What a great find on my trip. Great food and portions were huge! Our waitress was brand new and she did an excellent job!

A little wait but it was worth it I ordered a chicken & waffle and it was delicious and they served really big pancakes, waffles and biscuits and good looking options for food and it's really comfortable here

This location definitely isn't what it used to be. Prices have gone up while portions and pace of service have not. The décor is more modern instead of traditional. I miss the old newspaper clippings on the walls. Sports always being on the TVs doesn't appeal to me either. Is there a reason local news isn't an option? There was a puddle of butter on my toast this morning and far more vegetables than eggs in my Lean & Green Scramble (the vegetable amount was fine, but it merited another egg). I appreciate the ability to swap out mushrooms for tomatoes though. More substitutions should be allowed (i.e. fruit for potatoes), and where are the turkey bacon or chicken sausage alternatives? I'm SO glad Mariah's back now! Y'all need to do whatever it takes to keep her!! That young woman's a gem FOR SURE!!!

The servers are always kind and on top of everything. My boyfriend and I love coming early because it's quieter but if you come later it will be loud. Food is always good. I prefer this place over most breakfast places.

We walked in the door and greeted with a smile and a "good morning". Our waitress, Misty, asked if we'd be there before and we had been to the Liberty location not this one - this is the 1st one. Sooo they gave a sticky bun brought out by the owner. OMG talk about melt in your mouth heavenly. Their gravy is flavorful and all was cooked to perfection. Service is friendly and fast and the place is super clean. You should stop by!

Went to the original The Big Biscuit in Independence and wow, the portions are huge! The friend chicken is outrageous and the sticky biscuit was swimming in melted sugar, cinnamon and icing-that's wasn't a bad thing. Leave the calorie counting at the door! Friendly staff too!

Went for breakfast during a weekend in KC. Food came out fast and was really good. The flavored lemonades were awesome and the combinations were some I haven't seen before. Bought 2 of the coffee cups and they are the perfect size for my coffee at home! Definitely would go again when we go back down for other events.

Cowboy Benedict & Country fried chicken and eggs. Sticky biscuit oh, hand pattied sausage patties. Single biscuit with gravel bowl.

We were on our way home from vacation and I was looking for a decent breakfast place and I found this gem. The food was delicious and our waitress was so nice and because it was our first time there we got a free big sticky bun. It was so good within itself! The place was cute and all. If we are ever that way again we will be back!

It seemed to be placed under a heat lamp until the meat was dried out, than slathed with brown gravy just before serving. I received one carrot, a piece of potato and mashed potatoes drowned in brown gravy. Edible, but not worth what we were charged. For me, the highlight was going to be Apple Cobbler a la Mode. The presentation was spectacular, but the menu clearly stated that this was baked in their kitchen. I took one spoonful and it was still partially frozen. I sent it back, and was told it would be put back in the oven, but it was back in two minutes, and the plate was piping hot. I asked if went back into the oven, and was told it was put into a microwave oven. It was at best luke warm, so I ate the ice cream and left the entire cobbler, less two small spoonfuls, on the table. I was offered a to go box, which I refused. I was there with my sons, who didn't want me to make a scene. Had I been there by myself, I would have had a long, difficult conversation with the manager. I may go back for breakfast (which is served all day), but not for lunch or dinner. I would have gotten the same level of food if I bought a Healthy Choice frozen dinner.

We were seated right away as a party of 8, which was great for a larger group. Unfortunately, the experience this time was really slow when it came to food service. The interior is sleek, mercifully air-conditioned, and remarkably clean despite the moody lighting. Our party was seated almost immediately, and our server was a delight. Exhibit A: The Rum Root Beer Float The Defense recommended this beverage, and while it tasted fantastic, the Prosecution requests exploratory evidence as to whether any actual rum was present. Multiple eyewitnesses at the table cross-examined their own floats and reached the exact same conclusion: zero detectable alcohol. Exhibit B: The Club Sandwich with Fries This main course will win over any jury. Perfectly toasted bread points loaded with roast beef, ham bacon, and a bacon jam that delivers a total flavor bomb. They offer daily specials, weekly trivia contests, and a live music. Entertainers generally play live music several nights a week. Sinclairs host mostly acoustic performers, mainly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Most of the entertainers feature guitar playing solo artists in the bar area. As for the food... it's all pretty tasty. Served in an upscale fashion. And worth mentioning is THE ABSOLUTE BEST MEATLOAF I have ever eaten outside of my own kitchen; and yes, possibly even better than my own... which speaks volumes because I'm generally an excellent cook and extremely particular diner. (Not bragging - just emphasizing that my standards are high). This meatloaf is hearty, rich, and moist, with a firm meaty texture (Not over done with fillers). It's cut generously and served over freshly mashed potatoes topped with a complex & flavorful sauce I'd liken to a rich brown gravy with a hint of herbs & possibly a tad bit of steak sauce for good measure... Its the star. I just wished they served this on their daily menu! Speaking of... their entire menu is thoughtfully made, and the chef deserves major kudos for their talents in the kitchen. In my opinion, $22 for an Easter brunch buffet should mean hot food that won't run out. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Our party of 10 arrived at 11:00am and all of the food in the buffet was cold. Even when they'd bring more of a certain item to replace on the buffet line, it wasn't warm. The only item that was hot was the prime rib at the carving station. Being pregnant, I felt extremely uncomfortable eating cold buffet food due to the increased risk of food poisoning, so I wasn't able to enjoy much beyond the room temperature biscuits and the last scrapings of the white gravy along with some green beans that were warmish. Defintely not worth the $22 a person. They also ran out of carrot cake on Easter of all holidays, which was a disappointment. We probably won't be back for a buffet at Sandy's, which is a shame because our family has eaten their Mother's Day buffet several times and it had been fine (not stellar, but fine). Also, just a personal opinion, but the constant use of bad AI pictures on their Facebook is so cringey. The Boomers might like it, but the younger crowd sees this sort of stuff and thinks "yikes."
