We had my daughter's birthday party here, and it was a perfect event! It was Wicked-themed, and they wanted to make bath bombs and perfume. So... they did! The staff here were so incredibly helpful with both decorating (streamers already up before we even arrived!) and the crafting. All the kids were enjoying themselves and got to go home with a bath bomb and perfume. (Okay, actually, the bath bombs had to dry first, so we picked them up the next day and delivered them). We brought cupcakes, chips, other snacks, drinks, and all the plates and forks and such we would need. They staff did all the prep and clean-up, though (we helped), and they were really amazing throughout the entire event. I would definitely recommend this place for a birthday party to anyone interested! I would also recommend the shop in general, as they had lot of pre-made scented items already, plus kits for DIY soaps and candles and such. I had the wonderful opportunity to participate on May 6, 2026 in the Making memories with Mom. It was a warm welcoming, encouraging studio experience. The owner Danielle, is amazing, very attentive to all individuals, and was very patience with the young girls making sure their Mother's day gift were perfect. My friend and I had a blast here during Christmas time. I also came with my daughter and we made everything there was to make. The only item I wasn't crazy about was the ornament bath bomb but the little kids enjoyed those. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and remembered me when I came back even. Our community ladies group did a candle making event at Blended Essentials on February 27,2025. We had such a great evening learning about candle making and how to pick scents and colors. We had time to make the candles, socialize and got to bring our candles home that same evening. A special shout out to Danielle the owner and her team Kelsey, Julia and Jasmine. This was my first time making candles and it was a fun experience! The process is simple & fun. You get to choose your own container & pick out your own fragrances. I really enjoyed that part. Once you do so you just mix it with the melted wax and let it sit & you come back to pick up your candle within an hour or so. It's a cool date idea or just fun to do with friends. Was looking for a date spot that fed into my candle obsession and got lucky! Everyone at Blended Essentials was so nice and helpful, my boyfriend and I enjoyed every moment. My boyfriend made little soaps with shea butter and in the shape of ice-cream cones and popsicles. Be the ever willing participant, he really enjoyed himself and the ability to select his scents and soap colors. He felt like Walter White from Breaking Bad, haha. As for me, I made a gorgeous candle. I loved the ability to select a container (I found a very cute bowl) and selected some soothing spa scents, and a soothing blue color. Had a great experience celebrating sister's birthday! Great ambience...very warm and calming. We brought our own vessels but they had a great selection to choose from. There was also a great selection of scented oils and arranged well so it wasn't overwhelming to choose. We were helped by Riley and she was great in explaining the directions. We brought food and wine to celebrate while our candles were being made and had a ball. Afterwards, we made some purchases from their vast selection of bath/shower bombs. I have been meaning to review this amazing business, since we found it and decided to have my 12 year-old daughter's birthday party there, many months ago. The staff was amazing and Danielle, the owner, could not have been more helpful in planning and executing the perfect evening for the girls. Fun morning of soap making! This is our 2nd visit. Great idea for groups of friends. The process is easy and we left with many bars of pretty soap - you choose the fragrances and colors from a wide variety. Lance is a great teacher and the shop has jewelry for sale and other nice trinkets to take away. Totally worth it. Also, the B&A trail runs right behind the building for a bike ride or walk afterward. read more

This place is so awesome. We brought a friend for her bday, and I didn't really know what to expect. They have pre made items for sale, but you can also make a lot of them in the shop. You can choose your scents, colors, containers to make it your own. Our BE instructor, Bella, was awesome. She instructed us on how to make candles, bath bombs, sugar scrubs and shower blasts. She was very knowledgeable about the process and all of the products. When we couldn't get the proper formula down for shower blasts, one of the owners (Danielle) was quick to step in and assist. Then, when we were having some difficulty getting the blasts to come out of the mold, she enlisted help of her husband (the other owner), Lance. He was just stopping by to drop off supplies, but once he heard we were having trouble he "aproned up" and saved the day. The entire staff that day was wonderful and welcoming. Everything came out great and was reasonably priced. I left with way more than I planned to purchased, and I love all of it. I even bought gift certificates for family to have an excuse to come back! read more

I made a studio time appointment for my mom and I to celebrate her birthday. I had to change my appointment a few times due to conflict issues, but the process was simple and easy. I got a call about 2 hours before to confirm, which was nice. Once we got there, the ladies were super nice and helpful. My mom and I decided to both make candles. The (i'm assuming owner) was super informative and patient with us as we were either conflicted with the smells or which container to use. Everyone was super nice, fun, and we both had a great time!! What a delight it was to find this gem in Severna park. From entering this establishment, we were pleasantly overwhelmed by the aroma throughout the store. There is a feeling of calmness being here. We came in on a Friday evening and made candles, shower fizzes and sugar and salt scrub. Everyone was very helpful and kind and took their time explaining everything. Love blended essentials, the pumpkin bread and snicker doddle body butter is to die for! Made soap with toys inside for kids so they would wash their hands. Sented sugar scrub, lotion, body wash, and foaming soap all are do wonderful and layer my sents. Can not day enough nice things about this fabulous store and great addition to Severna Park.
