to us the whole time. The food was nothing special, ok at best. We will not go back to this place again. We eat here frequently, as our "go to" restaurant. I would give 5 stars to the quality and the portions of the food, which are both excellent. I give 4 stars because of the service. After we order our food, it is very hard to find the attention of the wait staff, especially when we're finished and we're looking to order desert, which sometimes takes so long that we just take the check. The desserts are homemade and tasty, but I will say for $7 the slices of cake are very small, especially in comparison to the large portion served for dinner. read more

I am a regular customer here. I live in Armonk, and as such, come here quite often. I'm not sure what happened the last few times I went there, but the food has been consistently terrible recently. I went here today at 12:30 PM and waited an hour and a half for food. When we finally did receive our order, the chicken souvlaki was dry and hard as a rock, the eggs benedict came out without hollandaise sauce, the mussels oreganata had no sauce whatsoever and was cold, and the crabcakes were burnt to a crisp. We had also ordered a calamari appetizer, which took equally as long to come out and was ice cold. Our waitress was inattentive, and only came over to give us our food and give us the check. I am really disappointed in the direction this place is headed, and will not be coming back. read more

This spot has a great eclectic menu. The first time I had fish tacos, a very hearty portion so I ended up taking one home. It was very fresh and the sauce was nicely spicy. The next time I went I had the French dip sandwich which was to die for. The beef was tender and very tasty, with a scattering of fried onions on a nice crusty roll that was soft inside. Of course, it comes with a cup of beef jus. Wonderful food, cute restaurant, I've never been disappointed. Now that they're open for take out, I'm on my way there this weekend!
