Finally, made it over to enjoy a holiday gathering dinner with some dear friends. It's a no nonsense place that attracts what I believe are regulars. Festive holiday decoration as if visiting grandma's house in a good way. Staff are friendly and responsive. We sat in the alcove with easy access to dance floor. The place, especially the women's bathroom, can be chilly during winter time so bundle up. Menu takes me back to old school dining. In addition to regular menu, they had specials for the evening. We ordered the BP Appetizer for table and I ordered the sea bass special. They were both comforting. The only thing is the "sea bass" reminded me of a different cut of fish. read more

Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. One of their waitresses with long wavy hair was openly hostile, raised her voice, and behaved like a bully over an absurdly minor issue. I placed my glass down a bit harder than usual, and she completely lost her composure--making a scene, lecturing customers, and turning a non-issue into an uncomfortable spectacle. It was aggressive and wildly unprofessional. This wasn't "customer service," it was a power trip. Someone who reacts like that to a harmless moment should not be working with the public. Management was no better. The so-called "manager" who came to our table seemed more interested in defending her behavior and berating another guest in our party than actually resolving the situation. The owner, Mike, was nowhere to be found, and when I asked a bartender who I could speak to about the rude server, she was dismissive and unhelpful as well. Came for lunch on a Friday in that awkward period after Christmas and before the new year. We had about 10 people in our party and there were a handful of other patrons but the restaurant was mostly empty. Service was excellent for a one-woman show. She was literally doing everything (hosting, serving, busing) except for the cooking. She was even answering phones and there were a lot of calls because of their upcoming New Year's Eve party. Apparently there's a karaoke bar downstairs. Ambiance is very dated and I feel like it's trying to be upscale with the linen tablecloth and napkins but it's pretty casual. I was sold on the pork cutlet special, which had blue cheese, some brown sauce and artichokes. The pork was lightly breaded. I typically steer clear of blue cheese because it's usually hit or miss for me. Apparently, our waitress feels the same and had nothing but positive things to say about this dish so I took the chance and ordered it. It wasn't off-putting! Though, I wouldn't call it an amazing dish. The cutlet was lightly breaded, had a nice texture and wasn't overcooked or dry. The gravy with blue cheese tasted like gravy with blue cheese and it drowned out the artichoke flavor, which reappears to be the canned/jarred kind. Nothing special about the vegetables or the scalloped potatoes. I had to dip the potatoes in the gravy for more flavor. The tiramisu cake was pretty dry and the cheesecake was decent but nothing to rave about. Nothing special about their tea selection either. Overall it felt like a decent elevated diner experience. I probably wouldn't come back on my own accord but wouldn't object if my party wanted to go. read more

Blue Pheasant use to be fun for dancing when they played old school 80s all American music . Now at around 9:30 pm the DJ switch the music to Salsa which excludes a lot of people . Same very unprofessional server two times in a row in the lounge, once lasty year and once recently. Last time she became upset that we didn't tip her enough and she came and told us that we owed her $5. This most recent time we told her we were going to order at the bar and she wouldn't leave us alone all night. She told one person we were not allowed to order from the bar. Then she told another that there was a 2 drink minimum (not posted anywhere). Then she came to wipe our table and got in my friend's face, yelling at her telling her she had a problem. When my husband got to the table and told her to stop treating our friend that way she went and got the manager who then yelled at my husband and then at me for looking in his direction. I had never been here before and did not realize it overlooked a golf course until I arrived. We came for lunch, and the server warned us she was alone. We opted to stay anyway. As it turned out, she took fine care of us, and we had no long waits. Unfortunately, they were out of several things on the menu, including what my husband and I had intended to order. So he settled for a hamburger, and I ordered the pork loins. We each got side salads, which were good-sized. They gave you a choice of dressing and it featured a decent variety of items. The pork loins were over-cooked, but the gravy was tasty. The scalloped potatoes were okay, but I'd have preferred au gratin. Well the waitress was kind to me, but called another customer a "bitch" in front of their face and it seems like they were about o get into a fight. which I thought was very inappropriate and rude! This was around 9pm, not later into the night, hence I was shocked! Since 1 waitress was super rude. I am trying to remember her names; I think Dee or Shirley . So deducted 2 stars because I saw the waitress being rude to others and calling names which is uncalled for, and not good for customer service. I saw the manager pull away the waitress from the customer who she was about to fight; I am glad he stepped in at the right time; I wonder if they let her go. And I wonder whether she would have fought the customer. Shocking huh The bartenders were super sweet, and provided great customer service! I tried their strawberry drop, which was delicious, as well as I had a glass of their Zin, which was super smooth! My buddies and I came up to eat dinner after 9 holes at BlackBerry. The waitress was nice and said we can sit anywhere. We decided to sit facing the course behind the DJ booth. We got in there about 7:40pm, she took our order, and we didn't get our food until almost an hour later. She did mention is was happy hour on well drinks and domestic beers. No beers on tap, only beers in bottles. How about happy hour on food? Not really, but for golfers there's a 25% off during a certain time. This is essentially happy hour for food. Also, while drinking, there are free pretzels, though they're a bit stale. Still fine for munching. I ordered a their burger, as the bartender said they were known for that. We also got the shrimp and calamari combo. I got a Sierra Nevada and my friend got a Blue Moon. The two other gentlemen seemed to be having a great time and Judy (the bartender) was pretty awesome. Well those two guys were having a lot of fun, and he ended up buying me and my friend a drink. Before he left, he highly recommended another place he grew up with. Back to it. The beer wasn't ice cold, but it was chilled. By the end of my beer, it did warm up a bit. The burger was very standard. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. It felt like it was lacking something though. The fries are the thin kinds, and these were alright. The We got 2 shrimps and a small handful of calamari. The tartar sauce was yummy, and the marinara sauce was alright. The vibes here were really good, I think Judy was setting the vibes. She's super sweet. Our bill came out to be about 25 dollars for burger, shrimp/calamari, and 2 beers. (the other 2 beers were paid for by the other guys). I think I had a great enough time that i'll be back. Even maybe come back and dance with some older ladies. Maybe i'll see how it is during the dancing portion. The tall male bartender with the dark hair was rude and unwelcoming. He pretty much commanded me to sit down at my table and not approach him to ask him for a new drink, at the bar. Hello, that's what the bar is for. Mind you, there were only 2 people at the bar. The female bartender was actually ok. I have occasionally eaten, and sometimes danced, at the Blue Pheasant for many years. I always enjoy the food, the ambience and golf course view. However, yesterday I dined with a group of 13 and was even more impressed with their food quality and service. One person ordered a custom meal (not on the menu) and the chef really came through. We each asked for separate checks--not a problem for our efficient server, Julie. I had made the reservation and asked to be close to the window to more easily see the golf course. They accommodated all our requests. We had a lovely time and plan to return again soon. I'm so glad they're open again post-pandemic! They serve lunch Tuesday through Friday, and dinner Wednesday through Sunday. They even have Karaoke Wednesday evenings (8 pm-12) and ballroom dancing Thursday through Sunday from 7-9 pm. read more

I would make sure there is sufficient lighting in the parking lot for people to see from the street that the business is there from the street we almost drove past it. Good place for quiet conversation. Food was mediocre. My friends and I visited Blue Pheasant for lunch today. The excellent part was it is quiet so we could have a pleasant conversation and hear each other. We grow weary of the very loud atmosphere of so many modern restaurants these days. One friend really liked the Bay Shrimp Louie Salad. Another friend was unimpressed with the Hot Crab Salad Sandwich. I tried the special - a beef with noodles, artichokes, dried tomatoes, and mushrooms, but it was mediocre; they should improve the quality of the beef and add more seasoning.. The waitress was helpful and attentive. One fun thing is that we were seated near a window and got to see many hummingbirds at the Blue Pheasant feeders. I saw dozens of hummingbirds. There is plenty of free paring in the lot at the Blue Pheasant Restaurant. The restaurant shares a parking lot with a 3-hole golf course.
