The ribs were decent the yams were awful not appealing to the eyes or the tastebuds.

Pass pass pass this place. No refunds so try it at your on risk. Very expensive for what they offer. Serving sizes are small.

The large order of okra was such a great value. It was very crispy as well! The okra got a 9/10. The fried shrimp was soggy, and that was probably bc it was underneath the catfish. It was still pretty good. I give it a 7.5/10. I would just get catfish if I were to come back. I came in, and the cashier was super sweet! I would definitely come back. Overall, a 8/10 for my experience!

Was told by lady that it wouldn't be ready until 2pm because the catfish tails had to thaw (?) but that she would call us as the food was being dropped in to the oil so we could be there to grab it "fresh". Never happened. We left at 1:55pm anyway and got there at 2:10pm and was told there were no tails thawed. WHAT THE FREAK? They offered to comp us and allow me to get something else, but then suddenly a guy from the back appeared and there were magically 4 thawed tails cooking. Got food at 2:32pm. Got back to the office 15 min after that. The fries are under seasoned and just a throw away, which is fine. I didn't come here for the fries. The tails are too dark - the oil the were cooked in wasn't right. It tasted sort of old and stale and the tops of the tails with the meat in them were cold in the middle, so these weren't thawed enough I guess. I'm going to throw them in the air fryer when I get home to salvage them but overall, I'm giving this meal two Gary Buseys because it's crazy to me that it took two hours from ordering to eating to get fried food. Won't be a returning customer.

I have never experienced anything like it! For starters, the staff was phenomenal! Our waitress was so sweet! And while we were enjoying our feast, they even broke out into dance! LOL! Dinner and a show! I will say, there is no menu...I know, bare with me! But the entire meal is family style, and all you choose is your protein which is then brought out family style as well enough to feed the table! At first I couldn't believe it and then they brought out the salad and then followed all the sides! And I am talking mash potatoes, green beans, biscuits, gravy, corn! It was endless! And sure enough when we finished something, it was quickly picked up and refilled! I ordered the catfish and my partner got fried chicken and let me just say...10/10! They brought out the crispiest fried fish and chicken ever and it was enough to feed us both with leftovers! I would definitely recommend this place for any family celebration or outing with friend! It was a perfect dinner! We cannot wait to return!

When I arrived, I was waiting on two family members who were about 10 minutes away, so I went ahead to put our name in. The hostess told me I could go right in, which made it seem like a table was ready, but she never took my name or wrote anything down. After I explained I was waiting for two others, she said "okay" and then started taking names and numbers from other parties, leaving me off to the side without her saying anything else. It was odd, so I sat down. After sitting for maybe 5-7 minutes, I noticed she was taking names for parties of 2 and 3, which was confusing. When I asked about it, she said she already had my party and name even though she had never taken it. At that point, it felt like the Chinese restaurant episode of Seinfeld, where somehow you're waiting but also not really on the list. She finally took my name for a party of three and quoted a 30-45 minute wait, without accounting for the time already lost. My family members arrived shortly after, and we still waited another 20 minutes or so. Once we were seated, the service didn't improve much. Our server was extremely slow, and everything came out at once. We barely had time to get drinks, salads, or biscuits before the food arrived. Refills and additional requests felt more burdensome than attentive. While the food and drinks themselves were great, the overall service felt very disorganized and subpar.

For dinner we had the fried chicken, southern greens, and hop john rice. The chicken is one of the best. I can't think of one better. This place is truly something special, from the gracious hospitality to the incredible menu. The menu delivers elevated Southern comfort food that somehow manages to feel both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. I've worked my way through almost the entire menu over multiple visits, and I can honestly say that everything is incredible. Every time I take someone new there, I tell them that there hasn't been one dish that I've ever thought "meh" about. Every dish is so flavorful and outstanding. That said, I absolutely have my go-to order: the cornbread (a must), the southern greens, and the fried chicken. The cornbread is almost like a melt in your mouth dessert, that I happily start every visit with. The greens are packed with rich, savory flavor, and I'm not kidding when I say that every time I have them, I literally dream about them for weeks after. And the duck fat fried chicken? Crispy, juicy, and hands-down some of the best I've ever had. Beyond the food, the whole experience just feels thoughtful, from the quality of ingredients to the execution of every dish. You can tell there's real intention behind everything coming out of the kitchen. If you're anywhere near Farmers Branch, this spot is worth going out of your way for. And if it's your first visit--trust me, get the cornbread, southern greens, and fried chicken. You'll be dreaming about it later.
