My wife and I were traveling from Savannah to Myrtle Beach and happened upon this little gem of a restaurant. It was mid afternoon and we were greeted enthusiastically by one of the owners, who had a great smile and inviting personality. The menu had a good variety of items and we ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad and the Brett burger. My with said it was one of the best caesar salads she has ever had. Lettuce cold and crisp, chicken warm implying freshly grilled but the best were the homemade croutons - delish. My burger came out cooked to a perfect mid-rare, the tater tots hot and seasoned nicely, but the best was the homemade ranch dressing. It's easily overlooked by many restaurants, but house made items taste better and are less expensive to make. If your traveling Rt17 thru Mcclellenville, SC this is a MUST stop.

Enjoyed the Tacos, music, ambiance and talking with the owner. Happened to be only place open in town on this date, so very happy it was Good. Beer was good too.

OMG good find! Got the flounder basket & added the extra shrimp with truffle fries & steamed broccoli...enough to split & was to die for! Then the owner talked us into dessert...cheesecake eggrolls. A picture is worth a 1000 words!

This is by far the best experience I have had at a seafood restaurant! Everything was reasonably priced, delicious, and the service was beyond amazing. Will definitely be back especially for the $10 dollar huge bucket of oysters!!!!

Stopped in on our way down 17S to Charleston. What a find! Great food, decent prices and ice cold beer. I had the fried Shrimp basket with Parmesan truffle fries and my husband had the fried flounder sandwich with a garden salad. We also had ice cold beers. The shrimp...a dozen, large, very lightly breaded, I mean barely, fresh and perfectly cooked. The cocktail sauce was just spicy enough. The truffle fries were very tasty and there were lots of them. The flounder sandwich was also very good as was the salad. Was a good crowd for a Sunday night. If you're anywhere nearby, go there and support local business. We will be back!

I live here in SC and my nephew was visiting here during his college break from AZ. I decided to take him for a top-down drive in the Jeep up north to see a little of the low country, country-style. On the way we saw the sign for BJs and thought "why not", let's check it out. A little off the beaten path but we found it. The building had an open sign so we popped in, not realizing we opened the door to a small general store. When we asked the nice lady behind the counter about the lounge, she said "give me just a moment and come on over to the door next over." Well heck, it was early on a hot weekday but we were not disappointed. Shirley greeted us at her and her husband's lounge with cold drinks, snacks, and friendly conversation. What a treat! It reminded me of why I love South Carolina. Their lounge has a wonderful old jukebox, sports memorabilia, and an assortment of things to drink, of course. It was a pleasant surprise and we were so glad to have found the place. Me and my nephew won't forget the warm-hearted conversation with Shirley and I guarantee we'll be back. If you're in the area, don't shy away from the short detour off the main drag. It will be worth it. It's all about the people.

Instead, take a scenic detour to Georgetown's charming Front Street and Riverwalk, where dinner feels like the start of a mini vacation. We pulled into Buzz's Roost around 8 p.m. on a cool, damp Friday night in May, and the New England clam chowder was exactly what the doctor ordered. Warm, creamy, and comforting, it melted away the stress of the workweek with the very first spoonful. Our blackened fresh fish sandwiches were outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the seasoning had just the right kick to remind you that simple food can still be unforgettable. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. With its exposed brick interior and waterfront setting, Buzz's Roost feels like a cozy warehouse transformed into a laid-back riverfront hangout. Friendly service made us feel right at home, and the skeeball and foosball tables were tempting enough that we're already planning a return visit. I can easily picture coming back on a warm summer evening--or even during football season--to soak in the Riverwalk views, enjoy a great meal, and unwind. They also brew their own beer, which is a nice touch. My only wish is that they offered a non-alcoholic beer on draft for those of us making the road trip and keeping it light. Buzz's Roost is more than just a restaurant stop--it's a reminder that sometimes the best part of the journey is pulling over and discovering a place you can't wait to revisit.

Every dish felt curated and intentional. We started with the crab dip and corn bread and both were delicious. The Miso butter that comes with the cornbread gave it such a pleasant Umami note. For dinner we had the Chicken, Scallops, Pork Chop, and Shrimp and Grits. The carrot puree that held the scallops was so smooth, sweet, and rich. It complimented the scallops perfectly. My shrimp and grits were fantastic. The grits were the perfect texture, and the shrimp cooked to perfection. The bone in pork chop was perfectly cooked, was seasoned so well, and extremely tender and juicy. I think I was most impressed with the chicken, sweet potatoes, and bacon jam. It's hard to explain but the bourbon bacon jam almost tasted like how it smells when they smoke a cocktail, in the best way. The sweet potatoes tasted incredible and balanced out the savory chicken. I really can't recommend this resteraunt enough. From the food, to the service and the ambiance, everything was fantastic. I've dined at a handful of Michelin starred resteraunts and the overall quality and completion of the dishes here easily competes and surpasses those experiences. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner
