Visiting from California. Someone suggested Meatball and tried to describe the Build Your Own concept. I didn't quite understand it but I'm so happy we had dinner here tonight. We went for an early dinner since daylight savings time has ended and we get hungry earlier. Happy Hour is 3-6 PM Mon-Thurs, so we got a discount on drinks and appetizers. We had the most delicious bruschetta, fresh tomatoes and onions with a great marinade. We all ordered the TBM Grilled Cheese Sandwich with 2 meatballs with sauce. Your choice of several types of meatballs and several types of sauces. They all equally sounded delectable. TBM even offers The Meatball Flight, which is 5 meatballs!!! It was also the Thursday special. TBM Grilled Cheese Sandwich also comes with your choice of Waffle Fries, Salad or Soup. I would highly recommend this place, for sure. Ok, bye!
This one is tricky for me. I give the place 3 stars, but the food, 4 stars. Why must restaurants play music so wrongly loud. The Lion King song, no less. I had been eying the Blackstone location for a while, but parking down there is not for the faint of heart. Luckily, the one out west, has plenty of free parking. We ordered their Mediterranean Salad, and I was actually impressed with the size and taste. Was it worth $11? Ehhhh debatable. We decided to share the bowl, and ordered the "Under Ball Sauce" with creamy cauliflower, romesco pork, and the sauce alfredo. I am always leery with a rich sauce such as alfredo (no gallbladder club) but I was pleasantly surprised to find its not oily; like, at all. Pork can go either way for me, but with the mixed in ricotta and parmesan, they weren't half bad. Also, no grease or oil substitute pooling like another place that recently closed its doors. The service was hit or miss. While I realize the bar tender serves as a waiter as well, I was hoping for more water when our glasses laid empty for half the meal. He did come over and refill them, as we were paying our bill. Which for two people, you can't beat only spending $31 and leaving satisfied.
The drinks were over the top tasteful! The service, even in the later evening was fantastic! The feel of the establishment was smooth, personable and quaint! Our bartender Natalie was very professional and made tasty drinks.
Went here with the family thinking the kids would enjoy it. I really like the concept of pairing the noodles/meat/sauce that you want together as an a la carte meal. My wife very much enjoyed the special she ordered. My kids were being extremely picky and said "this isn't like at home" which is something only parents can understand how frustrated we were. The meatloaf I ordered was delicious, but the mashed potatoes were not my favorite. They had a tangy flavor that afterwards I found out was from leeks. I should have read the menu better before ordering. The onion rings were really good. Cornbread was prevalent in the breading, could have used a bit more spice in there to me but overall excellent. The service was tremendous and is a big reason for my 4 stars. Food was 3 stars, service was 5.
This place is amazing. The food was great. Our server, Chloe, was the best. She was very familiar with the menu, very nice, and it was a blessing to have her as our server. I highly recommend this place. Ask for Chloe!
Very tasty restaurant located in a great area of Omaha. Lots of food, desserts. And bars within walking distance. I had the gnocchi and vegan meatball pasta and it was awesome! So creamy and a large portion. The Alfredo sauce had the perfect amount of garlic as well. My table also got the meatball sampler and Caesar salad. It was a hit from everyone. Prices are in the mid range $15-25 per entree depending on your selection. We made a reservation same day are were seated right away upon arrival. The bottom of the restaurant is a karaoke bar. Fun location and tasty food!
Decided to try this uniquely named place. And to most accurately rate their signature food, I ordered their meatball flight which showcases all of their meatballs (5) and sauces (5). Some of the meatballs were disappointingly dry and bland, but their classic and marinara was delicious. I would love to try their meatball sub. They had a large menu with a variety of foods that I definitely want to try. Our waitress was so sweet. I think the variety makes me want to come back. They also have neat specials including kids eating free on Tuesdays.
This place caught our eye from the road when we were in town for the weekend and a quick yelp search lead us to see savory looking amazing comfort food and some spectacularly unique cocktails. We scored a spot on the patio in a lovely fall evening and were so pleasantly greeted and taken care of by Natalie. We were so happy with the setting, food, drinks and service and would totally return here if ever in town again. I absolutely loved the key lime martini. YUMM. We split the wedge salad and the stuffed mushroom bread and each ordered a single ball with sauce. We were also greeted by the area manager who made sure to make a nice impression and be a resource to tell us about this establishment. Would totally recommend this as a casual, clean, delicious place to stop.
Food was fantastic and the recommendations from our waitress were spot on!! They have a great happy hour with good appetizer and drink specials. The patio area was great as well!! Would absolutely come back!!
Pretty good experience at Meatball out west. They seemed to be struggling service wise, and I think they were understaffed. Despite the res, we waited for about 10 minutes at our table before anyone greeted us, and then another 10 minutes before the server came to the table. The server didn't know the menu and had to ask a lot of questions. Just a few kinks to work out. We loved the bruschetta! Very fresh tomatoes and basil, just the right amount of balsamic. It came with a plop of ricotta to spread on the crostini. I got the casserole: I chose gnocchi on the bottom with the Diablo sauce and the classic beef meatball. The meatball had great flavor and was juicy and and meaty but not greasy. I didn't care for the flavor I'm the Diablo sauce...I think it was the bell peppers in it? It was a very strong capsicum type taste that just didn't sit well in my mouth. I don't think the gnocchi were fresh or hand made. Dining partner got the pork meatballs on a sub with the classic marinara and that sauce was much tastier. Not the most kid friendly menu. Their kids grilled cheese was $8, and the sides were a la carte ($6 for fries). It did come with a big portion; my son just didn't need that much. The music was on the loud side, mostly 60s and Motown played while we were there. Casual environment, modern decor. I ordered the Farnam 75, which was very nice. Gin, lemon, simple syrup, Prosecco. Not too sweet, nice note of juniper.
This place was delicious. I tried the meatball sampler and my daughter the spaghetti and meatballs. I also ordered a side of the risotto and it was scrumptious! This place was a fun, and delicious find, around the corner from our hotel when we visited for the weekend.
I paired this with a bourbon berry smash and added red pepper flakes with a side salad. We got the Mushroom Cheese Bread bowl. It was soooo good. The portions were big so you'll definitely get ur moneys worth. This is paired with spinach, peppers and onions. I didn't think I would like this place but I'm glad I tried it. Definitely recommend.
I visited here for the first time with some friends for lunch after hearing great things about this restaurant from others. The location is great in Blackstone and the interior of the restaurant is very cute. Our server was very helpful in providing some recommendations as it was our first time visiting this restaurant. We all got meatball sliders, which comes with 2, as well as a side of waffle fries. I thought it was very unique to be able to pick from the different kinds of meatballs and sauces for each slider. I tried a beef and pork meatball with el Diablo and country gravy sauce on my slider. The food came out very fast and our server checked on us multiple times during our meal. I thought that the food was pretty good- the meatballs were definitely tasty, though I'm not sure they tasted more unique or better than normal meatballs from other places! Still a good restaurant with great ambiance!
We went in around 4pm on a Sunday and it was dead. We were the only people in the place and the servers were gathered at the bar looking like they were gossiping something hard. Our server was average. We got our food but I had to ask for water multiple times for a refill and a friend had to do the same for the Togo container. The patio door was open which was refreshing. The food was also just okay. The fried pasta balls were the best, but the meatballs didn't taste homemade at all. Not sure if this business is claiming for them to be but I could go to Costco and heat up the same quality in my opinion. The food came out insanely fast which is what tells me this too. Got the platter and the server didn't know what the meatball special was so we got another fried pasta ball which makes no sense. It's a meatball platter not a pasta ball platter. The Caesar salad was a good portion for the half size though I will say the croutons were spicy as heck and I couldn't even really finish it. All in all - great concept but was not overwhelmed by how great it was and won't plan to go back. read more
I want to start off with saying I think the staff here is incredible and accommodating. I usually order food for delivery and I had attempted awhile back to order from here and it wouldn't let me. I called the restaurant and spoke to such a nice guy who was trying to help figure out why and when we couldn't figure it out he sent me a gift card to try it out another time, super kind. I finally got around to trying it last night and it was delicious! I had the angel hair pasta balls as an appetizer, the meatball flight to try all the sauces and balls, spaghetti and lasagna. Everything was great. I loved being able to try the flight with all the different types of balls and sauces! There was a chicken meatball in alfredo that wasn't my personal favorite, a angel hair ball in Diablo sauce, vegetarian ball in pesto which was very interesting made with lots of mixed veggies, and then the classic beef and pork ones in Mariana and bolognese. I think I just like the originals the best the beef and pork were both very good and the bolognese is delicious. The spaghetti was also really yummy in the bolognese sauce which I think is my favorite of all the sauces. I got a kids portion of spaghetti and it was still a massive portion of pasta! The lasagna was a vegetarian lasagna which surprised me as it didn't mention that on the menu. I'm not sure if this is a new item or unlisted or what but I did still enjoy it! Very cheesy and came with two huge meatballs on the side. The angel hair balls were great, kind of like a fried Mac and cheese ball but different texture inside. I liked them! Overall, I will definitely be ordering again and trying something new next time. They are wonderful and the food is fantastic! read more
This was overall a good experience but I can't say I'm dying to return. My favorite dish was an unexpected choice...the fried pasta balls. Super tasty spin on cheese balls, filled with pasta and cheese with a red dipping sauce and peppers. I ordered the harvest apple salad which was really very good but had too much dressing. We were a bit overwhelmed about which meatball we should order so we shared the meatball flight. I'll save you the time (and money) and tell you get either the beef or pork. As for sauce, the Diablo sauce was the best by far. The vegan meatball was awful, expected an impossible meat but this was far off. Chicken meatball was super dry with no seasoning. We were also given a pasta ball instead in place of a "specialty meatball" they didn't offer at the time. Another fried pasta was not specialty at all, very weird they didn't just double up on a meatball...was this a money saving tactic? Ambiance was a large open space, cafe type of seating but with comfy chairs. Service was overall pretty cold to be honest, we were one of two tables and appeared to be gossiped about and viewed as an inconvenience rather than patron. If I end up here again, I won't complain, but I will likely not seek it out. read more

Today, I ordered the half lasagna and half chicken parmigian with a classic meatball. I wasn't impressed with the lasagna, was a bit wilty in appearance, and when I cut it with my fork. The chicken was crisp and very fresh. Stay with the meatball dishes or chicken parmigian, in my opinion. Service was still spot on. read more
I had been wanting to get back to Meatball for a long time, and when a friend was visiting from out of town, I got the opportunity! Our server was so friendly and fun! We started with cocktails (bourbon smash) and the fried cheese tortellini, which was crispy and cheesy and delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Harney St casserole which is totally customizable with choice of base, sauce, and meatballs. I went with gnocchi, alfredo sauce, and the romesco pork meatballs on top. Man was this good! Baked to perfection and a huge portion! My friend had the meatball flight so I got to try a few bites of the other meatballs and they were all quite good, even the mushroom-white bean was great! They also have a great patio that I'd like to enjoy next time! Highly recommend for something different and a fun night out. read more

It had been several years since we had been to the OG Blackstone Meatball. This one was far closer and this was our first time trying it out. Service at the bar was excellent. The female bartender was personable, attentive, and proactive. The apps she recommended were delicious as was the mango mule she made. When a table became available we moved in that direction and honestly, I probably should've just skipped the main meal because the cheesy mushroom appetizer mostly filled me up. Anyways, I did end up ordering a build your own with Risotto, Original Meatballs, and El Diablo sauce on the side. Truly would recommend the el Diablo sauce but bummed out about the rest of the dish. Risotto tasted nothing like I expected...not enough savory maybe? Even as a stand-alone, not sure I would've enjoyed the meatballs. The original meatballs were also ok. Again, not the flavor you imagine in your head. My friend ordered the pork meatballs and those definitely tasted better. Service was OK too, the server was less than anticipatory and handed us our checks before offering dessert (which my friend wanted). She also got the potato soup and said it was the most bland one she has ever tried. I had a bite and I'm inclined to agree. Again, service at the bar was top notch. Food was ok and some items probably need to be refined. Hard to say if we would venture back :/ read more

Overall, the food was phenomenal. We started with the fried mozzarella balls and they were delicious. I had the special which was beef BBQ meatballs with Mac n cheese. I would definitely order it again. Once we ordered the food came out extremely fast. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 is due to service. Our waiter checked on us regularly at the beginning but then once we got our food it seemed like he forgot about us. We wanted to order another round of drinks but it took awhile for him to come back to us. I think it could be a newer employee so I understand that can happen! Overall, I would return, we enjoyed our experience. read more
This is one of our go-tos for weekday meals. Either eat in or carry out, the meals are generous portions, tasty, and served quickly. Love their special meatballs. Never fails to be a favorite. Order the wedge salad...I think it's the best in Omaha. Drinks are tasty but a little pricey. Manager is friendly and listens to ideas. read more

We've been back several times since the world has opened up and they are even better in person. Great service, nice cocktail selection, and everything we've tried so far on the menu has been excellent. Our favs our the burrata app and the pork meatball with bolenese sauce. read more
Stopped in for dinner tonight on a Saturday. We've been big fans of the original location and this was our first time at this new location. Did not disappoint. The food was bombtastic as always. We love they have plenty of gluten free for my wife. I also love the tasty cocktails and they are reasonable at $8. Can't wait to be back!!! read more
Oh my goodness this place is SO GOOD!! I'd been to the original location before but I don't remember it being this tasty. This is a great place to go with a group of friends, family, or on a date. It has the vibe of a fancy restaurant mixed with a sports bar, perfect for anybody to visit for any reason. To start, we got bruschetta and stuffed mushroom bread. The bruschetta was average, but the stuffed mushroom bread was TO DIE FOR!! It was absolutely loaded with mushrooms and the melty cheese was the perfect blend to complement the flavor of the mushrooms. For the main course, I ordered the special of risotto blanco with alfredo and beef meatballs. It was so hot I burned my mouth but I couldn't help but devour it immediately. It was delectable, heavenly if you will. The white sauce mixed beautifully with the risotto, the thyme from the meatballs added a pop of flavor to the salty flavor of the risotto and alfredo sauce. The serving was massive so I could only eat half, but the leftovers were just as good as fresh. For dessert we tried the fried cookie dough - it sounds like a cheap treat you can get at a fair, but this was so much more. It was dreamy, a slight crisp on the outside with a wonderfully gooey inside. Each bite was better than the last, especially mixed with the ice cream. Our waiter was wonderful and made the visit even more pleasant with his drink, food, and dessert recommendations. All of the workers seemed to be happy to work there which is always a good sign for a thriving restaurant. I'm excited to go back! read more

This place was SO COOL! All they have is meatballs and they do them perfectly. My husband got the 2 meatball pasta bowl where you choose the meatball type, the sauce and the pasta type. He was pleased with his meal and there was so much we brought home some. I had the meatball flight, best way to try everything. One if the sauces was out so I got diabolical sauce, so glad I did because it was my favorite and I wouldn't have tried otherwise. They had a carrot soup as there option, hard is hard to find and theirs was spectacular! You definitely need to try with place is you nearby. They were busy AND understaffed but we couldn't tell, our service was excellent. Oh, the key lime pie martini...just do it. read more

Tonight was our first visit and the spousal unit and I are pretty disappointed. 1. The Old Fashioned ($8) (plus $1 for Bulleit Bourbon) took up less half of a small rocks glass...including ice, Old Fashion ingredients, and two maraschino cherries. In other words, a disappointment and definitely not worth $9. Likewise, the spousal unit said her kid-size $8 Bahama Mama (or was it Breeze?) wasn't worth the money. 2. The meatball sub with Romesco Pork meatball and bolognese sauce was ok. No complaints. Ditto for the wifey's meatball bowl. 3. The bread pudding was rather rubbery and four of us in the group agreed that it wasn't all that great. Again, a disappointment. read more
