Came here for dinner and ordered the M beef combo for $159 The combo itself included a lot surprisingly, a good amount of different meats, bossam, soup and corn cheese, and a heaping variety of sauces to dip your meat in! The meat itself was delicious and they were all pretty good quality. One of the steak pieces (unsure of the exact one) wasn't too chewy and the server cooked it to perfection as it was medium rare and it was tender and soft. all of the meats paired perfectly with the rice and I really enjoyed the cooked meats! banchan was limited however compared to other places, but the kimchi was my favorite. The bossom was a good portion and the pork was juicy and well seasoned, delicious with the Korean paste sauce. Steamed egg was nice and fluffy and the soybean paste soup was decent. It's nice how the servers cook the meat and they were super attentive. It's nice inside the restaurant with some modern decor and feel to it. We went here on Saturday for lunch at 2pm and there was no wait! At first, I assumed it would be a Korean bbq place where you grill your own meat, but at this place, the staff will grill it at the table for you! Anyways, we were quickly seated and ordered our food. We ordered the Wooga Special, Soft Tofu Stew, Tteokbokki, Kimchi Pancake, and an Orange Soda to share. The meals here come with the typical banchan sides too, which was nice to snack on. Then the staff pushed their cart of food over to our table and started grilling our meats. That was such a nice and unexpected experience how they grill your food for you since it allowed me to eat while the other meats were being cooked! All of their meat cuts are so tender and had a nice marbling on them. Out of the meat cuts I tried, my favorite cut was the Sirloin because of how tender and flavorful it tasted along when eaten along with the dipping sauces it came with. I'd recommend this place! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the cuts here and liked how they help cook for you. We went on a Friday around 3pm and ordered the weekday lunch specials, which is a great deal with delicious food and excellent service. We were so impressed that the staff proactively offered refills without us having to ask, something you don't often see, especially since side dishes are complimentary. While better than the previous KBBQ spot that was here (Bull Ohgane), Wooga falls short of expectations. I think it lacks commitment to greatness. When you're in the premium meats lane and dare to go Non-AYCE, you better check all boxes. Meat quality is okay - of the beef set menu, the only things that were notable were the ribeye and short rib -- only because it's by definition a better cut than everything else in marbling. They cook for you here, but the works just want to get it over with. No interaction or smiles, just nonstop cooking whether you're at pace or not. They just pile on cooked meat awkwardly on the corner of your grill. You're there watching it get cold as you eat. Sides were really skimpy. Staff either ignored it or just didn't care to refill. Ambiance isn't great and I think the emptiness during peak dinner time reflects that. It's hazy, dead, and again-- doesn't fully commit to the lane they're in. Tables are at an odd height and very tightly fit the booths. Staff's just wandering around waiting for patrons to turn over. While I didn't have a bad time, I didn't have a great one. There are better options for both non-AYCE and AYCE KBBQ. This falls under the bottom half of that list. 3/5, hope it improves. Lots of IG hype, but it doesn't translate well practically. I'd put ToBang, Seorai, Baekjeong, and YakiniQ over this place. It is definitely better than Gen and Goku tho. read more

My husband brought me here for Wife's Appreciation Day! Originally, we were planning to go back to Bakjeong BBQ since that was one of our favorite bbq spots in SoCal and enjoyed the one in SJ. Then my husband found Wooga on Yelp so we decided to try it! We read a few of the Yelp Reviews saying they were "kid-friendly". When we read that, we thought that meant they would have kid utensils, plastic plates for kids, and would be mindful to get high chairs or booster chairs. In our experience, we had none. I reserved lunch for four people and when we arrived 15mins earlier, the restaurant was emptied. Right away, the worker brought us to the booth seat where there was no space to put high chairs. The table was wide but was not a great spot to put two active toddlers. The waiter moved so quickly that there was no chance to even ask about it. After we ordered bbq, the workers were constantly rotating literally one after another to cook our bbq meat. We felt so rushed! We enjoyed our meat warm but felt like they just kept coming to our table and cooking the different meats even though it started to stack up onto the side. The restaurant was not busy so not sure why they were so rushed. Totally understand if it was busy but one after another, a worker kept coming and flipping our bbq meat, then putting it on the side, switching the fire trays, and started grilling the next meat. Usually, we would appreciate the quick service when we were hungry but given the fact that we were also feeding two young toddlers under three, we felt like the workers were not mindful at all. They could at least give us a few minutes to eat instead of just cooking everything to put on the side so that our meat started to get cold. We had to ask for water cups and forks for the kids too! Definitely not kid-friendly at all. In terms of bbq, the meat quality was good! Meat tasted more premium and was quite tasty. They also served bok choy kimchi here, which I have not seen at most Korean restaurants. My son loved their Japchae appetizer as it was on the sweeter side. Overall, not a great first experience eating cold bbq meat due to the servers rushing to cook everything as we were still eating one type of meat and watching two young toddlers to make sure they did not touch the burning grill. Maybe when our kids are older, we will consider coming back. For now, Baejeong for the win in terms of service and being kid-friendly. The beef combo was great, really liked the brisket. All the banchan were good, the steamed egg, fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish, celery, and cucumber were all excellent. The tofu soup that came with the meat was a little off but everything else was on point. Service was excellent with multiple staff cooking the food, bringing everything out with good timing, portioning it for our table, and refilling banchan throughout. The ambiance was nice, very clean and organized. It was quiet on a Monday night though so can't speak to how it is when busy. When we first came here this place was new and there was very few customers even on weekends. Back then the value was great and meat was grilled to perfection coz the waiters/waitresses were not busy helping other tables. This time we came for a Friday dinner, and we were quite disappointed. While we were really happy to see the place packed, the food quality and value were at a point where we can no longer recommend this place. Our last review was dropped to 4 star from our initial 5 because the portion was getting smaller and price going up, but at least the food was good. This time though, I could feel that the waiters/waitresses were busy between different tables and could not grill our meat as well as they used to. The beef was either overcooked (dry and some even charred), or undercooked (which I guess some people are ok with), very inconsistent. This lowering of food quality (or service? I think we are better off grilling the meat ourselves) paired with the increasing price and reduced portion (most noticeable with the pork sampler that comes with the combo) makes it hard for me to recommend this place anymore. Great KBBQ in South Bay. Family of 4 got the Wooga Special which was a LOT of food. In hindsight, I'd probably size down to the 2-3 people (Beef) combo or ala carte. I would recommend being more conservative with the portions if your party doesn't have the largest stomachs. Combo comes with a soup of your choice. I really enjoyed the seafood soondobu (spicy tofu soup) but would avoid it if you're not a fan of spice. It's a little spicier than the standard soondobu. I really liked the beef but did not enjoy the pork belly slices as much. IMO they're a little thin which made them dry. Also a little gimmicky and hard to chew being cut into round pieces. Brisket as well. Meat grade overall was pretty good quality. I'd opt for exclusively beef. Tiger shrimp was yummy! The restaurant makes the sides really well. You have most of the standard banchan like kimchi, radish, fish cake, etc. Kimchi bok choy was pretty unique addition. They had bossam in the combo but no cabbage?? which I thought was strange since they're usually a staple together. Service was great. We had multiple servers tending to our meal. I would've appreciated if they were cooking a bit slower however since we were not could not keep up and previous pieces were piling up. Note that rice is complementary with the combo but needs to be requested. You do need to be proactive about asking for additional sides and water but staff were very fast at doing so. read more

A new KBBQ restaurant in Cupertino! Honestly, I LOVED my experiences here, and can't wait to come back. I had made reservations on yelp for both visits and they were very accomodating to our large group. Wooga sits on the corner of a fairly new plaza (at least to me) and is a pretty spacious restaurant with a high modern vibe to it. At Wooga, the staff will grill the meat for you. They are very attentive and are quick to cater to any requests and accomodations. It was a similar experience to Gooyi Gooyi, and I definitely plan on coming back. OKAY THE FOOD: * Beef Combo: You can't go wrong with this set, it comes with almost everything. The cuts are beautiful and grilled very well. * I love that all the combos comes with bossam, a choice soup, steamed egg, and fruits (as a dessert). * Banchan: They're all pretty tasty, and compliments the meal well. You are able to get more banchan at a request, and they're not skimpy at all. * Pork Combo: oH MAN. This combo set was SO dang filling, but the cuts were nice and honestly fulfilled any grilled pork cravings. Though a little pricey, the experience and meal is well worth it. Meats are good quality compared other kbbq places I've been. it's fresh and flavorful. Their gamjatang and bossam are my favorite. The food is very consistent and while the service staff are very friendly, a few, not all tend to forget what you asked for. This could also be because it was busier on some visits and is understandable. What matters is the food and the food is great in my opinion. I have visited here few times in the last few months with friends and also took my parents here as well. I will definitely be going back! read more
