Parties are more bang for your buck here. Kids parties have gotten ridiculously expensive and BLVD's bowling option is the best value IMO. You get 1.5 hours of bowling and then you get your game cards. The kids will easily play for another hour with the basic game cards with no upgrades. Like any party venue there are rules, but that's expected. The hostess was patient and very attentive. The BLVD hosted my 30th birthday party (on November 4, 2023). From start to finish, the staff was extremely professional and kind. I sent an email to them about planning my event, and they responded with a call and email the same day. I was able to tell them everything I wanted. Shanowa created the contract for me to sign. Mackenzie answered all of my questions about how the day of the party would go, and gave me a tour of the party room and VIP bowling area. I was able to drop off my decorations and they set up everything so well! Jake was my party host. He was so helpful and great with communication. He was quick taking our drink orders, bringing us things we needed. Food & Drinks: I had pepperoni and bbq chicken pizza, bbq and garlic Parmesan wings. All of the food was great! I had a few of the Ms. Pac-Man and Midnight Malibu Drinks and they were so delicious. Jake also brought us pitchers of any soft drinks my family and friends requested. The BLVD Staff was quick with refills.  Game Cards: the $35 game cards were enough, we didn't need to reload them for adults or kids. Laser Tag needed the most points but we had plenty left over to keep playing games. read more

On Sunday went to eat some food at the Boulevard . When the food came out we discovered a nasty long black bug cooked into the food. We were totally grossed out and didn't want to eat any more food & wanted to leave. When the manager came out, whose name is McKenzie she was probably the worst manager I have ever dealt with at any restaurant. She was not interested in making our experience better she discounted 2 items because one item we didn't eat and the other item had the bug in it. And half of the other, we were too grossed out to eat it because they were all the same type of pizza. Our whole experience was not good, but could have been better if McKenzie was a more understanding manager. She was very cheap and doesn't care about customer experience only the bottom line. She also lied to us and said that the bug flew on the food after it was cooked, but we looked at the bug and it was not moving at all . It was cooked very well into the food. It wasn't struggling or trying to move at all, but she lied and said that they grabbed the bug and they put it outside so I could crawl away in order to get away with doing the least for us. I have never seen a more dead bug in my entire life. That's how cheap she is. For customer experience . She is horrible. Lastly because she didn't care that we were grossed out when we left we ended up spending more than expected that day because we were still hungry but not for their food anymore. Her lack of care for customers experience who truly have a bad experience & are grossed out is bad business practice. Since the opening of that establishment, we've spent a few thousand dollars there. And this is how customers are treated with legitimate experiences that are not good. read more

Made a return trip to the BLVD with my wife yesterday to see if we had a better experience and it was much better. First and foremost Isiah's customer service skills are outstanding, he addressed all of the issues we ran into last time and was thorough in letting me know about things and offering us a game card to make up for how many games were down last time. There are still some games down but considerably less than the last time we visited and they are waiting on backordered parts which is something everyone is dealing with right now due to supply issues so it's not that big of a deal. We had a great time playing the games that were available. The food was night and day better than last time. The cheese sticks were far less greasy and just a touch of salt really brought out some great flavor. I tried the wings again, this time with the spicy garlic sauce and they were delicious. No more dirty oil/burnt taste to them, the sauce was fantastic and the wings were well cooked. My wife had a prickly pear-tini and a Bakersfield Sunset, she really enjoyed both drinks. The only small issue I saw other than some games still being down is the menus were really dirty. We sat at one table and both menus had dried food all over them, one had a big spot of garlic or something right on the cover so we moved tables. The second table the menus looked like a drink or something was spilled on them, the pages were sticking together. The menus need a serious wipe down but other than that a big thumbs up this time from us, looking forward to our next visit. read more

Deseree, was our server at this first time visit to the boulevard in Bakersfield, California. My future grandson turned four and she treated him like a little king. He flew high as he ran around the place in his Superman outfit, but spent most this time at the Mario video game. Before started with a little bit of a meal variety of kids dishes, fish, and chips that were super crunchy and delicious and moist. Tater tots that had a lovely garlic cheese sauce on it and what was really unusual was a jalapeño stuffed wonton as you've bit into it, it would ooze out the side. I was expecting more jalapeños so they weren't as spicy as I thought they would be. The building was full of teenagers maybe a church group or something they were very respectful and stayed with their own. Pleasantly surprised. Popped in to talk to someone about a fundraiser and stayed for lunch. It was Veterans Day so it was a little busier than usual I guess, but since I've never been here I wasn't sure if it was or just a normal day but anyways onto the food. Trisha/Tricia our server was outstanding. At times she seemed a little hurried but to her credit checked in on us more than once while we were eating and kudos to her for being attentive to her customers. Food came out pretty quick and with good temperature. Food was good. Garlic/cheesy sticks were lacking on the garlic and cheesy - they were more like bread sticks. Maybe I read the menu wrong. The marinara was not your typical boring sauce. It was tangy and very good. Fish n' chips were on point. Burger was very good and cooked perfectly, maybe a little more BBQ on it would be nice. Came here on a Saturday at 11:30 am. Was greeted promptly by Giselle who took my order. I usually order naked traditional wings and fries. I don't know why I changed it up and ordered Korean BBQ flavored wings and sweet potato fries. Presentation of wings and sweet potato fries looked delicious. I was expecting a sweet and sesame taste but I received a mouthful of saltiness (tasted more like soy garlic). After scraping off the sauce on a drummette, I took a bite into the wing and realized it was under cooked. Hopefully I won't have a tummy ache tonight (fingers crossed). I took a piece of sweet potato and was expecting crisp and sweet but got salty and soggy! I let Giselle know that service was great but the flavors and textures were off! Had our birthday celebration for our precious, adorable Amy tonight. What a fun time it was in the VIP bowling area! The food here is decent. I've had the Cobb salad and the gluten free pizza. The salad was decent and the pizza was edible. The burgers looked good. They have great looking drinks and desserts as well. Staff, for the most part, are very friendly and helpful. The place is really clean, both the restaurant and game area. We've come for both lunch and games, and for 2 different parties for our kids. The parties were nice and our guests enjoyed them, but I'm not sure I'd do it again because of the pricing. It's s lot of money and would have been worth it, but they make you pay per person and you are locked in to a certain number you are in a contract to pay even if you don't know who is coming yet. And they said you cannot add anyone that you did not already account for, and if someone extra shows up they would likely not be admitted past the number we contracted, even if we paid. So we had to pay for everyone who could possibly show up, at roughly $30 per person and only half showed up. That cost us $500 extra that went to waste. The host at the last party was not attentive or helpful either. She was nice though. All in all, nice place and the kids love it. read more

Recently helped host an " End of the Year Party" here for our soccer team and we had a great time! Our event space in the VIP bowling lanes and private room were perfect for what we wanted. The girls had a great time bowling and our package also included $35 gift cards to play games/ do ropes course/laser tag and I think that was their favorite part. The nachos were better than most restaurants and the dry rub bone-in wings we ordered were some of the best wings I've ever had! The specialty cocktails are super tasty and reasonably priced. We came here today to celebrate my son's birthday, he's been asking to play laser tag and we saw they had it here. They have a decent week day special and we played two games, it was a blast. I'd read some complaints about the set up so we were unsure how it'd go- but it was really fun, clean and a great setup. We had quite a few people playing and I'd definitely not describe the play area as a hallway like someone else did. The girls working were great and patient. We also bowled, After shoes and bowling it was $50 for six of us to play 2 games, average pricing compared to other places. The original plan was to leave after and go to john's incredible pizza, but the games and food were reasonably priced so we just stayed. The games and area are clean and well kept. As you walk in you are greeted by the host, and also have the reserve desk next to it. If you need a card for games get them at the reserve desk. They have some arcade games, bowling, laser tag, and Bungie walking above the crowd. The bowling alley in the back is very nice, good music and good service. Any time i stopped someone for help they were so nice. They also have party rooms and they were very attentive to our needs, even though we are away from the crowds. I didn't try an alcoholic beverage but the bar was truly busy. We ordered the chicken tenders and an order of nacho fries. The fries were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My son crushed the chicken tenders before i could try it. But him being a picky eater, i knew it had to be good. It's a good place to have a party. read more
