We arrived on a Sunday morning before Memorial Day holiday around 8am. The place was not busy; there was only one table with patrons. Upon entering there were 7-8 employees standing around at the hostess stand. It took several minutes to seat us which was odd because there seemed to be unusual confusion. Also, a couple of the girls were snickering and whispering. Even though we were one of only two tables seated at that time, our server took several minutes before greeting us and getting our drink order. Then it was a long time before coming back to take our order. While waiting we noticed someone else seated recently not far from our table that had to get up and get someone to take their order because they had been seated for awhile but not visited by the server yet. They actually got the manager who took their order and served them for their entire visit. Our food came quickly and was hot, but they got my wife's order wrong (fried eggs instead of scrambled). The bill would reveal the order was taken wrong. 30 seconds after we had received the food, the server came back by to ask how everything tasted. We hadn't even had a chance to try it. Then she didn't come back for quite some time. Our coffee was out and we were nearly finished when she returned. The website says huge portions, which may justify the costs if it were true. I had the chicken and waffles. My wife had the waffle platter and my son had the Midwest scramble bowl. It was all good and tasty but not huge portions. Started out rough! Do to your name and phone number. It's loud and missed a text telling us it was available. They do not call out at all. I noticed that another couple was seated before us. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome 80's. The portions were more than adequate. The food was substandard and bland. Bacon was not of good quality, hash browns and sausage gravy had no seasoning. The price for the meal was not worth the money. The service I received today was lacking customer service skills. I was served by Haley R. She got my order partially correct. Then seem to get upset when I advised her what I wanted. She was not friendly. The other thing I don't like is that you are put on the spot when paying., they being the credit card machine to your table. I left a tip. I have eaten at other locations and always enjoyed those. This one measured up as well. Met a friend for an early lunch during the week. Always busy but we got a table very quickly and service was quick and very friendly. I got the Yardbird and it was prepared great and tasted great. Friend enjoyed his meal as well.
