The Big Biscuit is a solid spot, especially if you're looking for a dog-friendly patio! I brought my pug, Mojo, and loved that he could hang out with us while we ate. We started with the strawberry cronut, which was amazing--like a perfect mix of a donut and funnel cake. Easily the best appetizer I've had in a while. I got the breakfast burger and an iced mocha. Went for brunch with a friend today and I wasn't very impressed. The food was decent but not necessarily good. The service wasn't good. The staff spent most of the time we were there standing in a group talking to each other. One of them came to our table and asked if we were going to buy him something today. It was a really strange thing. I think he was trying to be funny but he wouldn't leave it alone. We were trying to catch up with each other but he made it so we couldn't talk. I discovered we could join a wait list after we'd arrived. For a Sunday morning it was busy for sure but they sat us pretty quickly. They had a wide variety drink menu. The big biscuit was indeed very good with its biscuits. Two members of our party got the biscuits and gravy and loved it. I had the French toast plate which was excellent and the breakfast potatoes were yummy. The child got chicken fingers and said they were ok. I tasted one and it was a bit heavy on the pepper and it tasted mildly of freezer burn so I don't believe them to be fresh but I could be wrong. The server was very kind and attentive. On our way to run errands, we stopped for breakfast at The Big Biscuit. Let me just say, if you're coming in on a Sunday, early is better. We got there shortly after 8am and were seated immediately. By 9 all the tables were full and there were parties waiting their turns. Our server was super friendly and helpful and tailored a combo to exactly what I wanted. I ordered their egg and meat breakfast plate and subbed a gingerbread pancake instead of potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly and their housemade sausage patties are excellent. Theyre a little on the thin side, but not dry as you might expect from a thinner patty and the flavor is on point. The pancake is definitely the star of the show, though. I can't even explain how good this was. It was fluffy and sweet and spicy. The amount of frosting on top was perfect without being overwhelming and the gingerbread spiciness was just delicious. Our first time here. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Also recommend to us. Great attitude here, lots of early morning people that are happy to serve. You can smell the bacon as you walk up to the door. Made us more hungry. We checked in on Yelp, but it wasn't busy when we got here. I like using the Yelp app to get on a waitlist. We were welcomed with a smile, and seated quickly. Coffee was hot and smelled great. Table is set up with creamers, sugar. Menu was just double sided. So they had a focus on breakfast and lunch. I like that more than having a 5 page menu. The mine has great descriptions of the food being prepared. So, now onto the food. We shared the western omelette, came with potatoes. The omelette was done great, had ham and pepper and onions. We really enjoyed the potatoes, seasoned just right, and fried perfectly. I pulled an Eric and ordered the single biscuit and gravy, in his memory. Just so we can try something this restaurant is known for. The gravy was creamy and had some sausage, the biscuit was smothered with this gravy. It was good. Also ordered the pancakes, they smelled great, but they were dense, not airy. The pancake two to. We stopped in on a Sunday, 1 hour before close. We didn't have to wait, our food came out within 20 minutes, our service was great and the food was yummy. I see the reviews are so hit or miss which makes it hard to know whether to come or not. I would absolutely give this place a try and make sure you get the right thing. I got the breakfast platter with pancakes, all three meats, hash browns and eggs. The eggs tasted legit which is always a positive, the pancakes were so fluffy and yummy, and bacon was cooked so well. It wasn't too crunchy and had a ton of flavor. My husband didn't complain about his chicken fried steak Benedict and the biscuit was super yummy! The environment is a little loud just due to the high ceilings and echoing ability, but it wasn't so loud that it bothered us. I'd definitely come again! read more

Do not place carry out orders here. I came in and was at the carry out area, and I had to pull a server just to get an update on my order. Once I was finally able to get service for my carry out order. I waited over 40 mins after the order was supposed to be ready. The worst thing about all this was they had over a dozen empty tables. The only nice service I got was the manager apologized for the wait which I do appreciate. However, waiting 40 mins extra for a carry out order is beyond ridiculous. I've been here a couple of times and each time my overall experience was good! The staff is so friendly and attentive. I haven't had any issues with and staff and they are so good at checking in and making sure everything is good. I think this is my favorite location of the big biscuit because it feels fresh and new! You can tell it is a new build and they keep up with the menu. I've enjoyed their seasonal menu items as well. It's always fun to see what places come up with for different seasons. Their pumpkin pancake is awesome! I wish I lived closer to this location because if I did I would go more. I recommend going if you want good food with a family friendly atmosphere. read more

Well worth the price. I honestly think that you could share your order with a second person. I have dined here many times usually getting the french toast with sausage and scrambled eggs. I have also in the past, have gotten the pancakes with sausage patties and scrambled eggs. But this occasion, for my visit I got something out of the ordinary for my order....the cinnamon roll pancakes. These cinnamon roll pancakes are HUGE. In one order you get two.... that are if not as big, possibly bigger than a dinner plate. The top pancake has all the frosting on top, the one below doesn't have as much. The one on top actually looks like a cinnamon roll the one below it doesn't as much, but what's important is the taste and it was GREAT! There were even some parts where the frosting hit and got hard like a cinnamon roll so I liked that. Nice cinnamon spots on the pancake too. For me it was hard to finish one pancake on my own, if you can finish both of them you are the cinnamon rolls pancake champ. Sausage and/or bacon do not come with this plate it is an extra add-on. I always get a sausage patty because eating the pancake alone was a lot of sweetness, I had to balance it out. read more

To be true, this place deserves more then 5 stars. It is now my favorite breakfast place ever. My wife and I tried this place because the front desk attendant at the hotel we staying at raved about it. It ended up with them getting a large tip from us. I ordered the Mayberry. It was a sausage and cheddar omelet, hash browns and a biscuit covered in sausage gravy. It was delicious and huge. My wife ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. It consisted of 2 very, very large pancakes made with cinnamon filling swirled in and covered in creamy vanilla icing. It was beyond delicious. My wife said that we would we coming back here again just for these and we live 3 hours away from here. Finally, we shared a Loaded Sticky Biscuit. We both thought that my wife's pancakes were the high point of our meal, but this item proved us both wrong. This is a buttermilk biscuit baked in carmelized brown sugar, topped with warm creamy vanilla icing and covered in raises, cranberries and pecans. It was absolutely sinful. My wife and I both agreed that this was the best dessert we had ever had. We both waddled out and did not eat anything for the rest of the day. We will be back. Many times. read more

Alright this is a hard review so we will break it down in parts. Check in was awesome and super easy through the Yelp app and checked in when we arrived. Smooth sailing and waited for a table on site about 5-6 min. Ordered and waited this is where this store has work to do. My wife and I watched the frenzy of servers and staff run about in several different directions. It was just short of chaos. And justified for a Sunday morning. But the watching orders come to the wrong table and in some case watch servers go to the wrong table just to rebound and go to the other side of the restaurant. They wasted a lot of time and effort. Now the good. The food was up to their delightful standard and for us was not a large wait for our order. With time this restaurant will smooth out the wrinkles and be operational at full speed. Just not yet. I will be back to try this location again. Maybe in two months. read more

Don't go on Sunday. We've gone many times as this location is close to us. Every single time we've gone on Sunday, we've had a terrible experience. It's always slow, but we feel that's to be expected on a Sunday. Lately though, the service has just been progressively getting worse. Last time they skipped over us with seating, same size groups, further down in the very obvious, very public waitlist- while sitting in front of the host podium. And then didn't communicate with our server that we were seated, she saw us as she was walking back to the kitchen, not even sure we were in her section! But that one server saved the experience single-handedly. This time, I made certain to have the app ready to go in order to join the waitlist that way thinking it'd be better. Not really- only got a text, no calling the name. And the yelp app is quite glitchy. And dirty seats, that were swiped by the host as we were seated. This visit, we barely saw our waitress and had to flag down other workers to fix things. Only once we were IN THE MIDDLE OF PAYING, finally offered to refill drinks. Had several food issues, including eggs not as ordered AND COLD. The server that brought out the food dropped part, said as much and promised to be back with replacement. Never to be seen again. Our server never even apologized for the problems and just let others fix it. We thought our waitress changed and weren't even sure who was actually our server anymore! We finally saw her again with the new table next to us, and really putting on the charm that apparently we weren't worth. The only reason this isn't a one star is because the food is delicious. Honestly, I'd consider getting food to-go, but after browsing other reviews, it looks like to-go ordering is even worse. We would definitely go more often if the service was better. And I'm sad that we have to take this place out of rotation for recommending, but it's gotten embarrassing. read more
