Nice place! Clean and good vibe with a homey yet modern style. My food tasted great and I thought was a pretty nice price too. The waiting staff was helpful and friendly. Our food also came out quite quickly after ordering which was great. Their water has good ice in it too. Certified bussin

The Big Biscuit is a solid spot, especially if you're looking for a dog-friendly patio! I brought my pug, Mojo, and loved that he could hang out with us while we ate. We started with the strawberry cronut, which was amazing--like a perfect mix of a donut and funnel cake. Easily the best appetizer I've had in a while. I got the breakfast burger and an iced mocha. The burger was great, but the mocha tasted more like chocolate milk. She had the peach sweet tea lemonade and a breakfast egg bowl, and she loved hers. Everything was about $60. Great food, friendly vibes, and bonus points for being dog-friendly!

Got us in right away for a table for four on a busy Sunday morning. Service was nice, food came out fast & hot, and it was overall delicious. I would return if in town again!

A short wait for some good food! We ordered cinnamon roll pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, chicken fried chicken, and Nashville hot chicken and waffles for the four of us. It all came out quick. Not our first visit, and won't be out last.

On our way to run errands, we stopped for breakfast at The Big Biscuit. Let me just say, if you're coming in on a Sunday, early is better. We got there shortly after 8am and were seated immediately. By 9 all the tables were full and there were parties waiting their turns. Our server was super friendly and helpful and tailored a combo to exactly what I wanted. I ordered their egg and meat breakfast plate and subbed a gingerbread pancake instead of potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly and their housemade sausage patties are excellent. Theyre a little on the thin side, but not dry as you might expect from a thinner patty and the flavor is on point. The pancake is definitely the star of the show, though. I can't even explain how good this was. It was fluffy and sweet and spicy. The amount of frosting on top was perfect without being overwhelming and the gingerbread spiciness was just delicious. I would order this every day if I could.

Our first time here. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Also recommend to us. Great attitude here, lots of early morning people that are happy to serve. You can smell the bacon as you walk up to the door. Made us more hungry. We checked in on Yelp, but it wasn't busy when we got here. I like using the Yelp app to get on a waitlist. We were welcomed with a smile, and seated quickly. Coffee was hot and smelled great. Table is set up with creamers, sugar. Menu was just double sided. So they had a focus on breakfast and lunch. I like that more than having a 5 page menu. The mine has great descriptions of the food being prepared. So, now onto the food. We shared the western omelette, came with potatoes. The omelette was done great, had ham and pepper and onions. We really enjoyed the potatoes, seasoned just right, and fried perfectly. I pulled an Eric and ordered the single biscuit and gravy, in his memory. Just so we can try something this restaurant is known for. The gravy was creamy and had some sausage, the biscuit was smothered with this gravy. It was good. Also ordered the pancakes, they smelled great, but they were dense, not airy. The pancake two to. Plate, and they were the size of the plate. We would definitely come back to try something else.

This spot is owned by the same team behind Kate's Kitchen up north--which I've always found fantastic--and I'm happy to report this location is on that same elite wavelength. The Experience: The atmosphere is clean and impressively airy, making for a great morning vibe. Both the hostess and server were exceptionally engaging, even providing a personal water pitcher for the table--a small touch that makes a huge difference. The Food: Chicken Fried Chicken: This is the real deal. It was clearly prepared fresh, not frozen, which is a rarity these days. The Sides: The home potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the gravy was thick, peppery, and hit all the right notes. The Biscuit: This "super-sized" biscuit was essentially the icing on the cake. The Eggs: I ordered my eggs poached soft. They arrived a bit too soft (runny yolk was the goal, but these were just under), though in fairness, that's likely on me for the specific request! Verdict: If you want a breakfast that feels home-cooked with high-quality ingredients and attentive service, this is the place. I'll definitely be back for their famous French toast and medium poached eggs .

The Old School Family Dinner Still Lives!…read more I usually wait until I have been to a restaurant at least three times before publishing a review - that way I can be fair to both the restaurant and possible customers (anyone can have both good and bad days). So after a few visits over the past year (lock downs do get in the way) here goes Located in a strip mall off West 87th Street in Merriam, there is plenty of lighted off street parking and handicap access. Once inside you know you are in an old school family dinner. Booths line the sides and tables in the middle. Temptation Alert: You will have to pass the desert display on your way to your seat, so take a good look before ordering your meal! Should you let your eyes outpace your stomach, you can pick up that slice of pie to take home for a late snack (yes, I have done that too). Service has always been above average, but can drag a bit depending on demand. While I have had a couple of "mistakes" (over cooked burger and steak), they were rectified immediately and cheerfully. The menu pretty much covers everything you would expect in a dinner: all the breakfasts most everyone looks for, lunch specials, and dinners that run from light fare to steaks and meatloaf! With that in mind, I have never been disappointed in either the quality or quantity of any meal. My recommendations are Steak and Eggs for Breakfast along with Meatloaf for dinner. Prices are well in line with the neighborhood and similar restaurants. Considering recent lockdowns in the area, social distancing is easily covered, and all employees wear masks. They do have curbside take out and delivery. Do I recommend Pegah's? Yes, I think I am becoming a regular!

The ancho woodfired chicken salad -- charred corn, black beans,…read morecotija, crisp tortilla strips, chipotle-honey vinaigrette -- had the right balance of smoky, sweet, and crunchy, and the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The other standout was the raspberry coconut chicken: crispy coconut-breaded tenders draped in a raspberry coulis with toasted almonds on top, sitting over a creamy slaw. Sweet and savory done right, though heads up if you're dairy-sensitive -- that slaw is loaded. Portions are generous, flavors are bold without being over the top, and everything tasted made-to-order rather than assembly-line. Will definitely be back to work through the rest of the menu. I set up reservations online, got an email confirming, and when we get there they have no clue…read moreabout the reservation and want to seat us outside. It's hot out. Eventually the get us seated in the main area. My wife ordered mashed potatoes and green beans as sides, and the mashed potatoes were cold. They took those back to fix, so we each tried some of her green beans. We both looked at each other in shock and said "These taste like fish!" Plus they were cold, so cold fish green beans. So when they brought out the warmed mashed potatoes we mentioned that, and they grabbed those to fix up, and asked us to check our steak. They were supposed to be medium, but were rare. So they took the steaks and my fries (the only thing edible so far). After 10 minutes the steaks were back, and looked good, along with a new order of the green beans, and we each got a replacement flame singed sliver of bread. So we taste the green beans, and now they taste like warm fish. So we got the manager again and I asked if they ever taste any of this stuff, and she didn't really know what to say. She said they'd take it off our bill, and we could have a free desert. Okay so back to the steaks, which were cooked right but too salty now. And that's when I realized they never brought back my fries. So we flag them down again, and eventually get the fries, which are good. The desert menu is a bunch of uninteresting goo, but we settle on something and get it to go. I pay the bill, tip 20%, and we get the heck out. Later we realize that they had accidentally added another steak entree to out order, then credited it off, just like the green beans and "free" desert, but their little machine calcutes the tip off the total before credits, so I actually payed a 50% tip. Unreal.
